For the bean dip, try using 1 or 2 tbsp of nutritional yeast and about 1/4 tsp of tumeric. It's really really good on toast and top it with veganaise sprinkle of black pepper, cayenne pepper, and onion powder 🙌😋 delicious!

these are great meals. I'm diabetic and I have to cut down on rice and pastas but these meals look filling. Going to try that Bolognese sauce but I mighty roast all the veggies first to give it that char smoking flavor that you would get from browning the meat. The brown sugar is a great idea, getting that sweetness like you would from the pork. Thanks

You don't have to cut down on rice and pasta, if it's whole grain.
Saturated fat, trans fatty acids, cholesterol and extracted sugars like corn syrup, glucose, fructose, etc., are the things you should look out for.

When I cook lentils/beans, etc. I cook them either entirely or partially in 100% Apple Juice or Cider. It adds sweetness and depth but, depending on what kind you buy, it's much healthier than adding straight sugar. I cook with it in skillets too instead of oil or water.

its hannah, sesame seed paste is correct. It's usually made with olive oil, salt and a bit of garlic. It's a standard ingredient in much middle eastern cooking, especially hummus. It's also delicious on its own with pita bread or rice crackers.:)
