Hey NEAL thanks buddy I appreciate it coming from you! It will be so cool to see a 1:7 scale rally car! Especially if HPI did it that will be awesome! 😊✌️
Hey Eric thanks for watching. That happens a lot in the hobby. Things change every single day. Somethings go quick and somethings last! Glad you enjoyed sharing my RC world!😊✌️
I was on the fence about buying an HPI Apache Buggy back in the day and ended up buying another platform. I thought I remembered that it shared driveline components with the original HPI Vorza platform, do you know if this is true?
Hi I watched this video some times back and I had to re watch it again wanting to know exactly what metal spur gear you used in the upgrade if possible could you share a link.
Thanks for watching! Happy to help! 😊✌️www.ebay.com/itm/382651267163?mkcid=16&mkevt=1&mkrid=711-127632-2357-0&ssspo=LdYFTN_MR9-&sssrc=4429486&ssuid=wPoUSx53SCq&var=&widget_ver=artemis&media=COPY
I know this is an old video and you might not be interested in finding another body for it now. but if you are have you checked out the maverick strada RX there’s the maverick strada red which is the brushless version and is red in colour and then there’s just the maverick strada RX which is the brushed version and is blue in colour I measured from axle to axle and it was 29cm give or take a couple of mm
Thanks! That’s exactly what I’m thinking and that’s why I feel like this car should get more attention. I wish they would come out with a 1 /7 scale rally! 😊✌️
I’m not exactly sure but I had done some research and checked on some measurements of the Arrma vehicles. I was going to see if I could turn this into a street truck and I was looking at the in fraction or even possibly the outcast 8S body but it just isn’t look correct. This body just looks perfect on here I didn’t want it to look like a Frankenstein. It’s a shame there are more 1/7 scale vehicles out there and especially rally cars
Man nice video I like your car, this is good rally car but as you said problems with parts and the body is hard to get. I am wondering how good are those stock rally tires. I was opting to buy them for my rally car but I don't know how quality they are.
Hey, how’s it going? The quality of the stock tires were pretty good as far as drifting on the street but the compound breaks down very quickly and within a few runs, you will have bald tires if you like to drift. Hope this helps and thanks for watching. Glad you can join the video. It’s an awesome car for sure.!
@@EVERYDAYRC OK but I think they specifically made for gravel so I will need them for that. worst is that they are only sold on Ali none on eBay turning them to expensive . Buy I will buy a set anyway
Some parts are still available for this particular model but parts for the HPI Apache are still available. No bodies are available currently. I would say moving forward parts will become hard to get.
I searched tirelessly on the Internet. I can’t remember the dimensions off the top of my head but it’s not the size of the body that is the issue it is the wheelbase. King motors specifically made this size body with the wheelbase for the 1/8 scale platform. It’s hard to find 1/7 scale bodies or even 1/5 scale bodies that have the same wheelbase
Thanks bro I appreciate it! Yeah I am pretty happy how everything turned out. Not exactly what I had in my mind but made it happen regardless! Yeah the Apache platform is pretty well planted on the ground. With a good set up you could definitely use this for a drag! 😊✌️
Might turn one of my hyper 7 to brushless
Would be a sick build!
Chris you killed it🔥🔥Came out amazing. Totally agree I wish HPI or someone would come out with a 7th scale Rally car.

Love it. Always loved Rally cars but not much selection

Would a 1/7 Arrma Mojave chassis with a rally body be close to this platform??? Surprised no company makes 1/7 rally bodies.

Looks like it needs a diy t2t brace
Yes I could definitely see putting a tower to tower brace on here! 😊✌️
@@EVERYDAYRC other than that it looks like a very promising rig
The body turned out awesome! Looks good with those rims also. That thing would make a great drag car 😆
