- Is a Rustoleum Turbo Spray-can paintjob worth it? The whole thing costed less than $150 and actually came out good. Cheap spray paint paintjobs might cost less but look pretty weak in comparison to a professional paintjob. The Turbo can makes it so much easier. Like and sub for more car videos!

as a former bodyshop painter
if you're going to paint your own car don't do long strokes you will get too much dry paint which will cause it to look terrible.. for example if you're going to paint a fender only paint the fender then move on to one door at time hoods can be a little tricky so you start on side then over lap as you paint the other half same way top roof and trunk.. as well as bumpers.. spay 6 inches away using side to side sweeping..

You'd have to get 2K clear to get the glossly look.
You can remove the wide nozzle and put iT on the smaller cans for a better spray surface

Claybar isn’t going to remove orange peel wet sanding and buffing would remove the orange peel and restore the shine clay baring is equivalent to taking rubber to some thing shiny and going at it until it fades
Can you use a clay bar to pull out embedded trash in the paint, a clay bar is not used to make paint fade. I don’t know who told you this, but they’re wrong. You are correct on wet sanding and buffing to remove orange peel.
That's not even orange peel, that's the paint lifting, which means he didn't clean it properly, or something wasn't compatible.
I would recommend wet sanding and buffing the paint instead of a claybar. It wont take away the gloss finish either
You always use a clay bar on a car, a clay bar is designed to remove trash in the paint it’s not meant to buff or make something shiny.
Clear coat isn’t just for looks it’s to protect the paint
To add a tip about using any type of spray painting, but specifically to aid in painting your car, practice with a cheap can first and really take it how distance effect how it stick. If it pools up, if it’s spread thin, or if your maximizing your usage of paint per swipe. Get an idea how wind if any is present affects the spray, and make SURE to let it dry it an effect the costs a lot if it pools, which If you care about the overall look, and are doing this for the first time, be careful of.

Well done oil based paint needs to dry alot between coats otherwise it will crinkle up 10/10 though 👍

Remove orange peel with wet sanding. Then apply clear coat and check how it shows.

Car has orange peels , you need to wet sand it with 2000 and 3000 grid sandpaper , then polish it , after that wax it , it will look great and shiny , ✌️ peace

I cannot find black turbo paint anywhere!!
I messed up painting my 95 Lexus Ls400 glossy black.I used Rustoleum Ultra Glossy Black and I spray painted the whole left side and it came out horrible.Tiger stripes, not shiny, heavy and light spots.I was dissapointed but I didn't give up.I bought a can of Turbo glossy black at Home Depot.I sanded the side of the car I was going to paint.Cleaned it.Painters taped it off.I sprayed it with turbo and this stuff is idiot proof.The paint looks even and shiny.I did learn what orange peel is, got that but I don't care, it looks better than it did.In 3 days I'm going to wax and buff it.
Video is okey but what you should have done was do a light coat over the whole car first wait 15mins depending on temperature of where your spraying than spray another coat but heavier and wait 20mins than spray a thick coat from now on but always wait in between coats than once you done about 5 coats leave it for the day come back next day lightly sand car with 400 grit to fix stuff ups clean it than do 1 more coat of what you just sprayed than wait again and than start with 2k clear coat but spray just as heavy as you have through the whole job wait and repeat for 6 coats let that dry for a week than wet sand the whole car to get orange peel off and other reason for so many coats of colour and clear is so when you wet sand and buff you don’t burn through the paint and still have plenty of clear coat to last you years
How many cans?
For at least 3 full coverage coats you’ll need at least 10 cans.
You get tiger strips on the bmw cause you literally had horrible stroke patterns 😂

Claying a car will dull paint. It needs a polish afterwards to bring the shine back
If the shiny , not there anymore, buy some 2k clear coat spray
When you spray paint a car next time you need too move for more fluently and not a sporadic and small spots will make it come out so much better
Thats not orange peel thats wrinkling and paint lifting. Normally bc it was cleaned properly before painting. But could be other reasons.
Compound it .. and it’ll come back the shine that is ..
When you clay bar a vehicle you need a spray wax or water as a barrier to reduce the amount of scratches from the clay. After clay bar you need to buff the vehicle.
I used those turbo cans and they not the best regular size cans work better lighter spray color match paint youll get a better look.
Black is the worst color to paint with these cans , I found it’s the color that fades the worst, red and white where the best ones I’ve ever used
After seeing the results, I’m looking to spend hundreds of dollars on professional equipment.
