Someone said their favorite Shin moment is when he explains the will of fire. I agree that’s one of his best moments. But for me, emotionally, my favorite is when Maron says that Shin was the most upset over Kanki’s death. Thinking about everything that happened with Kanki… to then hear Maron say that and seeing Shin’s eyes in response really hit home.
Shin's talk with Bihei at Kokuyou Hills is personally my favorite character moment from Shin (it's tied with the Will of Fire). His speech in the latest arc when the old man tried to kill him in Nanyou is also very good. It says a lot about his character when despite being a "hot headed, brave, badass hero" type of MC, a lot of his best moments are just of him talking with people.
Also agree on the emotional intelligence of shin. I also remembered hearing also that Mihawk from one piece saying something about getting support from everyone like some kind of skill.
For me Kingdom manga is best I regularly read the latest chapters of Kingdom, Vinland Saga, Vagabond and Berserk. People think the other three is best because some big shot manga and anime related youtuber praises these three. But kingdom manga made me understand how a nation work, grow and it gives a great understanding of politics too. Some great characters like Riboku, Kanki, Ei Sei, Shouhaikun and many others. It helps you change your perspective of the real world too
"kingdom manga made me understand how a nation work, grow and it gives a great understanding of politics too" Sorry but no. Kingdom gives me "baby's first political drama" vibes. While it is engaging and very enjoyable, to smeone with an academic background in anthropology, politology, international relations and history, it is an oversimplified fourteen-year-old's view of how the birth of nations and big politics work.
@@athee420 that's his point, the manga made it simple for most of the people who are not really familiar with these topics. i get ur point too though, there are a lot of moving parts when it comes to politics especially when it is about building a nation.
@@ayayayaxd2639 I agree it's an engaging entry point but that's just the thing. Kingdom didn't make politics simple _to understand,_ it _oversimplified_ it. It presents politics as though it was simple to begin with (it is not) instead of presenting politics, complex as it is, in a simple and understandable way (which is, admittedly, a very tall task).
Shin is my favorite character next to Ouki. I love his personality. He's strong-willed, compassionate and a good leader. No doubt he earned the respect of many people, even the generals and King Eisei although he's just a slave before. Can't wait to watch Kingdom 4.
I've been following this manga for so damn long... literally refresh the page everyday just to be sure a new banger didn't pop, specially with the arc centering around one of the great generals atm getting wrecked. I;m up to date but crave moooore!
wait shin commanding 30k troops? im still at chapter 650! wait i will leave this comment for now to remind me to return here once i caught up with the manga
You forgot one thing. Unlike most protagonists that are idiots, Xin embraces it almost like Issei from Highschool DXD. His men make funny jokes about how stupid Xin is and how much of a hot head he can be. Xin embraced it full hearted. He’s such an idiot that he’ll climb the impossible wall just to prove people wrong. He makes the seemingly remote impossible seem possible with iron clad determination. He’ll become a wise general due to experience hence his advice is so profound because an idiot of decades of experience doing the same thing over and over again came to that conclusion.
Historically the real general said he could take a fortress with 200,000 soldiers later he loses. Later the king had to surrender his personal troops to raise the proper number of soldiers another general had stated he needed, 600,000 and returned victorious
To be fair, he wouldve faired much better if they werent betrayed by the main stategist of the Qin army and ambushed by his army and the chu army at once. People do make mistakes but we gotta put those mistakes in context. Shin did not want to lose more soldiers than necessary. After his victory in han, he realized that less is sometimes more and he didnt want to completely subjugate chu with a massive army because it would be difficult to get the citizens on your side in that way. It was a blunder but most generals have atleast one or two of those.
By all means Houken is probably the strongest in the verse, Riboku said he did obtain the peak of humanity already, but he lacks the "weight of a general" because he's alone, unlike Shin who has purpose and fights for his men and for his King.
To me the Zui arc really stood out - Usually in Chinese history or literature, a lot of the battles are won through elegant strategies and trickery. But for Zui, it was a straight up meat grinder that they had to just… deal with. And somehow they pulled it off: the emotional payoff at the end was something else entirely.
"Asta wants attention... I guess" LOL!!! I'm watching Black Clover now and had to laugh at this comment, bc he loves telling everybody in every scene, in every episode, that one sentence lol.
Surprised that very low views. As this video is greatly structured and interesting. Keep posting, once this anime is viral. Your video will be too. I actually never liked anime. But the movie in Netflix got me want to know more, and the anime animation is so nice i like it even more than the movie now. Watch it all within 1 week. Haha. Very sleepy all the time. Interested in your view on the rivalry between the 3. To be greatest general. Cant wait for season 5!
My only issue with Shin is how he's not growing as a tactician. Currently he's on the path to becoming another Moubu, all brawn no brain. That's not the way to greatest General under the Heavena.
I thought it has been established ever since the Coalition War that Shin is an instinctual general, not a strategical general along the lines of Riboku, Ousen, etc. When it comes to Shin's making moves on the battlefield without the help of Ten, he tries finding where the flames on the battlefield are burning the brightest like Duke Hyou in where he can turn the tides of the battle. HECK, there was his entire battle of strategy with Gaku'ei in where Ten could not find a way to counter him so Shin had to step in as a strategist by using his instincts, leading to Gaku'ei's defeat.
Xin becomes a wise general not a smart general. He’ll have so much battle experience that he knows that if x then y likely. He’s more a reactive than a proactive.
this a manga doomed because of poor 3d animation, everyone I spoke too, don't want to read, don't want to watch the first 2 seasons, don't want to start at season 3 whoever was head of marketing did a poor job
shin is just like naruto, yuji and pretty much other characters with good moral they aint even the best characters on their show. although kingdom is goated
That's only season 1 after 2 it has gone so better, sucks to be you, i would take storytelling over animation anyday, i mean I been watching anime since 2003 so,
@@anshuuu9708 The average anime in 2003 still looked better than the lower end of contemporary anime does. It was all hand-drawn so, unless the schedule and budget were both so bad to affect it, even the choppier anime still had good art. Which style of drawing you like is just preference. Nowadays, when bad, poorly composited CGI hits the screen, it looks like dog puke. I can understand not being able to push through it. In fact, this is precisely the reason why I skipped the first seasons of anime and caught up with the manga before ever taking another look at the show, which by then was at its third season and being animated by a different studio.
Shin's explanation of the will of fire is one my favorite moments in kingdom
It was so accurate it surprised me

I love the manga and anime so much this is literally my favorite of all time
An epic video essay on the goat Shin. Would love to see a vid on Sei at some point.

Great video! Love how consistent you've been on repping Kingdom!
For the love of god please Hara. Please release in English 😢

Great video, keep going
Kingdom is good, good, good!.
I'm glad I found this channel with Kingdom media, keep it up bro♥!.
wait shin commanding 30k troops? im still at chapter 650! wait i will leave this comment for now to remind me to return here once i caught up with the manga
Even though he may not be the best written protagonist, hell he isn't the best character in Kingdom. But Shin is my all time fave characters in Manga.
A new Kanki video would be great so much happened!❤️
RIP to the real Hokage, lord, sage, pervert, the one and only Jiraiya.
Great vid 🔥
I pray he continues this epic anime

Even though , I follow the anime, I noticed his humanity from season 1.
100%! Agreee ❤❤
Never before has 2x speed betrayed me than the last minute of this vid 😭😭😭
I’m so lucky to have started with the manga first…… as opposed to the anime tbh, Kingdom and Toriko are the only two manga that I read repeatedly.
Long live Great General under the Heavens! General Rishin!
By all means Houken is probably the strongest in the verse, Riboku said he did obtain the peak of humanity already, but he lacks the "weight of a general" because he's alone, unlike Shin who has purpose and fights for his men and for his King.

First manga i ever had to read only because it the anime was soo good
19:00 Why not Luffy? He has a very simple straight forward identity as well.
"Asta wants attention... I guess" LOL!!! I'm watching Black Clover now and had to laugh at this comment, bc he loves telling everybody in every scene, in every episode, that one sentence lol.
After Naruto, Shin is now my favorite Protagonist in all of anime.
Yoo what if sei is hyou all this time and because sei knew he was a gonnor he persuaded hyou to become the king of qin
Kingdom, ruroni kenshin, attack titan anime with good story
you are awesome dude
Bro did you just shittalk the ponytail
Exactly!! And I definitely don't want to even imagine what he thinks about Josuke's hair because, MAN it was nice knowing ya!!

Not exactly. The real Shin was no slave.
W vid w ri shin 🐐

Not enough spoiler alert 🥲

Shin might not be the strongest general but he truly has the greatest power of them all: the plot armor.
Your mother is
Why did u copy lines from the why guts stands out video by soul

He is great but you sound so biased he is not one of the greatest mc clearly
i think shin is the most generic protagonist out there
In which way blood?
Couldn't even get to the second episode, animation sucks. Can see why no one cares about it lol.
