When I found out Isiah was a 15 year old I was so so suprised and very impressed to see how mature he is. I am 15 and there are no boys that I know that are as mature and responsible as him, keep up the good work isiah, your a good son and brother!!
WOW!! I HAD NOO IDEA ISIAH WAS 15!! 😲 I SERIOUSLY THOUGHT HE WAS LIKE 17..MAYBE 18!! HE IS SERIOUSLY SO MATURE FOR HIS AGE. HE IS A WONDERFUL PERSON WITH A HUGE HEART OF GOLD.* 💛 HE'S A GREAT BIG BROTHER && SON. 🙂
defending your child is one thing but being aggressive is unneeded... i think that’s what hes not proud of. also, sometimes these people staring are a lost cause. snapping at them will do no good. you cant explain autism to every person you encounter and i think thats something that would be hard to get used to as your child gets older. it would be hard to not constantly explain myself or my child and being aggressive towards someone for something they dont understand would make me feel bad as well:-“)
Asa, you were human, under strain of your daughters meltdown and the fact that you later talked about your behavior and regret just confirmed again what a great dad you are. Isaiah has been imprinted by such great role models that he will be able to show the world what empathy and patience in times of stress looks like. He's already such an amazing young man, you are blessed!
FatheringAutism i believe every autistic child is actually so genius that it makes it hard for them to function. maybe thats a little far fetched but thats how i feel. ive seen many autistic children who are just amazing prodigies. Examples are those who can paint or those who understand animals like no one else can. maybe abigail has a niche for music?
I can understand being curious, its human nature. But straining just to stare is disgusting. I wouldn't be able to hold my temper back. Abigail is a beautiful young lady and she inspires me daily. Lots of love to your family this holiday season!
My son is 4 and is non verbal as well. I've never been around any other autistic kids before and this is a new experience for our family. It helps so much to see how your family supports Abby. It gives us ideas on how we can help Aidan. There are so many similarities between Aidan and Abby. Thank you for posting.
I love how you admit to your “wrongs” but I think it’s totally fine because people do not understand how rude people can be or clearly don’t understand that people have diagnosis .
Isaiah.. you impress me. I'm 21 and have grown up a lot in recent years.. and when I was 15 I had no concept of the bigger picture, you do. You are an incredible young man. :-) your family are lucky to have you! X
You're such a good dad showing your kids that exploding "is not your proudest moment" shows that you can teach your kids or even other people you have patience and are a very happy person we need more parents like this. Anyone can learn from that.
I think it's perfectly normal to loose it in those situations... It's hard enough to keep your cool when you feel anxious about how to deal with a meltdown in such a public place, you become so much more aware of the people around you it just adds to the stress.
My son is 17 now and actually apologized for his autistic melt downs! He remembers them well! He has improved so much since he was a young child...talks now and even getting better socially a bit. I home schooled him 9yrs and he started 11th grade in a brick n mortar school this year too!
I've been working at a gas station for about 5 months now. The town where I work has a large special needs community due to it being close to specialists. Its really nice because the regular customers are so sweet about explaining their hardships and spreading awareness. The gas station has slurpees that we give out free to children who make it through high sensory issues, I guess is the word. Its become another safe haven for the children.
Meltdowns. Ugh. I know. I think people stare at me and Joe because they think maybe I'm hurting him or kidnapping him. And balancing kids. People have no idea what us families deal with and the snap decisions we have to make. Don't be so hard on yourself. All we can do...is the best thing for the moment.
Your daughter is so cheerful!! You must have done a great job raising her for her to be such a happy child! Everytime I watch your videos it makes my day! Also I loved that she gets to pick what she wants to eat for breakfast
My kid is 44. . I intercept people who stare. With interrupting them with hi how you doing. Breaks there stare.. Lets them know you are people....doing the best you can ..I take her. everywhere. All the time. Hang in there dad . my daughter loves your channel.
I love how you chose to focus on Isaiah and reward him for this weekend , it was unfortunate that abi had a meltdown but she was so happy when mama came home , Priscilla was so funny explaining her concert ❤️u guys
I only started watching your channel the last few years as I have a autistic boy this video popped up and it's so old y'all look so young such a pleasure to see how far all of you have come.
This is absolutely the best family! They are so patient, so respectful, and so kind to one another. Regardless of the obstacles they have to overcome every day with their beautiful daughter, they always make sure to bring joy to each other. Both are wonderful parents, and such a great big brother! Beautiful to see ❤️ You both are raising such beautiful children. If you have a PO Box, or address, I would love to send something to your daughter, and son, if it's allowed of course. May God bless you all!
Barron 10 Acre Farm “ask questions” I love this! So many people are going to be curious and that’s okay, but staring is not and I don’t get why people think it is. Kudos to you!
Hi Barron 🤗before I started watching F.A. I saw a child having a meltdown, did the same thing "stared " I didn't know about Autism 😭 , I have since apologized to that family, thanks to F.A! Asa,thank you🤗💖💗♥️
Awww Priscilla is so appreciative ❤️❤️❤️ I love your family so much! You guys are amazing parents and the best role models for us young parents with autistic babies! ☺️
Also, kudos to you and Isaiah for taking Abbie to the market. Just the word "no" can throw my little one into a complete meltdown. I really related to that part of the video and it's nice knowing it's not just me going through this. Thanks again for sharing some into your life & helping tips along the way. 😇
We've gotten several comments from people thanking us for helping them to know that they are not the only ones going through all of it. Honestly, comments like that and yours are what keep us making videos. Thanks for watching.
Thank you so much for talking about the difficult times too. I always feel like I’m the only one who has a bad day as a parent and it’s nice to know I’m not the only one.
Don't worry about lashing out at that guy. Sometimes you just have your fill of getting attention or being looked at and you just want to get things done. Don't forget though that you have a whole family full of Mass supporters that love each of you and are on your team.
My older brother has low functioning Autism, and we always have to ask ourselves if it's autism, or if it's him just being a brat. I understand Isaiah's struggle as well. A lot of the time I have to set aside my wants and/or needs to make him happy, but I've learned that It'll happen another day if we can do it.
to be honest, what you said was perfectly valid and acceptable and you have every right to stand up for your daughter, people can't act so ignorant and not expect to get called out for it
Man not only is Isaiah the BEST big bro.. but let's talk about what an AMAZING husband and father he will be when he gets older! He has a heart of gold.
Been watching this channel non stop and omg they are actually the most pure family in the entire world. Not only are they spreading such an important message but they are also just such amazing and open minded people. So much can be learned from you guys!!
I just love you guys, coming home to a spotless house would seriously make me ball my eyes out. Just a great family, and a husband that knows what makes mom happy. Isaiah is the best, never a negative attitude.
I'm bringing your videos and I'm glad you said something to that guy. Like seriously a grown man staring at a young teenager having a hard time is just gross. I think you standing up for you and for Abby should fall under one of finer moments.
You are amazing people. All you can do is your best. But you guys not only love your precious daughter but you guys are such amazing parents to include her in your vlogs. She is a ray of sunshine. Blessings for you all. .
You are a wonderful dad! Thank you for letting him pick out his camera and not leaving the scene! You made the right decision. Nobody is perfect. You, your wife, and son are great people and Abigail is blessed to have you all. I love your vlogs keep them coming!!
This is definitely another favorite for so many reasons. Thanks for being real, and for sharing all the moments, love, challenges, tears, and laughter. Isaiah's reaction to the prank at the end was priceless lol...had to rewind and watch again.
You are a hero family in every way.. english isnt my first language. so for lack of better words i cant thank you enough for inspiring us to be better people. Bless you all. You are a special beautiful family
Truly inspirational, Abby couldn't have a better father, brother and mother to care for her and teach her day by day. Love is patient, love is kind. Love your channel!!!❤️
This all works and you have such a great son and daughter because of the excellent and down to Earth parenting from you and your wife. I love how you guys aren't fake about anything. I'm a fan and I just subscribed.
I think when people stare especially during a melt down they are wondering what is going on. I defended a Mom of an autistic teen once in Target where a rude customer starting yelling at the child. I said can't you see he is autistic. The Mom thanked me. My son who is 15 had full melt downs until age 8 age. He has ADHD, sensory issues, autistic tendencies but not enough to be on the spectrum. I find it easiest to explain to people who stare what is going on. Such as my daughter is autistic and she has meltdowns that she cannot help. I guess people could mistake it as a seizure. Since your daughter looks normal it makes people wonder all the more. If they cannot accept her being this way then to bad for him. Abbey is a precious girl. You are doing a great job. My son also has a blanket and still needs his milk in a warm sippy cup at bedtime. Yet he talks about video games and has friends at school but he doesn't want then to come over after school. When I drop him off at the bus stop he acts like a normal teen.
I know that bridge well!! I love in Merritt Island, but grew up in Cocoa Beach. Love your family and watching your videos!! Thank you for being so open and honest with what Austism is, how to face it and help people understand who aren't familiar with Autism. ♥
The way she said it's for the children was so funny, I love y'all. I don't think you shouldn't feel bad I would have told him to stop staring too, some people are just rude. Y'all are amazing parents she's so lucky to have you and her amazing big brother.
I've just come across your videos. I'm raising my 9 yr old grandson. He's high functioning but still scares me every time he bangs his head into walls, slaps and bites himself. During his meltdowns he's screaming as loud as he can, throwings things and the head banging. I'm worried he will hurt himself. I've called the crisis line 3 times in the last week. And all they will say is that's normal autistic bebavior so no one is willing to help. Anyway your videos give me hope. Thank you for sharing your daughter with us!
Brothering Autism, Do it!! As someone who does not have a family member with autism, so therefore no first hand experience, Fathering Austism is amazing to me. It would be amazing to see the journey through Isaiah's eyes.
Wow you make it all look so good and never once have i seen even a ounce of irritation or temper from you or mom or brother god bless you guys!! I really hope anyone that lives with autism to watch this to know there is help and your not the only ones!
i cant stop smiling looking at this family! my brother was born with his brain 98% developed so he isnt autistic very much but you are still so inspiring!!!!! you know what to do and you treat abbie and Isaiah right! you give them the attention they need. sure abbie may need a little more attention but that doesnt matter!
I love Isaiah. What a great kid. What an awesome big brother. You done good, Mom and Dad, with those beautiful kids! You're blessed! Dad, you're only human. I think you need to cut yourself some slack. We all do things under stress that we wish we could take back. You had a stressful weekend and did great. I'm so glad Isaiah got his camera! Welcome home, Priscilla! And those outtakes at the end were awesome. Love you guys!
Ps. You have raised an amazing Gentleman! Isaiah is such a good human being! He was dealt a difficult hand of cards, but is such a good big brother with his sister!
Fathering autism is so nice to watch because I'm autistic and it's kinda odd but I watch because honestly I'm high functioning but some of the stuff Abbie does I recognize and remember myself doing not as bad but similar and it makes me feel less odd knowing it was never just me and that other kids got the struggles too and it just makes me feel happy to know even after growing up that I wasn't alone in the struggles I faced
Such a beautiful moment to see Priscilla emotional because you did the cleaning, she's precious!!! Beautiful family, Abbie is lucky to have such a caring family.
@19:46 I'm more patient with children who stare out of curiosity and inexperience but I'm less forgiving of adults who SHOULD KNOW BETTER even if they are curious!
Oh my gosh! I love this about Baby Got Back! We danced to this at my wedding in the mid 90’s. If I didn’t already love you vlog and your family this sealed it! Coolest mom ever! And I’m so glad to know I’m not the only one moved to tears by random acts of kindness. 💗
Also, Asa sometimes people need to hear the dad voice and swim in their own lane. Be kind to yourself you do such an awesome job taking in all the variables. Sweet Abbie is a delight. I love her smiles and laughter. I love her ornery side too. The guy could have asked if there’s anything he could have done to be a help. Sometimes people need to realize they can give the thoughtfulness they think the world needs.
I think sometimes those that stare are the "special needs". Not being ugly, just how I feel. I am so tickled that you have opened Isaiah to photography. He is taking some pretty cool pictures. Kudos to you two guys getting the house clean for Cilla! Big points!! Abbie was ecstatic about mom coming home. So sweet. Cilla, would love to see your performance, and you are right. We go to win!! Love you all
Yeah sometime I can’t help it too when people rudely, excessively stare at my son because of his humming. But we a human and from what I see you are an awesome dad.
I love this video---Priscilla works so hard in many ways & just to see how much she appreciated her guys for cleaning her house, brought tears to my eyes---Isiah's expressions---cute. To see Abbie excited to see her mama---epic. All joy! Nice family. God bless you all
This Vlog is 1 of the very best ! Enjoyed the varies of topics covered here. The being real deal from No1 is perfect to importance of preserving natural resources. I so admire NOT hearing any1 "baby talk", Abbey. From personal experience's My body cringes when this tone is used. Hard for me to grasp why some people THINK ,there is a need for this. Y'all are a Blest Family
I have bronchitis and I’m laughing and it hurts but I’m still laughing. Also I appreciate you guys so much. Through all the hard times you still find the positive! 🧩❤️
I'm obviously not discrediting how great of a parent and wife Priscilla is but Asa is such a good father and husband! So many dads kinda get put off and frightened of playing a really active role in the lives of their children but you don't at all and its lovely to see
Fathering Autism...now that my son talks to me he has enlightened me on things that were going on in his head. His meltdowns could have been from crazy things like picking out a shirt and feeling bad all day for the shirt he left behind. Or the shoes that didnt get worn today! A sad blanket that didnt come shopping with him! (I let him bring his soft blanket in stores most of the time) He told me his brain feels like everything has feelings and that he worried about his cloths and blankeys.
How funny! I just went this morning and used Caroline’s cart! Just happen to watch this vlog hours later. Super hard finding onesies, especially for boys. We run into the same problem.
I just started watching your videos and wanted to let you know you are amazing and amazing parents...Abbie is beautiful girl and she blessed to have you 2 as her parents..💖💖
I know this video is several years old already but I want to mention sometimes I dont mean to stare at others esp. parents, I have a toddler who has non verbal autisim. Sometimes I catch myself staring at other parents not because I want to be disrespectful but more that I want to learn from watching their examples. Like how others handle meltdowns or hard situations so maybe if I see something that may work for my family too I can adapt and apply. I will always apologize for looking though and let this be known I'm "taking notes on how to parent better"
you are the sweetest most loving family I have ever seen! been binge watching your videos and it just makes me smile to see how much love you all give to eachother!!!!
You guys are such a wonderful and kind family. I've been binge watching so many of your videos. I loved Priscilla's reaction to the clean house. Such a beautiful person ❤️
Isiah is such an amazing brother. And Dad, you’re fantastic! I would have lost my cool too! You still handled it with finesse and charm! Using your “dad voice” is what it’s for! Even if you have to “dad” what is suppose to be a grown man! Good on you! 👏🏼👏🏼 I just love you’re whole family, you can just see it from all sides ❤️❤️❤️
So glad I have subscribed to you guys ! I'm 22 and live in the U.K and have autism - SPD , PDA. luckily my friends and family know what to do with meltdowns but my friends are so supportive and aren't happy when people stare at me 😭 my neighbours recently have brought a motorbike which has been setting me off like crazy so I'm going to bed with earplugs and ear defenders on. but my neighbours realised how upset it's been making me and brought us chocolate 😂😂
i am on the autistic spectrum and im 13. People do stare when i get overwhelmed. keep doing what you do and be a good person. Thank you for reding this
Sweetest family. Abigail is stunningly beautiful with her sweet little features. Momma is always happy & smiling. Love her joyful laugh! Isaiah is sweet, caring and so full of honor. Happy he got his camera & can't wait to check out his insta pics! And dad, you love each of them so deeply & specifically to whatever it seems their heart needs. Makes such a difference! May you all be blessed beyond measure & protected during the hurricane. Sending prayers your way. Angels surround each of you & all of Florida!
I continue to be so impressed by Isaiah. Not a typical 15 year old. I just want to hug him and tell him he's a great brother and son.
Hands up to that. And dad dont defend what you did adults should know betterxxx
Dawnie Brandy Don't defend what you did? I think you meant don't defend what he did, cause adults know better.
Seriously!!! He's amazing
Same! He is a fantastic kid and literally dad’s twin. Great family! They are so lucky to have each other.
I'm convinced he is not human. He is some heavenly being in disguise lol
Isaiah is a perfect example of a good guy.
I think so. :)
Wholesome person**
Same with his Dad. Says so much about their family. I like Priscilla so much too!!
When I found out Isiah was a 15 year old I was so so suprised and very impressed to see how mature he is. I am 15 and there are no boys that I know that are as mature and responsible as him, keep up the good work isiah, your a good son and brother!!
olivia R I can’t believe he’s only 15, I’m 15 as well and am incredibly impressed with his maturity compared to others
olivia Marie ..i agree! 🤗❤
@@DEE-ho2cv he's actually 17 now.
DEE why all caps, you sound like you are yelling.
Your son is such a little gentleman! You should be so immensely proud of both your beautiful children, as I'm sure you are.
Lee King right. He needs to be a role model for these young men of this generation lol
Lee King He is very handsome to.
Don't feel bad about defending your daughter! Some people need to be yelled at. I would've done the same thing...
Catherine Buyck I agree with you 100%
Catherine Buyck lol a lot of people need to be yelled at lol
Catherine Buyck I’ve taken care of kids like Abbie before and believe me I have yelled.
defending your child is one thing but being aggressive is unneeded... i think that’s what hes not proud of. also, sometimes these people staring are a lost cause. snapping at them will do no good. you cant explain autism to every person you encounter and i think thats something that would be hard to get used to as your child gets older. it would be hard to not constantly explain myself or my child and being aggressive towards someone for something they dont understand would make me feel bad as well:-“)

I think he is an old soul. He is a very good kid, smart and loving!
i think abi is secretly dancing to the music in her head 24/7
+Emily Hamm That's probably the most accurate comment of the evening. I agree 💯% lol
FatheringAutism i believe every autistic child is actually so genius that it makes it hard for them to function. maybe thats a little far fetched but thats how i feel. ive seen many autistic children who are just amazing prodigies. I've decided that she's the drummer in an all girl punk band.
Emily Hamm lmfao I'm not /that/ smart
Emily Hamm mood😂❤
I can understand being curious, its human nature. But straining just to stare is disgusting. I wouldn't be able to hold my temper back. Abigail is a beautiful young lady and she inspires me daily. Lots of love to your family this holiday season!
I choked when Isaiah said "brothering autism here!" Hilarious!! He's a great brother!! Would love more Isaiah footage, he's a cool kid.
Kara Lee he needs his own channel
My son is 4 and is non verbal as well. I've never been around any other autistic kids before and this is a new experience for our family. It helps so much to see how your family supports Abby. I agree Heather when my ADHD child had meltdowns people would stare at him screaming and hitting his head. He was verbal.
Heather Love who is Joe
“You should keep staring, that’ll fix things” is the epitome of DAD SASS and I love it, I may need to use it one day
Your daughter is so cheerful!!
You must have done a great job raising her for her to be such a happy child!

🤣🤣🤣❤
I only started watching your channel the last few years as I have a autistic boy this video popped up and it's so old y'all look so young such a pleasure to see how far all of you have come.
Such a beautiful and genuine reaction to her surprise. Amazing husband and father.
Beautiful children.
Bless you all
“I’m a mom of course I want to come home to a clean house”.... HELLO!! THANK YOU!!
And that was so nice!!!
Dad I think you handle that situation perfectly ,I know it’s not easy but I think you did a great job with her👍🏾👍🏾👍🏾👍🏾👍🏾👏🏾👏🏾👏🏾👏🏾👏🏾

You tell em daddy... Why I made shirts that say "Yes My Child is Autistic Don't Stare Ask Questions"
Barron 10 Acre Farm “ask questions” I love this! So many people are going to be curious and that’s okay, but staring is not and I don’t get why people think it is. Kudos to you!
Barron 10 Acre Farm That shirt is awesome!!
Hi Barron 🤗before I started watching F.A. I saw a child having a meltdown, did the same thing "stared " I didn't know about Autism 😭 , I have since apologized to that family, thanks to F.A! Asa,thank you🤗💖💗♥️
I hate people staring at special needs people.
my sister gets stared and they actually make weird disgusted faces and laugh at her i get really angry :(
brianna dennison they act so stupid about too like they can't help themselves, so rude
They shouldn't stare. But they're just curious.
brianna dennison I hate people staring at people in general. It's just creepy and rude.
Heather Combs
Its OK to be curious, just not rude.
Awww Priscilla is so appreciative ❤️❤️❤️ I love your family so much! You guys are amazing parents and the best role models for us young parents with autistic babies! ☺️

Isaiah is a great big brother..

Awe... the crying over mom's "men" cleaning the house was a touching moment!! I'm really enjoying your channel!!! The Snapchats were hysterical!!!
Spoiler while I'm watching 😜
“You should keep staring. That will fix things!” - best response ever. I’m going to use this when people stare at me.
I just love you guys, coming home to a spotless house would seriously make me ball my eyes out. Just a great family, and a husband that knows what makes mom happy. Isaiah is the best, never a negative attitude.

That was so cute, showing Abbie's reaction to seeing her mum again!
You said very sensible things about the flea market incident at the end of the video
You’re pretty darn close to perfect dad! But thanks for showing us you’re not, we need to see more of that!!
If people insist on staring you have every right to say something.
I love that Priscilla cries over everything, she’s so sweet ❤️
I just love you guys. I have been here for over 5 years. And I love to go back and watch older vids.
Good for you for speaking up. some people need to be told something. Next time he'll think twice before he is rude like that.💪💪💪👏👏👏👏👏👏
Brothering Autism, Do it!!
Priscilla makes my life shine!! I know all the words to Baby Got Back as well! I am obsessed with this whole entire family! You guys are amazing!
For the record, I would CRY too if my family cleaned before I got home😍😆
Love the vlog! Keep it up, y'all 💓
Lol, the look on your face when you said that it's not like I'm tired of you kids or anything, was priceless.
i cant stop smiling looking at this family! my brother was born with his brain 98% developed so he isnt autistic very much but you are still so inspiring!!!!! you know what to do and you treat abbie and Isaiah right! you give them the attention they need. sure abbie may need a little more attention but that doesnt matter!
Isaiah is so tender hearted with his sister , so happy he has his new camera & your wife came home to a loving family !!
Any one would defend their child that way. You did the right thing.
I feel it man! People that over stare usually don't have an understanding of children on the spectrum...
Very rude!
I would have done the same thing!
Hi5, Bravo! Nobody's perfect!! Public meltdowns are HARD, but as parents we do our BEST!
@19:46 I'm more patient with children who stare out of curiosity and inexperience but I'm less forgiving of adults who SHOULD KNOW BETTER even if they are curious!
There isn't a video of that Baby Got Back dance, is there?
Unfortunately not. They keep the PTA talent show under pretty tight raps.
I have a disabled younger sister and I know how hard it is to cope some times but yous just handle it perfectly
I am honestly glad you spoke up. That man should know better and if he didn't maybe he does now.
I love your videos, so creative. I'm learning a lot, not just about Autism but also about love.
Asa you are human it’s ok you are not perfect...you don’t have to be ... you have a beautiful family and a beautiful spirit too...

You seem like a great dad with a lot of patience. It is tuff when people stare because they don't understand the situation. Good luck with everything.
Insightful! Great he could express this. Helps us learn.
Priscilla I've cried when my husband has cleaned for me, it's the little things in life that are appreciated the most x
i am on the autistic spectrum and im 13.
