So why did he go after him?
Connor did change Dana whites life, and he did impact the industry like no other, he came in with lots of confidence and drive. you can’t take that away from him. and in the process made tons of many. He cHanged the expectation of the pay plan by raising the bar and he gave an example how to self promote.
Conor is the face of the fight game. Love him or hate him, there is no show like a McGregor show!

@@nielsgroothedde8038 when is the last time he’s won a fight? You consider him even in the top ten pound for pound let alone in his weight division? His antics are getting old and childish. He used to handle defeats with class and now he is just despicable. There used to be an excitement and mystique surrounding him and now it’s gone. Jake Paul generates a lot of talk and views (minus his last showing) while beating on nobody’s. You consider him the face of boxing game by that logic?
@@fkillah he does act like a petulant child at times and some of his behaviour is seriously reprehensible but I love how people have written him off because he has lost one fight to Khabib, who is arguably the best lightweight ever and also to a number one contender in Poirier, twice. These fights were all after some serious time off and I can only imagine the huge amounts of distractions from his many business endeavors that he has to deal with too. He also still pulls in the most viewers and ppv buys and has brought many new fans to the sport so deserves some respect.
I will add that I'm not a fanboy by any means and often find him infuriating but I just find it annoying when people let their emotions cloud their judgement, he is still a contender in the top 10, possibly even top 5, providing his leg recovers of course.
That was my favorite moment of that tour too! Ironically, that also made the weasel more money.

Dana hasn't gotten into boxing (despite all his Zuffa Boxing bull) because he can't get away with paying his fighters 16% of the take. Boxing has the Ali Act, which he'd hate to be applied to the UFC and is why he pays Washington lobbyists to stop it from happening.

The moment a fighter starts getting picky with fights, Dana loses interest in that type of fighter in a hurry.
@@jaygerlach6884 No it’s cuz McGregor brings in lots of mula. Many fighters have that attitude and it’s not rewarded. And McGregor stopped having that attitude once he became a star. After boxing Mayweather he would tease fights all day long (on his favorite medium, Twitter) but nothing came of it.
Dana can't manage boxing the same way because boxers are protected by the Ali act, which would hurt the ufc's product, but the fighters desperately need.

Winning fights is not important to a fan. It is to a neutral. To a fan all that matters is that their fighter is fighting. Win, lose, or draw doesn't matter.
