I love mini mo it's much more convenient and I feel like the 30 foot one was just too much for what you wanted. I'm excited to see how it looks when it's all fixed up inside!!
@@MsCdngrrl ohhh my bad my room is Insainly small so I couldn't fathom 19 feet being small idk. I fixed my original comment thank you so much for correcting me 😁
I’m living for this content but also just SHOCKED that it’s been 2.5 years since you bought your air stream?? The pandemic was wild… I feel like those years didn’t exist 😂
My friends have the same one you just bought and they love it. When not camping, they park it next to their house and use it as a second office which really came in handy during covid lockdowns. It's so cute!
Before the hate comments, I would like to remind you that a Chanel bag costs almost 10k, so is an Hermes, but we don’t care when they do that do we - so let Monica live her life 😎
You crack me up Monica, but I’m excited to see how Mini Mo turns out, and it does seem to be the easier option in terms of traveling with it etc. Do you think you will regret losing the extra space that Mighty Mo had? I look forward to your next video!
The towing section of this video was super helpful, I drive a small Cadillac SUV and had been wondering if I really can/should tow up to the max weight.
Honestly I remember watching an old vlog of yours where you guys were renovating MightyMo and you looked a little defeated and I remember thinking, if only it was a little smaller - it would be more practical and would be easy to finish! And look at you now! I think you were always supposed to come down this journey. The smaller airstream just makes so much more sense for your lifestyle - most likely used for you and Jason to go camping.. not a family of 4-5 going across the country!
I agree. The larger one is more for when you want to live in a trailer, not just use it for fun. But I would have gone even smaller to the teardrop size.
@@Lili-xq9sn I think this is the perfect size for her - especially given that between her and her boyfriend, they have 2 medium to large sized dogs that would most likely be accompanying them on trips, so the extra space would be nice!
I think that, with the other properties your family has/ is developing, a smaller airstream makes so much sense. You can pick up and go to even more places due to its size. Plus, you still get to customize it with your fun, classic style. Minnie Mo for the win 🏅!
I feel silly because this video made me a bit emotional! Your Dad seemed to take it like a champ so kudos to him and thank you, because you reminded me of my own Dad and my relationship with him before he passed. Dads are always down for the ebbs and flows with projects like this!
I think you did very well. I was too stubborn with some of my choices and that kinda held me back. For you to be as young as you are and to already have that ability is admirable. I can’t wait t follow along on this new journey! Love from Texas.
I think you made the right decision- so much more practical and if you think you'll use something more because its more compact and approachable to tow that's the right call for sure. Can't wait to watch the conversion!!
I think you made a good decision! I want a camper too but not having the proper tow vehicle has held me back. Having a trailer is a commitment. 😅 So excited! Can’t wait to see what’s next!
So excited for you! I started watching you during your restoration of Mighty Mo while I was working on my Lil Nug. Having something smaller was a great decision. It will open many more opportunities for great campsites in comparison to long trailers with long tow vehicles. A larger trailer would be amazing for a vacation home on land or ADU. That's my dream. I've been camping all over Oregon and Washington since my rig has been complet and it has changed me! Once Mini is complete, you will have no excuse to leave town to relax in the forest or camp in a vineyard. I recommend getting a Harvest Hosts membership because you get to camp at farms and vineyards. I've always wanted to have an Airstream and stayed at an Airstream Hotel in Pacific City to see if it felt different then my current camper. Because I would also need a new tow vehicle. Can't wait to see the results and run into you while out adventuring one day!
I love mini mo! I think it's just going to be so much easier to deal with, it's already almost done, good call and excited to see all your camping trips in the future!
Honestly, seems like a great move. You will probably feel more confident taking it out yourself. Better to just let it go than try to force something to happen with Mighty mo that wasn't meant to be.
It definitely makes more sense! Also, airstreams always sell very fast and you have lots of contacts so I’m thinking it probably already sold by the time we see this video 😊 10 extra ft is HUgE. I pull horse trailers so I get it. Congratulations I’m excited to see the changes. Can you expand the bathroom since your taking out the desk area? Maybe move the closet and push the wall out more? Just a thought.
Much more practical considering you're not a super intense camper who wants to stay in the woods for weeks on end. The 19' is a great weekend camper and will likely be used more. Good luck!
Ngl monica, when I first saw the title the clown music was playing in my head but by the end of the video, I completely saw your vision. At the end of the day it’s your decision and whatever makes you happiest should be the priority. Sad to see Mighty Mo go but glad Mini Mo is here!!
I wish Monica had asked many people that live in a trailer what the best layout would be. Monica never lived in a trailer so i feel she would not know the best layout. I feel she is doing the airstream trailer thing just for youtube content
I think mini mo is a great idea. I can understand feeling overwhelmed by the size of MightyMo as it’s such a big space and so much to tow as well. Mini mo is a great size.
Big congrats! Take it out for a night before the teardown. Know exactly how daunting renovating the bigger Airstream feels. We bought ours about the same time as you. Got just as much done too as well. Maybe less. Good luck!
Oo - wish you'd kept both! I can understand it being way more practical but I love the size of the orginal Mo and the idea of making it into a airbnb! Such good prices - you did great!
To be totally honest, when you bought Mighty Mo I was shocked that you went for such a large airstream! I think Mini Mo is going to be the perfect size for what you’re going to use it for.
Wow....good luck. With trailers, cars, and boats, most people are always trying to get larger. The discipline to get smaller may turn out to be a very wise move! Looking forward to the updates. DD
You absolutely made the right move with Mini Mo! So much more practical to tow and for what you'd use it for. Excited we still get Airstream content :)
One idea after you get your airstream fixed up is to rent it out. There are web sites which take care of things like collecting the money and handle the very important issue of providing insurance. I used outdoorsy on my small 21' Rialta motorhome which would normally just be sitting idle in my driveway to make an extra $5000, so it is a viable option. Maybe you or Shelby should do a video on that. You can rent out just about anything these days.
You know, Mini Mo seems like a better way to go!! And I'm someone who also likes to make a few impulsive buys as well haha so I understand! But overall this will be a fun project and a little less stressful as far as space goes! This will be a fun journey and also another Dad Church sighting is always fun too😁
I'm glad you made the switch for the smaller AirStream and ditched the larger one which was such a money pit. Mini Mo is far cuter and easier to fix up. Congrats to you and looking forward to some fun camping trips in the future.
Why does anyone care if she sells HER airstream? I think it’s great that she has the means to try stuff out! I’m excited about the Mini Stream :) Will you buy a new vehicle to pull it? Or just rent one when you go camping? I can’t wait to see it done! I’m so excited and happy for you. You’ve worked hard for your success, don’t worry about negative ppl Monica. Love every minute of every opportunity you get! I like how supportive your dad is.. he’s great!
Haha, what a good car salesman, I’d buy from him! I had my FC Bambi 19 for over four years and 70k miles, the Advantage of the size is you can park it anywhere you like :) Plus they pull like a dream!
Mighty Mo is really a "tiny house", more of a park it and leave it somewhere. Mini Mo is a tow and go trailer. I think you made the right decision. So exciting
Like your dad said, more practical. …and you can use a smaller tow vehicle. Even if you only clean out the mold, could be useful when working the Joshua Tree property.
I think Mighty Mo would have been awesome if you had land to put her on and make her a vacation rental, but I think Mini Mo suits your lifestyle way better. Can't wait to see what type of renovating happens with your new trailer.
wow im surprised you didn't continue the project on the large air stream . i guess to spend so much money on refurbishment is a big amount to outlay . and the chance to buy a small air stream is a better idea . lower costs and so much better to tow . as you have more options of a towing vehicle . hope you can sell the mighty mo quickly and recover some funds . to go camping in mighty mo would be difficult as far as towing and camping would be concerned .
TBH you probably won't even use the bathroom much, it's gross and a hassle to have to deal with waste and it's so much more convenient to just use public toilets and the facilities they have at camping sites are usually really good. I rented a camper in New Zealand and paid extra for a bathroom and didn't use the toilet once.
😂😂😂😂😂😂I like the way you take decisions and I love that your dad is always being by your site. You know what feets you better as long as you have a parking spot for both. Check out Mr Kate how they transformed their airstream years ago and it became a dream airstreem. I hope to take the best trips of yoir life and I hope your dad take a good use of it. He totaly deserves it. Keep going and never regret for the things you do. 👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏❤❤❤❤❤
