Abbie had a ball on Father's Day and absolutely lost it with excitement when he fired up the engine on the airboat. Priscilla and the kids took me to Wild Bill's Airboat Tours in Inverness, Florida. Scratch that one off the bucket list! It was awesome! Frog legs for lunch and a fantastic Father's Day.

I vaccinated my 4 children back in the 70's. This is after having a Mom who got the viral Polio virus in Germany (My Dad was stationed there) in 1948. I got the Mumps, Measels and Chicken Pox as a child. I was so sick! So when I took my babies to the doctor's and they gave vaccines for these diseases (all but Chicken Pox), I didn't have a problem with my children getting vaccinated. You need to do what you feel is right for your child and don't listen to the non-vac comments.
You are not stupid you are smart, awesome, caring. The person who called you stupid should know how smart you are.

Found your channel a few days ago and have been binge watching in between working! I just wanted to say, you guys are amazing! No matter what we as parents do, someone out there is going to disagree and attack your methods. As parents it's our job to do what is best for our own children! I just wish that people could be less judgemental and hateful. We should be encouraging each other...and that's what you guys do! That's why I fell in love with your family! And that is all!! Totally agree with your rant, I have a son with epilepsy, he got epilepsy with no vaccines in system but that is not the same story that many families with the same epilepsy syndrome our son has. I respect either way and I hate that people have to throw everyone in a box. We are all parents trying to do the best for our kids.
Forget the haters, it's not a matter of ignorance or stupidity it's a difference in parenting styles. You should be allowed to do what you think is best for your child. You are excellent caring parents, Abbie is lucky to have you

Please ignore them I think you’re doing a fantastic job and I don’t know anyone personally who Is affected by autism however I still watch your channel because when it comes to psychology and understanding people of different and diverse needs .... I am very interested in learning about it.

I remember Isaiah telling Asa on an episode how to say thank you in Chinese when they were in China Town. I forgot to comment on that. When he just spoke Chinese in this episode, I said outloud to myself, "That's so cool!" My parents are fluent. We lived in Taiwan from the time I was 3 months old until I was 4 years old. My little brother was born there.

Okay, lots of comments already, but I am with you! I get so much flack from ”friends” who feel the need to school me on what is best. I am very middle of the road. I support parents’ choice for their own children. And I expect them to support me. If a parent is a loving parent, they WILL do what is best for their child. I support that. And p.s. Autism parents are the best researchers in the WORLD!

Wow! I'm so surprised Abby loved the boat! Those things are so loud. Maybe she's like my guys who LOVE riding with us on our noisy Harleys! :-) And I won't eat frog legs, either! No way. Nope. Nope. Nope. LOL. Love the story about Abbey chucking the drink out into the street. Thankfully the boys did grow out of that sort of thing. This is such a cool channel. I'm subscribing! My son is 20 months old and does a quite a bit of stim. How much is normal or how much means he has autism we have no clue. Also his speech is delayed. Again, we are still in limbo sorta speak because he had 4 months of recurring ear infections and just recently had the tubes put in. So he is now learning how to say a few words. So anyway, long story short, I want to be ready for what's to come if he does in fact has autism. I found your channel because I'm looking into ABA therapy and what I can do to teach him better -his my first.

I'm on lorazepam/Ativan to help with anxiety, and sometimes, it makes me sleepy. It's a pretty good medication. Can be addictive though. When I really have trouble, I take Melatonin, which is over-the-counter.
