      He actually didn’t. I love Johnny Depp but that role as Whitey was nothing like Whitey. He didn’t sound anything like him and Whitey hardly ever cursed. And he did not talk to his crew like the way he did in the movie. The Irish crews were not like the mafia where you had to respect the boss no matter what. It was built on mutual respect among one another. Kevin weeks talked all about it. Johnny looked like him but acted nothing like him. In fairness to Johnny though he had no interviews or audio recordings to go off of so he had to kind of wing it.

    Teddy, the very best to you from us here in LVNV.
    I met Dana White Sr, one day as I worked in the Holiday Casino for Bill Morris
    He was looking for a job, made the introduction, he was on with us.
    We became good friends enjoying the good times Vegas offered, we traveled lake mead boating, as young Dana would run with us at times, always a fun kid to be around, Bishop Gorman was his grounds with the folks who helped his advancement.
    I admire his growth and tenancity for the sport he loved, May Dana Sr be always remembered and never forgotten, as I am sure you think about those friends lost along the way.

    Great comment by Teddy, saying to Dana that leaving Boston when he did was actually a blessing. And that it was meant to be. Fate.
    It shows that even in the worst of situations, positive can happen.
    Dana went on to achieve what he set out to do.
    And imo this is a perfect example of Teddy doing what he's great at. He listens, he takes the positives from the conversation, and only focuses on that. And he then finally makes you aware of something that you probably haven't realised.

      @Emilio Estevezovic then keep your job and recruit fighters to house building. You think the company you work for doesn't make more than you? Does the new guy you're training deserve the same thing you make? It's called business and that's how every one of them that survive operate. The NFL keeps over 6 billion a year for itself. That's much more than the total amount the UFC keeps. Percentages sound entirely different when viewed as whole numbers.

    • @boduke9428
      @boduke9428 2 роки тому

      @Emilio Estevezovic ok. So your guys make a minimum of 10k a month then? That means the newest and lowest paid. 50% is the number thrown around most at the UFC since that is what the NBA and NFL do. Fighters have the same choice we do bro. If they don't like the pay they can find new careers. Nobody forces them to get punched in the face for a living. If that's their only skill set then that's a parenting problem and unfortunately stupid people will keep breeding regardless so UA-cam comments section can't help there either. Seriously though, how would you feel about a fashion designer ringing you up and letting you know your employees are underpaid and your scum for taking advantage of them? That's what everyone complaining about fighter pay to Dana is. We have no idea what gross revenue or expenditures are much less expectations from share holders now. From what I've heard from Chael, DC, and Michael Bisping among many others is Dana takes care of them on and off the books. You win and become a star then you become rich. Conor was the highest paid athlete one year. That doesn't happen without Dana and the UFC.

    The stuff that went on in SNE (Southern New England) in those years was crazy. Just down the road from Boston, you had Federal Hill in Providence which many say was the mafia epee-center for the entire U.S. But I do think if Dana ignored them they would have left him alone, those folks know it's not worth shaking down honest civilians, even if they have some juice with the local cops. You have to ask yourself, how in the first place did they have Dana's home number to threaten him? There more to this story we're not hearing.
