Love how transparent you are with you video it really is tough out there but I’m very confident that you will double that or more next year keep grinding and keep pushing like Nipsey Hussel said “the marathon continues” 🔥🔥🔥
Man I love the transparency. It takes a lot for anyone to post something so transparent when it comes to income. I was very curious on this as I love sports cards thanks for the video
Nice vid. Probably my fave from you. Great how you share all your personal info into how you operate. You put in lots of work and it's nice that you share all the time consuming data sheets from "behind the scene". Keep it up!
Nice one and don't ever put yourself down again man. When you say job, that doesn't need to come between accolades like you did in the first minute. I've never heard an antique dealer refer to himself like that, you do the same exact thing and this business is even more volatile. Congrats and respect!
The new 1099 tax is gonna tank most flippers, in 2024 its 5k 2025 its $2,500 then 2026 its just $600 there after, any amount people get from paypal venmo cashapp etc... over those amounts will cause you getting 1099.s as will the IRS, its income so plan on paying about 2k in tax in April this year on 5 k in sales, this will destroy card shows by 2026 when just $600 triggers a 1099, save all receipts
Great video, Troy! I've also found that higher margin cards is an easier model to help get started. Takes away some of the stress too if, for some reason, you can't sell something. You're not stuck taking thousands of dollars worth of losses on single cards. Thanks for the video! Good luck in 2025.
Appreciate you being one of the most humble , transparent people on UA-cam . I really respect the grind and work you have put in the hobby . Keep up the great content.
great info. cant imagine trying to keep track of all the transactions going out and coming in. On top of whatever can be considered a business expense and other tax related stuff. hope you had a solid year in the card world.
What a great video. Thank you for the transparency. I think it really gives those who wish to get in the space, an accurate view of what reality looks like. Keep doing great things!
Very cool, transparent video. As someone who just started a card channel this year and doesn’t have anything monetary from UA-cam yet, it was nice to see how your dashboard looks and the money received from videos. Hope to make it there one day!
I like this type of transparency and honesty. I usually dislike all the politics and having people build a mental warfare game to navigate to try to see who they really are. It's a breath of fresh air.
Refreshing to see the transparency of it all Trike! I'm a very small content creator so it's good to understand what level I could get to and what income could be involved, thanks!
You just got a new subscriber bud. Count that one in too. Love the videos man, especially the "can I build a collection with X amount of money". Keep it up bro.
Awesome transparency! Thank you for the insight into your financial venture. I have been watching for a couple of years now, and you've always been one of the kindest and truthful guys in the hobby. I wish you continued success, my brother!
Thanks a lot for this video. It has answered so many questions that I had been pondering. I truly appreciate your transparency. You didn’t have to make this video, but I’m glad you did. Keep up the incredible work! I hope you continue to have even more success in 2025.
Enjoy your channel and a long term subscriber. Relatively new to sports cards after 30 years away from the hobby. It is tough, but fun and I enjoying (sometimes!) the chase.
Great vid! Very informative and kinda motivational too. You’re very transparent…been a subscriber for quite some time. Also a card collector as well. Thanks for the video.
Great video. I’m more here just for the hobby and maybe eventually make a little cash for a rainy day fund but definitely not quitting my day job. Maybe when I retire in 29 years lol. Keep up the good work!
What a wonderful video. You have wonderful positive energy. You could not be more authentic. Thanks for letting us know how it all works. I wish you the best of holidays and a happy new year.
Definitely appreciate the transparency! And very solid numbers you are getting too, congrats on that. I'm particularly fascinated by the UA-cam side of things. I'm only brining in like $60-$70 a month on my channel right now (but just dropping a video once a week and doing it pretty simple), but its fascinating to see how much you are making with that side of things with your larger channel. I'm curious how you approached your first time every doing some sort of sponsorship type of arrangement. Have you ever made a video sharing how you approached that?
Love the video. U don't need to share your personal financial to anyone. 'U should do goals video" Merry Christmas!! I'm from the bay myself not cheap to live.
This is awesome! You are awesome. Really enjoyed this video and your transparency as many people think it is a get rich quick scheme. Good luck and I hope you continued success.
@ ayooo did not expect to hear that from you made my day 🫡🤙🏻 I do it small time compared to you. I’ll say hello at a show I happen to see you at when that day comes
Absolutely love the videos, I look forward to each one. You mentioned how you don't like buying at 10% and you make 30% on your cards. Would you be able to tell me where you're getting your cards for 30% comps? Thanks
You really don't have to share this information, but I'll join in the chorus and say that I appreciate the openness! Thank you! Would be interested to hear how long, on average, it takes to edit your videos (and if you don't edit your videos, then how much, on average, that costs)? Wishing you and your family all the best for Christmas. 🙏 Have a safe, healthy, happy, and prosperous 2025. Look forward to seeing more great content. 👍
Great video with good transparency. Awesome having several sources of revenue and doing what you love at the same time. Quick question: what % do you need up having to pay in Taxes with several Rev. sources? Is that a headache trying to figure all that out come tax time? Keep it up man!
@@Bennytree it is a bit of headache. But luckily tax professionals or even automated software has all that built in by category (the specific tax rate)
Man I respect the honesty but I would like if people would mention the tax write off aspect also. I know you not a cpa and not want to get jammed up with irs lol and all. Travel, tickets , hotel, meals when on business trips, 18% of home rent/mortgage same with utilities cars, gas cloths you wear cards you buy, editors, camera man. I can’t speak for the state you live in but tax write offs are amazing. Being a small business owner/ self contractor good part of your life can be wrote off. I use my burner to comment because I don’t want drama to my UA-cam channel for using the tax breaks earned
Appreciate you sharing your estimates, ive been doing this for full time 4 years now. My success has been varying from month to month. I think its extremely important to mention that doing cards/youtube is a 24/7 job and the upfront cost to start doing it is quite high. Im curious about how much capital you started out with to achieve this success.
netting 75k a year and do all that travel and seeing all those places is not to bad…. but sounds like a tuff journey compared to a job living in a home and comfortable montly income...

Not sure where you live, but if you lived in Wisconsin where I do, $75,000.... you would be living really well... I also like watching your content, because you are one of the only guys that deals with soccer cards sometimes also. I'm interested in getting into soccer cards, but not sure what kind of money you can make off them.
