So I am 66and had open reduction surgery of ankle ( 2 of them in February) I shattered my ankle and double open fracture of tibia and fibula . I have bone graft on ankle. I am thinking 6 months from surgery for recovery but hoping after PT to be able to walk normally again. It is the most difficult thing I’ve ever been through in my life ! I see doc. In a week or so and will have lots of questions, Currently in heavy boot that I am not allowed to bear weight in. Very frustrating trying to lift it. Cast was lighter.
