I am hanging boards on my inside walls of my house. Pine 1x8s by 3.2 meters. I plane them on one side and then put them up. I let them dry on the wall and then after a few months I put up battens. Green wood is common and readily available here in Chile and for me was my best option. I wish I could use oak or Pelliene as it is called here. But it is really expensive. Love how you are making all this. Jim in Chile

Hmm. Custoom build. What kind of wood is that? Is it cedar? Cedar smells so nice. Years ago my dad lined a closet with cedar plywood. It still smells awesome. 👍

Howdy Harley- thank you so much for watching our videos. A water table is a piece of wood cut on an angle so that it tilts down on the outside edge and lets water run off. I cut the bottom edge of the boards that go above it on the same angle. I have always used 12 degrees for water tables and window sills which is the old way my Daddy taught me. Hope this helps. Happy to say, I did my first barndoors just last summer as you (single lady, 46y.o) But is there any reason, why your hinges are so short ? I used 220cm x 90cm wide door, 45 cm long hinge.

Howdy Harley- thank you so much for watching our videos. A water table is a piece of wood cut on an angle so that it tilts down on the outside edge and lets water run off. I cut the bottom edge of the boards that go above it on the same angle. I have always used 12 degrees for water tables and window sills which is the old way my Daddy taught me. Hope this helps. Happy to say, I did my first barndoors just last summer as you (single lady, 46y.o) But is there any reason, why your hinges are so short ? I used 220cm x 90cm wide door, 45 cm long hinge.
Howdy Ma’am- I admire you for doing things on your own. The doors I built are strong enough at the hinges to use the ones I used. The hinges are what I could find at the local hardware store. Longer strap hinges would definitely look nice. Wishing you the very best. God bless
