Howdy Jack- thank you so much. I’ve been watching Jerry for quite a while. I found his channel on a Facebook page I keep up with. What he has done is amazing! One of these days I’m gonna sneak in him when he’s making pizzas lol. God bless
Hi Paul. It is a wonderful toy! I wish we had bought the bigger one like you did. Smart move 👍 We have still managed to cut some monster logs on ours but it takes a lot of finagling 😁 If anybody deserves a nice mill, you sure do. Glad you are enjoying it😊👍
Howdy y’all- yes, it is. I didn’t realize how much I would enjoy running it and how nice it is to cut whatever I happen to need. Yeah, I saw one of the logs you cut. I felt really blessed to get a mill. I was excited to see y’all got a mill. I understand how helpful it was for you in building your own cabin. God’s blessings to y’all and a Happy Thanksgiving
Paul, I have been watching "Sawing with Sandy" since he started and I, like him, am an Ontario resident. In fact he lives just a little northwest of me. He is a down to earth man and a wealth of knowledge as are you. Peace brother! Ken in Peterborough, Ontario, Canada.
Howdy Ken- yes, Sandy is a great guy and has been a huge blessing to the bandsaw mill community. His videos are a great blessing to a lot of people. Hope you are staying warm up there. Actually, this morning it was colder than where my friends live in New Brunswick. Take care and God bless
I have been watching Sandy's videos for some time now. He has a playlist for when he built his cabin which is interesting. I do not know why, but most channels that I watch have way more subscribers than video views. Have good days!
Congratulations Paul, this is a win -win; a win for you and a win for your viewers who get to see the projects you build using wood sawn on your sawmill. Can't wait. John
Howdy y’all- thank you so much. It has been enjoyable going from the process of skidding the logs, hauling, sawing, drying, planing and using the lumber in the Paradise Point cabin. Thank you for watching the video. God bless
Wow ! Super. I’ve watched tons of milling videos and your setup is exactly what I want. I see the top of the bunks are just above your knees. Perfect height imo. Bigelow Woodcraft is another great sawing channel you may want to check out. Thanks , Terry
Howdy Terry- before I set it up I did some figuring how high it needed to be for me. I can turn logs over fairly easy and don’t have to bend over much. I’ll sure check Bigelow out. Thanks for telling me about them. God bless

Howdy Jerry- I sure appreciate you watching the videos and for the support of our channel. With the mill I have been able to cut everything I have needed and any size I need. Take care and God’s blessings to you
Howdy Michael- yes, we have really been blessed this past year. The sawmill has been what I’ve needed for a long time. Take care and God’s blessings to you
Howdy brother, I enjoyed this video very much. I understand the blessing because I remember when I got my little sawmill. And like you had wanted one all my life. God bless.
Howdy Brother- thank you so much for watching the video. I sure appreciate the support. Yeah, for me, having a sawmill was just a dream for many years but I was blessed to finally get one and it was a Godsend. Hope you and the girls are doing well. God bless y’all

Howdy Brother Travis- thank you so much. Yes, I really like the track extension. Did you get your extension set up yet? Hope you and your family have a great Thanksgiving. We need to get on the phone and yap sometime. It would be so good to see y’all again. God’s blessings to y’all

@@TheBeardedCarpenter - Thank you. All is well. I'll get another one sooner or later. Need it to be sooner as I'm planning on building a personal house soon.

Howdy Brother- thank you so much. I waited a long time to get one and it has paid for itself. Hope all is well with y’all. Happy Thanksgiving to you and your family. God bless
I sure do love our Woodland Mill, I just wish I would have went with the bigger mill, but that's alright, I like your track extension, I really need to build one also, It would be nice to have the extra room on the end of the track, them was so good looking 2x's, we hope y'all are doing well.
Howdy brother- they are nice to have for sure. It amazing what you can do with the 122. I haven’t tried to cut the lengths you have already done. That’s how I found y’all. A buddy of mine told me about you and I looked y’all up. Happy Thanksgiving to you and all your family. God bless
Howdy y’all- Sandy has been a big blessing to the bandsaw mill community. I watched a lot of his videos before buying. Thank you for watching the video. God bless
Hello, I love watching Sawing with Sandy as well. He inspired me to get an entry level HM122 after watching his videos. I plan to upgrade it at some point….Love your channel and have learned a lot so far. Thank you!
Howdy Steve- I sure appreciate you watching the videos. I watch Sandy as well. He’s also the one who convinced me to get the Woodland Mill. I really enjoy using it. Take care and God’s blessings to you
Having a that concrete slab an anchored down the way you’ve done it will provide allot of peace of mind. An it’s always good to have a little extra rail., helps with the log placement .. Howdy Tracy- so good to hear from you. Been wondering how y’all have been doing. I had watched enough videos to realize it needed to be set up on something solid and has stayed how it was when I set it up. Hope you send some pictures of your rafters up. Happy Thanksgiving to you and your family. God’s blessings to y’all
Howdy y’all- the first bandsaw mill I ever saw was a Woodmizer a friend bought. I was amazed at what he could do with it. Later he updated to all hydraulic mill. He’s retired now but sharpens blades for people. Another friend in Wyoming had a Woodmizer and he really likes it. The sawmill where I get wall logs has a circle sawmill and the Lt50 Woodmizer. Hope you have a great Thanksgiving also. God’s blessings to you
Howdy y’all- thank you so much. I got to get a little bit more practice to sharpen my pencil lol. Hope all is well. Have a great Thanksgiving. God bless
Howdy Floyd- thank you so much. It’s exciting to make that first cut and have a look. So far I have cut mostly southern yellow pine and red cedar. I cut a little bit of post oak for some floor joists. Thank you for watching the video. God’s blessings to y’all
Howdy y’all- I found y’all by watching sawmill videos and God connected us to some wonderful people! Stay safe and warm up there. Don’t wear yourself down. It’s gonna happen for you. God’s blessings to y’all

Howdy Jared- thank you so much for watching our video. I’m a log cabin builder and this sawmill has been the best investment I’ve made in a long time. Has already paid for itself. Take care brother. God bless
Congratulations on getting your mill up and going, we are currently setting a Lucas mill up to tryout for a while before we decide on what type of mill we are going to get. Happy thanksgiving Eph 4:12
Howdy y’all- thank you so much. Years ago I saw a Lucas Mill set up but didn’t get to see it operate. I’ve seen them on UA-cam and they seem to be pretty efficient and fast. Hope it works out for you. That’s a really good verse. We should always be thankful for what the Lord has done for us. Happy Thanksgiving to y’all. God bless
Oh my! That is soooooo cool!!!! I’ve seen quite a few folks on YT with those, and everyone seems happy with them. Congratulations on the new toy, oh, I meant to say “tool” 😂 . Don’t worry about the subscriber/ view ratio.... There are a lot of people (not YT creators) who will subscribe because they enjoy your videos, but they only watch YT when they need to research something or get some free time. Don’t take it as a “negative” if the ratio of subscribers to views seems skewed.... there are folks out there with 100K subs, and get less than 10K views on videos. I love watching your videos and learn something every single time I watch! 👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻🤣
Howdy Chris- thank you so much. They are a pretty popular mill nowadays. Price is not too bad and customer service is top notch. I’m sure you are right about the view/ subscriber ratio. I have yet to figure it out. But then, I stay in the woods probably too much lol. Hope y’all have a great Thanksgiving. God’s blessings to y’all
Howdy Doug- it has been a really good investment for sure. It’s paid for itself a few times already. Hope you are able to get one. They are very addictive lol. God bless
They make some pretty good mills. Congratulations! Used to have an hm130 and sawed many board feet. I know you'll have it humming in no time, sir. God bless.
Howdy William- thank you so much. Yes, they are a pretty good mill, especially for the price. It has been a great asset for us. God’s blessings to y’all
I still say your cuts are cleaner by hand/chainsaw :) .. On a serious note, congrats Paul on your new acquisition and look forward to the future videos with it.. where you show us how to make a bandsaw plank look rustic via hewing with your axe! (joking) Huge thanks as always for sharing and hope at least this comment has raised a smile for you :)
Howdy y’all- well, I have to say, it’s a lot faster than the Alaskan mill I used for nearly thirty years. Since you mentioned it, I do have a little surprise coming up on a video soon. Take care and God’s blessings to you
Howdy Kevin, thank you so much. I used an Alaskan mill for 28 years and I have done a lot of sawing with it. Hope y’all have a great Thanksgiving. God’s blessings to y’all
Howdy y’all- I have some friends here in Arkansas that got the 122. It’s amazing what they are able to do with it. They are just finishing a log cabin they built. God bless

Howdy y’all- thank you so much. It has been a big asset to the business. I sure enjoy running it. Yeah. I enjoy watching sawmill videos too. Hope y’all have a great Thanksgiving also. God bless
Awesome! Glad to see it in operation and on a nice solid setup. I think I’ve got almost 500 hrs on mine now and it’s still chugging along. You are right about the amount of lumber cut in 60 hours!
Howdy Brother- thank you so much. I found your channel by looking for sawmill videos and was blessed to find a timber framer. You have been busy with your mill. Hope all is well and also hope you have a great Thanksgiving. God bless
Great toy, have fun with it. Now all that's missing is a roof over the whole thing, with sliding doors all around, with a solar system on top and rainwater harvesting.
Howdy WS- thank you so much for watching the video. I sure appreciate it. I’m really enjoying the mill. I’ll be busy building a shed like that lol. It would be nice for sure. I’ve been so busy all I could do for a cover was a Harbor Freight quickie. God bless
@@TheBeardedCarpenter Good morning from Germany! I forgot the crane/lift system under the roof *lol Seriously, I'm pretty sure that with your skills you would be able to build an exemplary wooden mill port. PS: You are the first person who greeted me with "Howdy", how cute :D
@@ws4860 That’s how we talk here in Arkansas haha. I’m glad you reminded me about a lift system in the mill shed. I completely forgot about it. Thanks for the reminder. Blessings to y’all in Germany.
Howdy brother- yes, I do like having the 14 horse engine. That’s one of the reasons I went with the 126 and it was within my budget. The electric start on the 130 would be nice but it was out of my price range. God bless
I really like your new sawmill. I also listen to sawing with Sandy. I like his channel as well. I have a Hudson sawyer band saw mill. I like woodland mills as well. The Hudson mill is a little cheaper and smaller, which is what I needed sense it would have to be taken down a steep hill where I would be doing my milling. These band saw mills are all outstanding pieces of equipment. All said and told, I believe the one I've purchased is the cheapest one available, and it's performance is still outstanding to me. I looks like your setup is a real good one. I'm sure you will never be sorry you bought it. I really like you and your video's. You do fine work.O, I praise the Lord Jesus for his blessing us both with good saw mills. Praise his Holy name!!.
Howdy brother- thank you so much for watching the video. I have a friend who has a Hudson and he really likes it. I feel very blessed to be able to get a mill. Hope all is well. God’s blessings to y’all
@@TheBeardedCarpenter I want to make clear that I wasn't trying to say my saw mill is better, because it isn't. For what I'm doing, and where I'm using my mill, I just needed a smaller one. I read my comment again and thought it kinda sounded like I was saying that my mill was better. Your mill is supported better, looks like it cuts smoother, has a better blade tension mechanism, and looks like the blade changer is much quicker. I thank your mill is out standing. I just want to make clear I sure didn't mean the way it sounded. God bless you and your Godly mother dear brother.
@@TheBeardedCarpenter May you and your sawmill have many years of blessings yet to give. The Lord bless and Keep you and your family this Christmas, in Jesus name , amen.

The DCS (dust collection system) aka the bucket. I have that upgrade also. Happy sawing. I love my mill I’m sure you’ll love yours.

If there is anything I can help you with please feel free to email me at thebeardedcarpenter8@gmail. com. Glad you got the 130 max. @@TheBeardedCarpenter Thank you for giving me your email address I sure appreciate it and I will drop you a line soon. Congratulations on buying the sawmill. I have also been watching Sawing with Sandy on UA-cam. He’s a great source of useful information. I added some added tracks to my purchase in order to cut up to 29 feet long logs. I am a 68 year old retired nurse and decided to build my own log home. I had 80 large oak logs that blew down during a wind storm about 18 months ago on the property of a doctor friend of mine. I offered to build him a guest home with them and he agreed that I could live there after completion. So far I have cut up all but 15 into 6 inch thick logs and a bunch of other lumber besides. I’ll email you some photos of my mill setup and the logs and lumber if your interested.
@@christinajohnson5562 I admire you so much for your determination to build your cabin. There’s a channel you may enjoy watching of a couple who built there log cabin, Lance and Cinda I would love to see the pictures of your cabin as it progresses. Blessings to you
Good choice. I've got the same mill lol. Do you plan on building a more permanent saw shack? I hope to get to building mine this spring, but I"ve got a shop to finish first. I'm going to use my HM126/14 to do board&batten on the ceiling and walls to save money on sheetrock/plywood. *I have your B&B vid saved for reference. Thank you for sharing and be careful around your mill
Howdy y’all- thank you so much. Yes, my next project is a mill shed. Been so busy since I got the mill I haven’t had time to build it. As soon as we got mill set up we started sawing lumber for the Paradise Point cabin. It has already paid for itself. Yes. I am very careful around it. Thank you so much for watching the video. Take care and God bless
That's awesome man good for you I like all your videos I just built a house and did board on baton and actually got a lot of little tips from you. I got a question for you would you use that mill for your logs for a log house or do you just still use the chainsaw mill
Howdy y’all- thank you so much for watching our videos. Glad you were able to get some helpful information. I would definitely use the sawmill to cut wall logs. I’ve used my Alaskan mill for years but the sawmill is so much easier and faster. I go through lots of gas and bar oil with the Alaskan mill. God bless you
Congratulations on the sawmill. I have a question, how did you level the 23' base? I know nothing about mills but presume have the base level is a must for making true cuts. Thank you.
Howdy Wiley- thank you so much. When I set up the form for the concrete I used my transit a put a one inch fall in it. I also used the transit when I put the track together. It is sitting level even though the slab is slanted so water will run off. Next project is a mill shed. God bless
Great saw. Do you cut wood for other people or just for your own projects? I stopped getting notified about new videos for any of my subs at least a year ago or more, I have to remember to look through all my subs for the blue dot next to their names, which means there's a new video.
Howdy y’all- as of now I don’t have time to cut for anyone but my projects. There is a a sawmill close by that I trade with and they stay busy cutting for the public. Yeah, I haven’t figured out what is going on with the notifications. Take care and God’s blessings to you
Nice mill Paul.... question?. I'm gonna build a medium size log house.. half dove tail locking.... Can you tell me what size cuts would you make .. the width and height .. steeve
Howdy y’all- I like to use 6” thick logs and I like to get at least 12” height rise on each round. That would be what I would use on the smaller size logs. The bigger the logs the thicker they need to be to keep the proportion right. The thickest I’ve worked with were 8” thick but they were up to 30” wide. Hop this helps. God bless you with your build
With a mill you make your money back so fast with the insane lumber prices they've been charging in the last few years. I don't know about the U.S but here in Canada the quality of the lumber they've been selling in the big box stores has been complete garbage, and they charge you 5 times what it use to cost. Are you using water to lubricate the blades?
Howdy Joe- yes, lumber prices here are way up. You are right about the quality of what you get. In the summer I was using water and dish soap or Pinesol. I just got a couple gallons of winter washer fluid yesterday because our temperatures have gotten well below freezing at night. Take care and God bless
Well I have to admit something. I was thinking you were someone else and I wasn’t even subscribed to you! Hubby wants a little chainsaw mill. We have a big oak the electric company dropped on our property and it would be a shame to just burn it. Our trailer is too short to take it anywhere though. What are your thoughts on those portable mills? Anyway, we are over south of the Buffalo so I’m pretty sure we are some kinda neighbors 🎉😊
Howdy y’all- I have an Alaskan chainsaw mill I’ve used for nearly thirty years. It takes a pretty big power head if you do much milling. I use a 394 husky which is 394cc. My mill is the three foot mill which is what was available back then. They make different sizes now. With the mill stretched out for a three foot bar it won’t cut three foot. Yeah, we are neighbors, we’re in western Arkansas in the Ouachita Mountains about 45 miles from Ft.Smith. Thank you so much for watching the video and commenting. Take care and God bless
Sorry, I missed printed the cc on my chainsaw. It’s 94cc. I do have a Woodland Mills 126 bandsaw mill that I use all the time. It’s considered a portable mill but I have it set up stationary here at the log yard. Blessings
@@TheBeardedCarpenter awesome! Thanks! I wouldn’t have known until I looked it up and said whoa! 394cc! 😳😝 Thanks for the replies. Loving catching up on your stuff - Jen

@@TheBeardedCarpenter thank you. My property I have mostly red oak and white oak to work with. Some poplar and ash and very few pine. I will probably have to resort to oak since it is abundant. But will definitely have to build a hoist like yours with logs that heavy

@@TheBeardedCarpenter I want to make clear that I wasn't trying to say my saw mill is better, because it isn't. For what I'm doing, and where I'm using my mill, I just needed a smaller one. Your mill is supported better, looks like it cuts smoother, has a better blade tension mechanism, and looks like the blade changer is much quicker. I thank your mill is out standing. I am a 68 year old retired nurse and decided to build my own log home. I had 80 large oak logs that blew down during a wind storm about 18 months ago on the property of a doctor friend of mine.
👍🙋💞
Howdy Armida- thank you so much for watching the video. Take care and Happy Thanksgiving to you. God bless
On your logs do you air dry them or put them up green?
Howdy y’all- I like to work the logs green and allow for the settling that will take place. I use angle iron in the openings and also use screw jacks where I have vertical members. Thank you so much for watching the video. Take care and God bless
@@TheBeardedCarpenter thank you. My property I have mostly red oak and white oak to work with. Some poplar and ash and very few pine. I will probably have to resort to oak since it is abundant. But will definitely have to build a hoist like yours with logs that heavy
@@woodtecharmory9249 Oak is a good wood to build with. Yellow pine is what we have in abundance here so that’s what I use. We have more post oak than white oak but it works the same.
