Michael - Great video. One of my forebears (my grandfather’s generation) was a Jewish mobster, who started out in Boston, went to Havana, and then returned when Castro took power. Our family hails from South Boston (only a handful of Jews in Southie) and I knew a few members of the Winter Hill gang. Years later, I got to know a woman, who grew up on the same street as one of the Patriaca family and she said that when she went to concerts with one of the family’s daughters (her classmate), they were always chaperoned by two YUGE “enforcers.” Sadly, I will miss your upcoming show in Providence, but I hope to see you live, while you are on tour. I have some great stories that have been passed down from my dad. Of course, I don’t know how much is true and how much is embellishment, but it gives a view to a world that no longer exists.

Most random story ever. But while in college and working as a produce manager in Coventry, RI a decade+ ago, I’d spend time talking and helping out this older senior woman who was just super friendly and a genuinely caring person. After months of talking to her and such, she brought me aside quietly and told me some stories about her and Ray P. I can’t remember exactly who she was but she was his granddaughter I believe. The stories she told me were so interesting to here and she always, alwaysss stressed to me about how family (not just blood) always takes care of family. Stories about how the basements were linked underground between houses and how they’d move between them. How Ray would let her sit on his lap while playing cards in the basement and she was treated well by everyone. Anyway. A lot of people and documentaries forget how big that family was in RI.

I'm from Providence Rhode Island, I was 1 of the 2 altar boys who served Raymond sr funeral at St Anthony's Church in North Providence, Raymond Sr church. I also knew a few of the older guys like Frank Cadillac, Bobo , Harold and Jerry , Freddie Bishop. When these guys controlled the city thing were safer then now. The alphabet boys and government might have hated the Mafia and there was plenty of death with in the organization but one thing I can say is that they kept our neighborhoods in much better condition and safer then now
Born and raised in Rhode Island. As a kid, I remember driving by the Coin O Matic in Providence and seeing Raymond and the boys sitting out front enjoying a cigar. When Raymond ruled the streets were safe and Federal Hill was a beautiful Italian neighborhood. There are still a lot of great restaurants and shops there but it's just not the same. Raymond was old school and a true Mafia Boss. Very giving to the community yet tough as nails when it came to business.
I met Gennaro Anguilo a bunch of times. I used to work for a caterer when I was in high school who was a friend of Mr. Anguilo. This caterers shop was right across the street from the Bakery. Prince St. We used to go over there all the time with food for Mr. Anguilo and his associates. So much hilarious stuff happened I could write a book or a movie script. I mean working and living on the weekends with a bunch of mafia guys was absolutely Hilarious. Those guys were Awesome!

It's always nice to hear other's perspective besides just what I've been told by family members. Hi Michael thank you as usual for your input on what's going on in our country (USA). I started reading "Mafia Democracy" and it's an eye opener to say the least. I enjoy your platform extremely. I've said this before, born and raised in Brooklyn, NY and growing up in the 60's, 70's & 80's does not compare to the tumultous craziness we have today. Take care and God Bless, Ciao!

You shouldn't have to explain yourself to anyone Michael most of us know that you are genuine you are always going to get a few people who will try to pull you down but that is just because of them being jealous due to how successful you and Sammy have now become on social media platforms the last few years. Personally love both of your content and some of the things you have said before have really helped me in life as I had a rough upbringing and got into a criminal lifestyle when I was younger and at one point came close to taking my own life due to addiction and depression but got through it. You dont realise how much of a positive impact you have had on my life and probably alot of others these last few years and I will be forever grateful for that so thanks and god bless you and your family. In Montreal we had the Rizzuto family...quite powerful and respected...but things worsened around 2013-2014 for them. Now it is said (according to police officers expert on organized crime) that its an alliance between leading figures from Hell's Angels, many mafia cells/families and heads of street gangs who runs the "show" in Montreal. Outside Montreal(Quebec) HA are kings and not really challenged.
It's the same in all Canadian cities, wars aren't as common as the US as weapons are harder to obtain. LEO's aren't as afraid of upholding justice. All organized criminals work together in the end if they can make money. However, in today's society. Engaging in criminal rackets is not as lucrative as before. It's wiser to engage in legal ventures. You will always have a guilty conscience for being a force that is destructive towards society. The consequence is developing mental disorders that make you unstable and you cannot fit into society. Sure there's probably fast money to make on vices of the public. But in the end, you will never consider yourself the same status as someone who generated the same amount from a legal career. The happiness you get from yours will never match theirs. They have nothing to worry about and can feel good about their success without delusion. Besides, if you compare Canada to another country where there are more successful criminals, you will recognize you are part of the problem who will ruin the country. Mexico is a example of this, you wouldn't want to live there would you?

Hello Mr. Franzese enjoy your channel very much. I am familiar with your background in film import and distribution and I'm a lifelong fan and supporter of the great Italian horror films you released in the U.S.A.in the 1980s. I remember vividly the experience of anticipating and viewing films like Gates Of Hell aka City Of The Living Dead. It was a formative time in my life and your releases were a big part of that important period. Your releases remain treasured to me unto this day you better believe I own coptes of them in one format or another. Thank you for the attention today Mr.Franzese God Bless.

Hi! How are you? I love your historical videos🎥, and look forward to learning neat facts. I hope that you will study Montreal; I heard that it has an organised crime issue. Thanks😊
Born and raised in Rhode Island, close to Providence, and there’s nobody bigger than Raymond Patriarca he’s been gone for years and he is still the man
It's so weird seeing this as a new video. I was just watching some mob videos about Providence and Boston this morning wondering if you have ever spoken about them.
Michael, my grandpa made his own beer and wine during the Depression. He did it for his own use and didn't sell it. When I was a kid I had to go into the cellar for something and saw the barrels. I asked him about it and he told me.
I am studying in the first year of an international university as a foreign student. In the dorm, senior students initiate freshmen into students every year and beat them until the shoulders and hips of the undergraduates become partially or completely blue/purple from injuries. Also, senior students demand money from freshmen. Each freshman is attacked by several seniors. Junior students turn into seniors and begin to mock freshmen. Most often, bullying occurs at night after lights out, after 11 o'clock in the evening. Also, foreign students are prohibited from contacting local girls, but local girls try to start a conversation and try to shake a hand during the greeting. Anyone who is seen in contact with a local girl will also be beaten up by local senior students. Senior students frighten freshmen and sophomores, so freshmen are silent and do not tell anyone about what is happening. Outside of the dorm, everyone behaves as if nothing is happening. In the USA, these events are associated with the words "fraternity" and "hazing". Thug romance is common among young people. Elder students say that all freshmen go through bullying and that no one will know anything, but they take everything on video. How should I think, talk and act to protect myself? How to stop everything that is happening and stop this tradition so that no one is seriously harmed in the future?
Another great video. Thank you for all the good content you put on youtube is always the first thing I watch whenever I see new stuff has been posted and am looking into hopefully coming to Cuba and thanks for posting the link for me on your last video. Hope I am able to come along on the trip god willing 🙏
Love your videos and watched table in the back part 1 and part 2 great shows and refreshing the conversations full of common sense thank you god bless you and your family and god bless humanity world wide 🙏
When you started with 2 families I didn't know you were talking pre 50s but legend around here was Raymond got a part of Connecticut all the way to Maine from Carlo and that's who his relationship was with out your way.
The Boston faction was formed in 1916 the providence faction in 1917 they merged in 32 and 54 the two top man retired the same day And Raymond became boss from 1954 till his debts in 1984
They said you had to be careful back then when you entered Federal Hill. That was Raymond Patricia's territory. If you cross him there was hell to pay. Only good thing is Federal Hill would be safe if your under his protection.
Mike, while in Providence you should mention Nicky Bianco from Providence , and he was in NYC with your family for a time, I know he was near Joe Columbo when he was shot. I lived in this little town in Connecticut, 15 min north of Hartford. My father was building houses and two guys moved to town, 1961 and became painters for him, also like uncles to me. Both grew up on Federal Hill with Bianco, I was young, but on Bianco’s way getting out of Providence on his way to New York he stayed in Vernon CT with one of the guys for two weeks, 1965 I think. There was only one bar, a few restaurants, one Italian restaurant that opened in 1964 that he spent a lot of time. Nobody knew who he was except my father, Bianco’s buddies and the restaurant owner. Years go by 1979 and I’m on Federal Hill with my girlfriend’s best friend going to PC. Her boyfriend had us go to Vincent’s restaurant on the Hill, we had some wine, some drinks and the guy that lived says, hey ever hear of Nick Bianco, I say sure, my uncles grew up with him. He says, he’s in that backroom having dinner, so I get up and go I have to meet him he knows these two guys I know, the dude said that’s a bad idea, but I go walking over there. I see Bianco sitting in the middle of the big booth facing me, I walk by a doorway and this big guy hits me square in the chest, I go to one knee, and he picks me up by my collar and says just breath, I say I know Nicks best friends Ralph and Sal from Federal Hill, this big guy goes he don’t know them. I’m 21 so I’m stupid going know if i ask him, but the guy goes kid go back to your fucking table now. Anyway that was the embarrassing😂 walk of shame to the table, people looking at me, my girlfriend in shock. But they did send another bottle of wine to the table, that I didn’t need…long ride back to Connecticut
My late brother’s son is half Italian, and his family is from Providence, my handsome little nephew. Anyhow,‘this would be good to see so maybe one day I can tell him about his history. Luckily his mother is protective and has shielded him from embracing that life. Her family, even her dad were mafia in Providence.

Michael Love listening to you and mob history. You are an honest American treasure. Dont let peoples comments upset you. Its ignorance to accuse you and Sammy of doing it for the money. I Loved hearing you both talk together. God Bless
Hi! How are you? I love your historical videos🎥, and look forward to learning neat facts. I hope that you will study Montreal; I heard that it has an organised crime issue. Thanks😊
Beautiful beautiful words spoken at the end 🙏🏼
Always a great message! Thank you
Born and raised in Rhode Island, close to Providence, and there’s nobody bigger than Raymond Patriarca he’s been gone for years and he is still the man
Great video Michael
Thank you Michael , I am from from Massachusetts and I really appreciate this video.
Unfortunately, public figures are targets for internet trolls. Your videos are always great. ☝️😏👍 Have a nice day.
It's so weird seeing this as a new video. I was just watching some mob videos about Providence and Boston this morning wondering if you have ever spoken about them.
Good video and I like the 2 part video with you and Sammy
God bless you Michael and your family ❤❤❤❤❤❤
Yo Mike, congratulations on your Jets beating my Philly Eagles this last week. And as always great content as usual. God bless you and your family.👍👍👍
Michael, my grandpa made his own beer and wine during the Depression. He did it for his own use and didn't sell it. When I was a kid I had to go into the cellar for something and saw the barrels. I asked him about it and he told me.
I am studying in the first year of an international university as a foreign student. In the dorm, senior students initiate freshmen into students every year and beat them until the shoulders and hips of the undergraduates become partially or
completely blue/purple from injuries. Also, senior students demand money from freshmen. Each freshman is attacked by several seniors. Junior students turn into seniors and
begin to mock freshmen. Senior students frighten freshmen and sophomores, so freshmen are silent and do not
tell anyone about what is happening.
The Boston/Providence LCN had many Italians mixed with Portuguese.

When you started with 2 families I didn't know you were talking pre 50s but legend around here was Raymond got a part of Connecticut all the way to Maine from Carlo and that's who his relationship was with out your way.
The Boston faction was formed in 1916 the providence faction in 1917 they merged in 32 and 54 the two top man retired the same day And Raymond became boss from 1954 till his debts in 1984
Amazing show really felt those words. Respect
Hey Mike. Great content as always. I believe that was a picture of Frankie Angiulo, not Jerry.
When Michael says dispose of them people get nervous 😅😂
Great, as always !! I would love to hear anything about Howard Hughes and mafia business together. If there was any ??
Great content as always
Excellent talk, fair, faith-based, and uplifting. 👍🏼🍷
I'm in Rhode Island! I hope to make it to the show!
They said you had to be careful back then when you entered Federal Hill. That was Raymond Patricia's territory. If you cross him there was hell to pay. Only good thing is Federal Hill would be safe if your under his protection.
From Massachusetts born and raised ❤
This was a good episode.
Tried texting, nobody responded, I mentioned Foxwoods for a sit down?
I like the way this guy be spittin
God bless you, brother. The relationship in the mob is like the relationship in the military. Very similar
2:54 "We should DISPOSE of them!" I'll ready the cement shoes, boss!
I think you should have a chat with John pennisi micheal. He's well spoken like yourself. Keep up the good work. Regards from England 🇬🇧
Hope wine 🍷 does well Mike
Michael your videos aren’t showing up in the algorithm anymore, ever since you’ve hit 1M subs. You need to get that checked.
Right on Michael!
