About Achmel, assuming that it's AI is similar to other Greater Mummies, he can only revive undead in his sight, so I guess you killed enough skeletons in areas he could not see since there was like only one skeleton around when he ran at you, think the AI notice if it has less than a certain number undead alive, and nothing to rez it tries to rush the player, with the devs programming it like that assuming the corpses might be near the player outside the Mummies range

There are a few ability's that disturb corpses. Barbarian has a search corps and Necro has both raise undead from corpses and corpse explosion blowing the bodies up. Any enemy that looks for and acts on a corpse would have to have a secondary mode for when no acceptable bodies are available.

I learned so much about Diablo in this video.. so in the spirit of knowledge, did you know that a cousin of the "harvey" potato vine is actually peanuts.. like peanuts grow on a bush.. but not on the bush, they are actually a structure in the root system of a small bush.. so when you pick peanuts you actually grab a small shrub at the base and pull out a huge root ball covered in peanuts... they only grow in sandy or loamy soil thats why you can pull the whole root system out of the ground... well now you know. It used to be that you would lure out each wave into the hallways since there is a trigger in the room (near the entrance) that spawns the wave. Interestingly, in the latest speedrunning strategy, it was discovered that there are actually two triggers! One triggers a cue to Baal that you have entered the room, the second triggers the actual spawn of the next wave. It turns out that if you interrupt the second trigger by turning around after triggering the first trigger, the game will register that you left the room while still registering that a wave has spawned (even though a wave hasn't actually spawned). So, I think you stumbled onto the old speedrunning strat BL!

If you plan on doing more D2 challenges in the future, buy up Antidotes for Andariel and Thawing Potions for Duriel. They will give you a ton of poison resist and cold resist respectively, and the more you drink the longer they last. I think it's like 30seconds per potion you drink.
Without having to watch the video, as a seasoned D2, D2:LOD, and D2R. The answer is 'yes'. Assuming you know what your doing, have time to grind out the proper gear with the right stats, and put quite literally days into it. Awesome video as always!
When I played the game a decade ago (when I was only in elementary school), I didn't read the skill descriptions and thought that the Druid vines are actually earthworms... Never even thought as the vine skills as damage dealers, so props to this run... and any Diablo 2 run in the future.

At about 4 minutes, I could not pay attention anymore. The ToeJam and Earl music brought so many Memories I had to find my Mega Drive and play THAT thing all over again.
The first time I played a Diablo game, I never saw any of the bosses. My computer froze on boss spawn, and since I had thorns damage, when the game resumed there was just a pile of loot. Finally glad I get to see what the bosses look like and what they do!

Lemon, I assume, judging from the corpses on the floor, Achmel started chasing you simply because skeletons he could revive despawned. Look at early part of the enounter - there's a bunch of minotaur and succubi corpses on the ground, but, around the time Achmel started to chase you, those corspses are all gone, same as skeletons that he perpetually revives. PS: 11:37 - you could buy a staff with teleportation charges - thus avoiding doing damage to anything and bypassing the door. As for corpses despawning theory - see difference between 12:30 and 12:54 .
one of my favorite trick in Diablo 2: Necromancer with Blood Golem and Iron Maiden. the Blood Golem recovers health when it does damage, and shares heath with you. Iron Maiden is a curse spell that reflects damage. (sort of like thorns, BUT you have to actively cast it on the enemy) the kicker is that the game counts reflected damage as damage done BY the Blood Golem! this trick makes almost every Melee-type enemy VERY easy to defeat! one exception is Duriel, because his attacks also do Ice damage, which apparently doesn't get reflected...
Tip: You can drink multiple stamina potions to stack their effects, as they temporarily give you infinite stamina. Drink 20 of those suckers before leaving town and you're a sprinting machine
Finally. Another Diabo 2 video. I thought that you already did this, until you said that you did a run with firebombs and thorns...wait. It's only 3 videos and I've seen them already?
Not sure if you know this, you probably do, but starting in act 3 you can buy a staff with teleport charges on it. It's expensive, but the barricade doors in act 5 are no problem at all with it.
Glad to know I'm not the only one who avoids their backlog by justifying playing old favorites just 'cause its comfy. Now...back to my grind in MHGU, lol.

It wasn't nearly stopped. There are multiple workarounds and easy solutions, like for example a telly staff.

I think it's just corpses despawning - floor looks a lot more "clean" around the time boss started chasing Lemon.

There's no such thing as holy damage in diablo 2. There are skills that only deal damage to undead though.
