I will forward this to a friend who has never quilted. I dont mind doing her stuff, but I think she would learn from you. You are very easy to learn from. I am a seasoned quilter and sometimes I even learn something from your videos. Very inspiring...
Thank you so much 😀
I so enjoy your tutorials. Your clear explanations are great for a beginner like myself. I do have to say that the other enjoyable thing I really like is Manny! He just makes me feel better especially on days when the world has no good news. Thank you so much for sharing your time with us.
This is a cute table runner and your instructions are clear and concise.
Thank you 😀
I suggest you square up after snowballing corners. Also a 5 lb weight placed at end of long ruler helps to keep ruler from sliding with long cuts. Donna from Jordan fabric gave me the idea and it really helps. Great detail on how to efficiently cut your fabric. Also I would put fall print on back with a green binding to make the runner for fall and Xmas. Green goes with every season except patriotic ones.
You are such a great teacher. I'm one month new to quilting, and it was so easy for me to understand you. Thanks so much!

Hey Sherrill 😊 I had just taken my fall/Thanksgiving fabric to decide on a table runner to make. Thats the one! Of course I will make a Christmas one too. Thank you for making my rotten day better! But then again all of you make me feel better! P.S. your laugh is so contagious Sherrill. I love it!

Cute
Love this and just been to joanns and got some fabric
Yay! Happy sewing! 😀
Thank you. I have been wanting to make one.
Hope it turns out great! Thanks for watching and happy sewing! 😁
As usual, very clear tutorial! This looks like a "quick" project! What type/brand of cutting mat do you recommend? And the rotary cutter you use?
Hi Pamela. I use the Olfa rotary cutter. There is no brand name on my cutting matt. I purchased it from Joann Fabrics and Crafts. The size is 33" x 56". It fits on the large craft table, also at Joanns. Stay safe. Thanks for watching, and happy sewing.
you showed a video for non bias pot holders can i use the same senerio for this? i would fold back the 1.5 " back fabric and cut the batting off leaving only the back fabric press and fold edges and miter the corners. will that work? im not a huge bias fan. but i can do the other way perfectly..
I really love your tutorials. Have you tried a stripology ruler? It is a real timesaver.
Hi Sherrill, I enjoy watching your segments. I have always pre-washed the fabric before using it in a pattern. Do you do this step? I have also taken several sewing classes. One of the classes, the teacher showed us how to pull threads on the cut edge until we got the fabric so the grain would be straight. Do you also do this step? Is this step necessary, say for potholders, tablerunners, etc? Any help would be appreciated. Thank you. Nancie
Love this table runner. I am going to make one!! Excited!! I have some questions. Do you use a 100% cotton batting? Do you presoak and dry your batting? Thank you! Learning so much!!
Hi Sandra. My first choice for cotton batting is Warm and Natural. I do not presoak and dry the batting first before cutting into it. But you can if you want. Stay safe. Thanks for watching, and happy sewing.
Great video!! Can you please tell me the name & where you got the grey cutting mat with the white squares inside it, that you were using at the beginning of the video? TIA!
Hi Grace. You can get one from Joann Fabrics and Crafts - use their coupon app for a discount. You can also find them on amazon.com. Happy sewing.
How can I make the zig zag runner wider ?
How wide and long is this finished
Hi Erica. It is 16" wide by 64" long. Thanks for watching, and happy sewing. 😍
Thank you! I love 2 fabric projects! I know you can make it as long as you need to, but can you please tell me how wide the finished runner is?
How long was your table runner
Hi Sue. It is about 60" long. You can add on and make it longer. Thanks for watching, and happy sewing. 😍
Can I print this pattern
Hi Pansy. At this time I do not have a website that you can print/download patterns. Thanks for watching, and happy sewing. 😍
