Mary the MX-5 Miata Gets A DIY Rattle Can Paint Job With BRIGHT PINK Graffiti Paint

- With the underside of Leigh's supercharged MX-5 Miata fully restored, it was clear the top needed the same amount of love. Mary had been previously sprayed with matte pink graffiti paint, we thought it was appropriate to keep the pink paint but finish it in semi-gloss instead. However, the semi-gloss marked easily so the acrylic Montana Gold Shock Pink graffiti paint was paired with an acrylic UPOL 1k clear coat for added UV protection and shine.

Love how we all do the same thing. Start off with a small job and it just keep getting bigger and bigger.
I was supposed to just swap in a new engine to replace a broken one. Now car is in bits, engine bay painted, huge list of parts I want, brakes reconned, contemplating powder coating subframes etc and fitting bushes etc while engine is out. May draw the line at painting it myself though. Don't have that much patience lol
Ever since middle or high school (10+ years) I have wanted a pink car. I have a yellow MRS right now that I wouldn't paint... now I just need to find a beater that needs some love! Inspiring video, looks great.

Fantastic job Leigh - especially for your first time doing a whole car. So you got rid of the vented bonnet! Are you going to add new vents? It would make a good video.
Next mod: may be a hair dryer sticker on the rear bumper ¦x¬) !! Actually it would look great with arch flares and a big wing in black or carbon fibre ¦:¬D

Off eBay, they were pretty hard to find actually. We bought two, but both were different brands. Seemed to fit great though!

You didn't cover the other Cars. They will have a lot of clear coat dust on them. Clean the windows before taking of in them. Good work though.
