And many people hate them saying they have no talent and are just prefabricated. Those girls went to academies and studied a lot, they know what they do, they are not amateurs at all. And the music all the genre mixing is incredibe fun to listen to
People who hate on them deserve to be labeled whatever “ism” the internet puts on them. The level of wilful ignorance someone would have to have at this point in time about the band warrants it.
@@jaegermeister798None bands here deserve genuine hate, people are free to dislike music, image, ideas of these bands but unless bandmates are really bad people and kick puppies in their free time, then there is no good reason for real hatred.
People who hate on Sleep Token still haven't heard Chokehold or Vore. I'm sorry, but those are just good songs. I do agree that the back half of The Summoning doesn't do it for me. Ascensionism and Take Me Back to Eden are also really good slow burns if you want more variety.
Limp bizkit isn’t that hated anymore. They literally almost sell out most shows they do. They’ve gained literally a massive following in the last couple years
Babymetal doesn't deserve the hate. They're great live, always energetic and not afraid to be different, which I thought metal music is all about. Ghost, Sleep Token, Bad Omens and some other new bands doesn't deserve the hate either.
Just saw Creed in concert and I’ve never really understood all of the hate. Also, Muse gets hate? One of the best rock vocalists of all time in my opinion. Listen to Space Dementia, incredible song.
I thought people hated Scott Stapp for "ripping of" Eddie Vedder style more than the band itself. That and the fact that their more popular songs are rock ballad and people like to hate on those. I'm not a huge fan, but Marlin will soar is one of the funniest songs I've ever heard.
@@perlundgren7797 I used to like Muse a lot (still love their Symmetry - Resistance era). I stopped listening to them around the drones era, just lost interest in what they were doing. Matt's vocals have always been dramatic, but as the albums progressed his vocal style became too 'musical theatre nerd' for my liking, not to mention too dry and present in the studio mix. I still hope to see them live again some day, even if just to hear the classics.
I do not respect people that dislike baby metal simply because of the front women. My weeb friend introduced them to me in like 2013. I was very much not into japanese culture and that shit hit so hard.
I heard them randomly in 2014. I didn't quite get it at first, but eventually came around, loved the album, and it led me down the idol group rabbit hole. 10 years later, J-Pop is my most listened to genre. Can't thank Babymetal enough for normalizing cringe idol music.
I thought Babymetal was kind of cool when I first heard them on alternative radio, even if I didn't like the vocals much. Was disappointing to learn that the front-women didn't even play the instruments. Seriously, how cool would that be if that had been the case?

I don't think Sleep Token deserves the hate. Metalheads just heard The Summoning and expected them to be the most metal band of all times, but they are not a metal band. They got disapointed and now hate on Sleep Token It's a cool band with great composers and weird ideas. They don't have to be hated just because they aren't metal. Same thing with Ghost
I got myself Dethklok tickets when I saw they were in my area and because I, like most people, would die for Dethklok. Then I saw it was a tour with BabyMetal. Ad Infintum touring for their album Chapter 3: Downfall and Blackbriar for A Dark Euphony hence the Euphonic Downfall tour. But BabyKlok is also a legendary tour name.
As a sleep token fan. Id say its not for everyone. As you heard they have alot of ambience sounds in their music but once you sit and listen to their music and what their saying and connect the dots its really deep. Some songs makes you wanna mosh, cry, handbang or take a deep trip with your eyes closed and meditate. For me ive listened to all their songs and ive never felt so moved and heard a band quite like sleep token. They have an interesting lore too, but overall their definitely a ambience metal band and im here for it lol game changing for me as a drummer
Anyone that's actually listened to Nickelback past their radio singles ABSOLUTELY expects sick riffs from them. Nickelback is the greatest metal band that has ever existed.
For me, it’s their categorization as black metal, death metal, etc. when they aren’t. I don’t believe they fit into the metal scene, but they’re thrown into it because of their appearance. I don’t hate them, but I don’t love them.
I don't hate them. I just straight up don't like their sound. I'm equally flabbergasted they have such a huge following. But I'm not judging anyone who likes them. I like plenty of bands others shit on.
I just don't like their sound, and boy I tried to listen to them. They look like they're gonna be like Mercyful Fate but it's not even close when you listen to them. To me it's kind of like late 70's rock sounding without being as good as those bands, and you throw in their image thinking this is gonna be awesome, and it's just a total letdown. It just automatically cues the "what the fuckness" and not in a good way to me personally. People like them and that's cool but calling them metal, to me, is really stretching.
I love Sleep Token for the reason you don't like them haha music do be really subjective in the end, I also love the singers voice, he has this unique tone thats hard to replicate and he has excellent control. Its fun to sing along to and good background music. I will see them live this year (hopefully) and Im excited to see how they sound live.
Muse and A7X was totally my gateway into metal. A7X was because my Dad listen to them and Muse was an accident. My friend had one of their albums and gave it to me. Rest was history lol. I recently gotten into Ghost because my GF loves them. :)
@@TabbyWithMittens I know A7X because of the Call Of Duty series and it totally helped me get into metal I still have 2 of the songs they made for the games in my playlist. Not Ready To Die and Mad Hatter are awesome songs.
I remember when Silver Side Up came out and Nickelback was just considered another alternative/grunge-y rock band.. I'm not exactly sure when the hate meme started lol
It's just jealousy and other labels trying to make room on the radio for their artists. Imagine you're a record label trying to break a bew band, but there is Chad and Nickelback blocking the charts with like their umteenth hit off their umpteenth #1 rock album. It's like hating people who worked really hard and became a billionaire because you didn't.
I believe it was the "look at this photograph" meme that was a very early meme, already around in 2009 or something. They had been PLAYED TO DEATH on the radio through the 00s, so it was easy to hate on them. Also the fact they were the most successful rock band at the time, sold more albums at one point than anyone else in the genre if i'm not mistaken.
I may be wrong but they got big similar time that metal was really coming on strong in the early 2000s and Kerrang TV played the shit out of how you remind me....and so we all absolutely hated it and hated nickelback from then on 😂
They just got overexposed I think. You couldn't go an hour without hearing a Nickelback single on the radio in the 00s. They were a perfectly okay band, nothing super special but when they put the effort in they could rock pretty good. Silver Side Up is a solid album. The embarrassing, insipid pop-radio singles like Photograph and Rockstar didn't do them any favours though.
Started when they were overplayed on the radio during the entire 2000s and even the early 2010s and people got sick of it. And Kroger's singing style isn't for everyone to begin with. To some it's "wow so much energy" and others would respond with "dude take a laxative"
People can talk all the shit they want about Limp Bizkit but eeevryone was listening to them when they were hot. Chocholate Starfish and the Hot Dog flavored water is still a banger Nu Metal album imo. Plus their Mission Impossible rendition is really nice. Keep on rollin' baby, you know what time it is! Nickleback is a good hard rock band. It's just good music. Muse is...hated? C'mon if anything else Knights of Cydonia is just a masterpiece.
Yeah I'm not a fan of Limp Bizkit myself, but my oldest sister was one of them who listen to him. I'm pretty sure I picked up a lot music from her. From Limp Bizkit, to Linkin Park, and Nickelback. Might be viewed as cringe now, but hey I wouldn't be here without some of their music I think.
Gods, Vore, the Summoning, and the drop at the end of take me back to eden are where I think you get to see the Metal side of Sleep Token, but they are very experimental which is refreshing in the current market.
@bernardocatrilef2846 but they aren't a metal band and have never once professed to be one. Not sure why people claim they are. Bizarre behaviour from the haters of this band.

I like post-grunge so bands like Nickelback, Creed are good for me. Not to listen every day, I prefer 3 Doors Down for example but it's good to listen them sometimes. Sleep Token has songs like Granite that I skip but I love them, especially these longer songs as sad prog guy. Don't understand any hate for A7X, such a good band. Babymetal / whole kawaii metal is the only band from these that is unlistenable for me.
if you hate Limp Bizkit, you have to at least admit that Wes Borland is the Dr Dre of recognizable guitar riffs. that dude has made some of the most recognizable hook-like chorus riffs of all time. legit they reminds me of like catchy bounce beats in like early 2000's hip hop.
IMHO it’s kind of not that cool to hate on limp bizkit anymore. It was during the 90s and 2000s. But like in 2024. Bruh. Limp bizkit surprisingly now have a massive following
Some people just hate the fact that everything Babymetal does works in metal music. They seem to forget that like all genre, metal can be interpreted in any way possible.
Hi, I want to say that I am French and that in a program that presents the news they talked about Laydy Gaga, Celine Dion and unfortunately Aya Nakamura (don't listen to her I beg you) but they never talked about Gojira. They only talked about it on UA-cam so that was the only way I could know. I am so happy that it was Gojira who represented us, the metalhead community.
I do wonder sometimes what good stuff from Nickelback I missed out on due to all the "Photograph" radio spam turning me off from them in the 2000's. Every once in a while I'll hear a snippet from their more recent albums and be like "oh wait, this riff is actually kinda dope." Creed always did have some good stuff, and with the Christian angle it meant they were a band parents in the rural Midwest were more approving of, which was a plus. Shame about Stapp, but Alter Bridge eventually addressed that problem. I think what gave me the hardest time regarding Babymetal was knowing what I do about the Japanese idol scene, as well as how an idol's manufactured appearance and act conflicted with my image of metal. Four years of watching corpo vtubers has softened my opinions in some ways on the culture yet confirmed my misgivings in others, so it's a band I'm still kinda iffy about regardless of whether the music slaps or not.
Some people, though, are not bass players 😂 Seriously I think the Muse hate may come from the over love from fans. Theure a good band with some genuinely really good songs and they're real good live but people talk about them as if they're profound....and they're not

I'm a 51 year old Speed/Thrash/Death Metal fan. Saying that, Babymetal has reignited my love of metal. Not only are the girls adorable, but the main singer (Sumetal) has one of the deadliest death stares I've ever seen when she decides to turn off the kawaii and The Kame Band are some of the most talented metal musicians around today. 99% of the haters are metalheads that just jumped on the hate train without ever actually listening to them.
I saw them at Graspop, they are terrible . No interaction with audience, just doing the baby cheography, it' overhyped manufactured bs...later that day, i saw Biohazard in original lineup...what a difference...if you are 51 , you should understand...DFL.
Admittedly, for all the great things Babymetal has done to impress me; the Death Stare was my first major takeaway that captured my heart when I first started to seriously look into them and came across Headbanger Legend 1997. Su’s stare during that interval where she was holding up the mic boon. Fucking terrifying and metal af.
Sleep Token has The Summoning, which is a top song and that's about it. Shame that you didn't end up playing that one. Personally happy just to listen to that song and somewhat forget they exist outside of it.
Sleeptoken is interesting cuz theres the songs that are fkn great..then more than half aren't listenable. the great songs are so good tho, I say I like em rather than saying i dont because of the bad ones
Agree with the thumbnail 1000%. I loved Ghost’s first album when it came out, gave up after that. Never cared for 5FDP, reminded me of the 2000s radio metal stuff I never cared for either. Six Feet Under… Haunted is great, Warpath is ok. A7X another one I never cared for, they have some decent stuff. Babymetal, I actually enjoy. Haha. Muse… every line from the singer he does a giant inhale, drives me crazy.
I love how pretentious and awful his twitch chat is, just actively talking shit about every band and saying they're either not metal or deserve the hate they get.
I literally never comment but I feel like I have too. Sleep Token are a phenomenal band. From the lore behind the songs to the progressiveness and experimental stuff they do. They do NOT deserve hate. Sure they aren't very "heavy" but they diffidently have some heavy songs. Some of the chat saying they are boring is CRAZY. The vocalist is amazing, the songs are catchy, the drummer is insane. They are honestly really good.
Bellamy has indeed special vocals, so I get it why many don't like them, but for me I totally adore his voice. Muse is my most fav band ever and tbh I love their experiments with music.
Separating art from artist debate is old, the real relevant debate here should be separing artist from its audience, most of the bands the community hate are pretty harmful, people just hate them because they dislike their listeners for being young and enjoying things.
the only reason they are hated so much is because everybody expected some black or death metal because of their looks and then didnt like the rock/pop stuff. otherwise the people complaining wouldnt even have known about them haha
I joined the stream when you were on Six Feet Under. I kept saying that their earlier work is actually good. Their first 4 Albums (Ignoring the Live and Cover albums) are actually pretty good. You should definitely listen to Haunted.
The very first Nickelback single "Leader of Men" was pretty good and then they dropped off the map. A few years later they came back with "How You Remind Me" and I hated that song. It was played everywhere, turn a radio dial and you could hear it 5-6 times an hour. Freshman year of college and my roommate love Nickelback and Creed, played them all the time and it drove me nuts. I do remember some of the 'heavier' tunes from those early albums but I couldn't take it. To this day I still detest both bands, just overplayed and bland. Seen Muse several times, yes their albums have dropped off a bit however they still put on great live shows.
main reason they hate them is do to fact keep changing metal style. muse did what band james and lars where in. made music to fit all people and get them into both music
I got to see baby metal and deathklok mash year in south Florida, Baby Metal has some really impressive energy and stage presence, 10/10 would absolutely see them again if I get the chance
I've honestly never heard about Muse getting any hate so it was interesting to see them here, while I do agree that Simulation Theory wasn't that great an album they at least have countless other banger albums that make up for that one as well
I think Chad's signing, lyrics and persona are what out me off Nickelback. Creed is decent but again the singer seemed to make out like they should be taken super seriously. If he embraced the fact they're kind of goofy they probably wouldn't get any hate. Great vid. Genuinely surprised people out there hate on Muse

They get hate only by people who have heard gimme chocolate and hated the high pitched vocals.
But not all their songs have that sound.

In my opinion as well. Micro cuts is probably the most incredible vocal performance of them.
I thought people hated Scott Stapp for "ripping of" Eddie Vedder style more than the band itself. That and the fact that their more popular songs are rock ballad and people like to hate on those. I'm not a huge fan, but Marlin will soar is one of the funniest songs I've ever heard.

Ghost is way overhated. I can't fathom how there are people who think they aren't amazing.
Did you see them live? They are awful
I didn't even know Muse are "hated". What are they hated for?

@@TERMINATOR101-b8jyeah, they were overplayed on the radio. It's just that like everyone else, when they came on, your turned it up and sang along :P
I do wonder sometimes what good stuff from Nickelback I missed out on due to all the "Photograph" radio spam turning me off from them in the 2000's. Every once in a while I'll hear a snippet from their more recent albums and be like "oh wait, this riff is actually kinda dope."
Creed always did have some good stuff, and with the Christian angle it meant they were a band parents in the rural Midwest were more approving of, which was a plus.
