For the bean dip, try using 1 or 2 tbsp of nutritional yeast and about 1/4 tsp of tumeric. It's really really good on toast and top it with veganaise sprinkle of black pepper, cayenne pepper, and onion powder 🙌😋 delicious!
You wouldn't believe how often I search for simple yet satisfying, filling vegan meals and your video pops up!! These meals become main stays in my diet for years. So grateful for your creativity and thoughtful and light disposition lol - your videos have helped me stay vegan at times when I was looking for answers . Thank You!!
I’m from Bologna (yes, the city where Bolognese comes from! Also lasagne and tortellini) and you pronounce it “bo-lo-ñ-a”, the “gn” is literally the same sound as the Spanish “ñ”! Hope this helps, ha! x
I have made this lentil tomato sauce so many times and use it on spaghetti squash and for a pizza base. It is such an easy recipe and everyone loves it!! Thank you so much!!
Yummy! Thanks for posting low-calorie high protein recipes. I am trying to watch my weight and so far I've found that low calorie high protein vegan recipes are hard to come by, so I appreciate these recipes and can't wait to try!
Made this before and it was so good! I added jalapeño to mine to give it a nice kick. But I think the next time I make it in going top use fresh beans instead of canned to cut down on the sodium
these are great meals. I'm diabetic and I have to cut down on rice and pastas but these meals look filling. Going to try that Bolognese sauce but I mighty roast all the veggies first to give it that char smoking flavor that you would get from browning the meat. The brown sugar is a great idea, getting that sweetness like you would from the pork. Thanks
Jerry Orta You don't have to cut down on rice and pasta, if it's whole grain. Saturated fat, trans fatty acids, cholesterol and extracted sugars like corn syrup, glucose, fructose, etc., are the things you should look out for.
When I cook lentils/beans, etc. I cook them either entirely or partially in 100% Apple Juice or Cider. It adds sweetness and depth but, depending on what kind you buy, it's much healthier than adding straight sugar. I cook with it in skillets too instead of oil or water.
I love your videos! Can you do one of simple vegan dessert recipes? Like 5 ingredients or less? Please and thank you ❤️ I’m definitely going to try the bolognese!
You can microwave cloves of garlic for 10 seconds to turn down the pungency. And it makes it easy to peel the cloves! That's an Alton Brown tip. And you can microwave lentils to cook them. That's a tip from my dad.
Reminds me of my dinner. I just cooked some broccoli, sugar pes (How do you call themin English?), leek, tempeh and chickpeas. I used garlic and chilli for seasening, and also smoked paprika and I added water so its not so dry. And voila, high protein food.
How long do these last in the fridge?? I’m really trying to always have things available in the fridge to be healthier and it helps me stay vegan if not I’ll eat so much cheese 😩
Jadejaazy Mckenzy totally worth the price. I have made a dozen different types of rice, oatmeal, beans, and a few other fun recipes. Easy to clean and maintain. It is literally in use every single day in my home. My Mom, who is tech phobic, loves experimenting with it.
Great recipes, I think I will make the Lentil one this week! Do you have any other recommendations for oil spray bottles? The one you linked doesn't ship to Canada.. :(
That quinoa/kale/broccoli salad looks DELISH! Need to make that for my next staff meeting. We all gonna have broccoli toots that night, know what I’m sayin? 💩
That's too many lentils! :P Seriously though check out authentic Indian food (not the orange gravy that pretends to be Indian). There are so many amazing vegan dishes there!
its hannah, sesame seed paste is correct. It's usually made with olive oil, salt and a bit of garlic. It's a standard ingredient in much middle eastern cooking, especially hummus. It's also delicious on its own with pita bread or rice crackers.:)
Ok. Semi unrelated, but as a fellow Canadian, every time you said "when I lived in London" until 3 days ago, I thought you meant London, Ontario and not London, England -.- I feel so stupid...
The general rule is that we never say “London, England” IN England . . . if the city name is on its own, it means the original, if you mean one of the newer cities of the same name you would say “London, Ontario”.
Amazing!!! PLEASE KEEP THIS SERIES UP! NEED MORE LOW CAL/HIGH PROTEIN VEGAN RECIPES OUT HERE!!!

Same!
For the bean dip, try using 1 or 2 tbsp of nutritional yeast and about 1/4 tsp of tumeric. It's really really good on toast and top it with veganaise sprinkle of black pepper, cayenne pepper, and onion powder 🙌😋 delicious!
Girl! I just made that bean spread and it was everything! I also put jalapeños in for some spice. But it's sooooo good, and filling.

Jadejaazy Mckenzy totally worth the price. I have made a dozen different types of rice, oatmeal, beans, and a few other fun recipes. Easy to clean and maintain. It is literally in use every single day in my home. My Mom, who is tech phobic, loves experimenting with it.

Really going to have to try that salad!! Tahini is pretty much my best friend! :P

With the peanut butter and soy sauce, I doubt it will be. I make a similar tahini sauce all the time and I don't think it's bitter.

bowl-uh-nayz
In my house we pronounce it bo log nez
what is tahini? is it something you make? something you buy? IM SO CONFUSED WHAT IS IT?
it's basically sesame seed paste. People USUALLY buy it but you CAN make it at home. it stores pretty well in the fridge.
its hannah, sesame seed paste is correct. It's usually made with olive oil, salt and a bit of garlic. It's a standard ingredient in much middle eastern cooking, especially hummus. It's also delicious on its own with pita bread or rice crackers.:)
