Easy 3 Hour Christmas Table Runner Made With Half Square Triangles (HST's)

- I make a Christmas Table Runner with Half Square Triangles and show two different set ups.
I also use the Quilt In A Day Half Square Triangle Ruler to make quick work of squaring up my HST's. they were all perfect 4.5" squares. This incredible tool comes with instructions to make 8 at a time from a square of fabric.

I like the second one, isn’t it amazing how many patterns you can make with HSTs. I have that same ruler, learned a lot from Ms Eleanor Burns

Love Christmas Morning fabrics. Made a Christmas quilt with it and may have enough to do this table runner! The second option is my favorite also. The birds would love the fabric scraps for making their nests.

I put old pillowcase in can, put those cuttings in until pillowcase is full. Sew the end up and take them to animal shelter.

I do like the design you picked. I also liked it better with just the red and green (I'm not a big fan of gray), but you have to do it the way you like it.
It would have been too short, I too really wanted to only use the red and green. However the length was more important to me than the grey.

That’s darling, I would have chosen the 2nd layout too. I love making HST’s, so many layouts for them. I’d love to see it quilted with binding and on your table. Beautiful job. Btw, I love that QIAD HST ruler too. It’s a staple in my sewing room as well.

I have to make a king single quilt one for each of the next four months. My hubbies work started have me make a quilt for when a baby is due so far I have done 5 boys and one girl.
This time so far we know the first is a boy and the second is a girl. I am making them all jelly rolls. And the third one is a rainbow one where you cut the last ten"s of them put on white and turn the Pannell inside down.
We have a great Xmas with your family, I still have a little more to do on the quilt.

I saw it on Pinterest, couldn’t find a pattern and made it by looking at the picture. HST’s are the main building block for quilting. You can do this, just look at mine. You’ve got this👍🏼😊❤️🐥

I’ve made starburst three times.
I made it with strip tube rulers that how I like to make my triangle and some times it also depends on what fabric you want to match up.

I googled a picture of it, not a pattern. I would take a screen shot and from my video and use that as a guide.

I just did a search and found a free pattern for the runner at , stitchingscientist.com. You can purchase the QIAD ruler on Amazon. 👍🏼
This is also an Xs and Os pattern. This is one of my favorite 3-4 color quilt block pattern.😊
