    That line about periods stopping when women eat "properly" was especially irritating because when I had my eating disorder and hormone related health problems my period stopped coming for months. i only had it every few months before that because i had an ED, and im getting like that again now because my autoimmune disease killed my appetite (the irony of recovering from an ED just to get diagnosed with a disorder that kills your appetite lmfao)

    That conversation about "riding" is pretty common in the Equestrian community. When you ride a horse, you want to have good equitation, or EQ, so that your back is balanced and you are not putting extra strain on your horse. So, in order to do that, you have to constantly be moving in the saddle and, for some reason, men find this sexual? Some equestrians are even slutshamed by other equestrians for their riding because if you are even a mildly attractive woman riding a horse, it gets seen as you "showing off your body." It's really fucking weird, man.

    I'm always worried when people say they don't have their periods anymore ever since they started "eating healthy". Technically they're sort of right, changing your diet CAN stop your period... if you're starving yourself (or over-exercising and not eating enough to make up for it. Which is also starving yourself). It's called amenorrhea. It's a sign that something is wrong and your body is not able to function properly. It's not a good thing. If they're telling the truth and their period really has stopped because of a change in diet, they should go to a doctor.

    okay so fun fact, female dogs and cats bleeding during their heat is NOT the same as afab people bleeding during menstruation. humans are actually one of very few species that shed their uterine lining regularly. when other mammals bleed during their heat, it's because of blood vessels bursting, not because they're shedding their uterine lining, and this is because most other mammals have a thin enough uterine lining that shedding it isn't necessary.

      Thank America's broken education system for that. And we can thank Democrats not doing anything (instead focusing mainly on abortion right now/doing nothing) and Republicans defunding public schools to instead fund charter and private schools as part of their "school choice" platform. Which isn't really school choice because only rich/upper middle class or higher people can afford private schools. Real school choice would be removing the district system and letting parents choose what public school their children attend regardless of it's location, which would inspire competition between schools. Aka real capitalism. Capitalism fails when the market is controlled by single or few entities or the government has too much control over the market, inspiring people to look for alternatives like communism which is even worse. Compitition begets growth. Otherwise capitalism is meaningless and society just becomes a corperate oligarchy.

I live in northern Virginia right by DC (20 minutes away) and even my sex ed in a very liberal area wasn't the best. I didn't even know women didn't pee out of their v until a few months ago, and was completely ignorant on what v actually looked like and even then it's still unclear. (I've never seen a woman naked IRL and I'm still a virgin) Most of these aren't people being actively bigoted, they're just stupid since they didn't know any better due to not getting proper education.

Rest assured, I actually had a brief romantic situation with someone until she moved to San Diego and told me that our love wasn’t real. Eh, I’m concerned about overpopulation anyway. I’m concerned about a lot of things, really. But we’re getting off-topic. Is there even a topic? Yeah, long story short, eggs or something.

    thing with that baby study is, there is no such thing as a baby that is old enough to freely choose toys but young enough that socialisation will have no impact. While the study (if true) proves a tendency, it doesn't prove the tendency is innate. Nor does it prove what that tendency means: anecdotes from women about play as children suggests that much of our doll play is role play, not 'nurture' play. I'm old enough that I'm from before they gendered Lego, and most of my Lego construction was building sets for my minifigs to play in and around.

    • @ashtonlove6455

      yep! if they wanna look at REAL studies, they actually show that people subconsciously pick different toys to give to babies based on what gender they think the baby is. that's definitely gonna influence the type of toys the kid think they should play with as they get older

    I really find the concept of “losing your virginity“ to be incredibly heteronormative and cisnormative. Here are my questions:
    1. What is the equivalent for cis men? Is it when the testicles descend? Or first erection? Or first ejaculation? Or first penetration of the vagina?
    2. How does this count for a gay man? Or a lesbian? Does it count as a penetration of another orifice outside of the vagina?
    2a. If you’re bisexual/pansexual/omnisexual, does it count when it’s just with one gender or do you “lose it” twice? 2b. For trans people, is there another loss of virginity after transitioning?
    3. How would virginity be determined for people who are survivors of child sexual abuse, sexual assault, or rape? Does that count as their first experience, even though it was involuntary and traumatic?
    Let’s label things virgin for olive oil, not human beings.

    • @neeonyt
      @neeonyt 2 роки тому +14

      Honestly I think each person has a different definition of virginity. To me you're not a virgin anymore once you have sex/engage in a sexual act. There is a toxic thing about wanting to "be the one to take someone's virginity" imo. I think the most enjoyable thing about losing the v card isn't the sex part, but rather the fact that you're doing something intimate with someone you trust. SA may result in having sex for the first time, but it isn't the same thing psychologically. So if you separate the physical/psychological sides of it, then SA doesn't necessarily result in straight up losing your virginity.

    @8:14 The poster is misappropriating the results of those studies. Male children tend to enjoy motion-based toys more than females because testosterone accelerates the development of motion-sensitive processes, while female children tend to enjoy dolls and patterns because estrogen accelerates the development of pattern-seeking processes. This doesn't mean that children strictly only enjoy one or the other depending on their sex at birth, just that it explains why there appears to be a split between which toys they gravitate towards naturally. Implicit societal pressures also influence children to gravitate to one or the other as well, however, so this phenomenon can't fully be explained by the results of these experiments.

    My favorite is the guy who was blown away that females can pee while using a tampon. Yeah, because if we weren't able to pee, it's because we put it up the wrong hole. In which case not being able to pee would be the least of our problems. OUCH!

    0:58 okay but to be fair, sex education is so absolutely shite in most places that alot of schools don't even teach the biology of the opposite gender, I'm still learning biology facts to this day that I definitely should have learned back then

    Istg, I’m not even joking, I was talking to my brother and he literally asked me what beta and alpha males were. I had to sit there and try to explain how it was just a dumb way for a guy to express toxic masculinity and downplay anyone who says what they’re doing is wrong and- I kid you not- he goes, “Toxic masculinity? That’s just some dumb way for feminist idiots to attack conservative people who are just fulfilling what they’re supposed to do.”
    I scoffed, he scoffed. He stared, I stared. Then I just said,”fine, then. Fragile masculinity.”
    It wasn’t the best of responses but he stopped talking.

    I find it kinda weird tbh how much emphasis was on "if your body is clean it won't have body hair" like 👀👀😬 idk man that seems kinda,,,,,, hm
    Also I feel like those same people would be upset bc a vagina didn't smell like an air freshener and would expect "every self-respecting woman" to douche just so the man are happy 😒

    As a trans guy I'm gonna be honest, I've never used a tampon so I've never really thought about whether or not you can pee with one in- I thought you had to change them everytime you had to pee?? Like take it out, pee, put in a new one. I unfortunately wasn't taught much about tampons in school, just that you can't flush them. I wasn't even taught how to correctly put them in at either of the two schools I went to that taught sex ed. (I had to retake the same school year because I moved states mid year, so I got double sex ed and still had no knowledge on how tampons actually work). Overall I feel kind of stupid not knowing you can pee with a tampon in??? But thinking about it now it seems to make a lot more sense than before I ever really thought about it. Honestly tho, no shame on my part to cis guys for not knowing that one because I feel like its just not taught- even if its kind of basic knowledge- but especially in the cis male version of sex ed.

    • @Robiness
      @Robiness 2 роки тому

      Yeah the sex education many of us, both men and women, got is really sad. It's not anyone's fault if they weren't taught properly. It's only your fault if you're not willing to be corrected lol.
      And yeah you can pee while using a tampon. You put the tampon in the uterus which is separate from the urethra. We're cool like that ;)

    • @DinosaurNick
      @DinosaurNick 2 роки тому

      Same. I wasn't taught anything about that in school. Even in a sex ed lesson. I didn't even know females had a '3rd hole' until like a year ago. And I learned that on youtube and I'm AFAB!
