New sub - and thank you! This is so embarrassing, but I couldn’t remember how to attach the shoe adapter to the receiver. Thank you, you showed it very clearly.
Since audio preamps on cameras aren’t that great increasing the audio level would introduce more noise no? Don’t you want to increase the gain on the mics instead?
Yes and if you max out the receiver gain setting and you signal is still too low in camera then you would need to increase camera preamp gain (or try and raise it in post)
what's the difference between the receiver volume and the camera volume? how do i set the receiver volume once i set the transmitter? i saw you set it +3 but i don't understand why. sorry for my english and thank you for this tutorial

Both mics are showing up fine on the receiver and recording fine etc on the screen but just not transferring over to the receiver? What am I doing wrong??? Or do I have a dodgy receiver??? Hi Aaron - the receiver doesn't record audio - you need to connect the receiver to a camera with the audio cable - the audio then gets recorded by the camera in the video file.
Does the receiver have to be plugged into a camera or recording device to record? Can you record just using the dji mic and receiver then later down load the recorded audio from the receiver to my computer or iPad for attaching it to video using iMovie?
Hi Ray - the receiver does not record into itself - but the transmitters do - the receiver needs to be plugged into a camera or something else to record

I have tested it on iPhone xr, one plus and canon mach 2 but there is no sound in video but the receiver is picking up sound as sound waves r reflecting. Wot might be the issue. Plz help
Hi Ratnesh, if the receiver is showing sound bars then it is probably the audio cable that goes from the receiver to the camera or the mic volume setting in the camera set to zero. You should also check the receiver gain setting on the receiver to make sure it is not set very low. If you have tried direct connect to an iPhone using the lightening adapter and there is still no sound then you may have a faulty unit - try a different audio cable and check your camera settings and if it still does not work you should probably contact DJI support.

Thank you for the video, great review. I bought DJI as well, but I am not fully satisfied with the sound quality. Maybe this is my fault, but for me the background noise is too loud. I mean the whispering background noise, when your mic is too gain for example. I tried to modify the volume in the camera, on the receiver and on transmitters. I heared the difference, but the result wasn't good anyway, and I had to correct it in the post. If I tested it without the receiver, like a backup, it was better but still there. Do you have any idea what is the problem?
Hi - the microphones in the transmitter are omni-directional which means the pick up sound coming from all around not just where your mouth is. If you want to isolate you talking more you could try using a lav mic connected to the transmitter or use something different like a shotgun mic for a bit better isolation - for example: ua-cam.com/video/FLZT3gmEo8Y/v-deo.html

@@JasonRobertsVideo they're great! Perfect for my collaborations with singers!
Thanks Jason! Much appreciate the setup tutorial!
You're' welcome :)
Great, thanks mate!
You're welcome William :)
Can you setup a DJI Mic to a PA or Club audio system.
In theory - yes - though you would have to make sure the you convert and signals to mic level signals that the transmitters expect or you could damage them
I had a GoPro and 3 of their crappy adapters and MANY microphones. Could not get noise out of all the variations. I really want to produce content. Dropped some serious money on a full DJI setup. Just waiting on the microphones to ship from DJI. I can't wait. I've done some time lapse videos and quick clips with the action 3 and love the camera. Can't wait to get the microphones so I can get to creating. Really impressed with DJIs offerings. Next I will get a DJI drone.
That's great to hear - hope you love the mics and they give you more creative freedom like they have for me :)
Great explanation
Thankyou :)
Hey Jason, I found and watched 5 other of your videos on the mic. So I messed around with the mic and found the answers to my questions. Thank you for the videos, these mics should workout fine for what I want to do with them. Thanks again, 👍🏻and subscribed.
So great to hear Ray - glad to help :)
Hi Jason, hope you are well. I got Sony ZV-E10 and DJI Microphone couple days ago. DJI works well on my Macbook, S10+ Samsung, DJI action 2 but not on my Sony ZV-E10. I tried following your settings but it still doesnt work. Do you know anyone who face similar issue? Or do you have any idea how to solve this? :( I had so much of hopes, I spent the whole day resarching and trying to figure this out...
Hi, not sure why it wouldn't - I've got a dedicated "how to set up with sony camera" vid coming soon which might help.
@@JasonRobertsVideo ok im super green in this. I check the transmitter recording, it does capture the audio. when i tried playback on sony, or transfer the video on macbook, it doesnt have the audio. Is this the case for you and everyone else? And you are supposed to mix the audio and the video together on editor? or we should be able to hear the audio on the video file?
@@JasonRobertsVideo looking forward to it
@@deemayannimaat … the transmitting wires you are using . One is for the receiver to phone and the other is from camera to receiver . If you missed them up it won’t have any audio . Kindly check those Trx things .
@@JoshConnectMedia Thank you so much :)
Best explaining out their!!!
Wow - thanks so much!! :)
Fantastic explanation thank you
Thanks - glad to help :)
Thanks, Jason.
You're welcome Valerij :)
Don’t buy one. Noisy budget crap.
I'm still evaluating mine, what noise have you experienced - self noise, RF interference, etc ?
If you have got noisy using with cameraI I Was experience it when I used it built in my camera. But I found a method before I rec my video go to sound setting and choose manuel and I put the level start from off to count opening 2 or 3 opening levels and check Please
Thanks!
You're welcome and thanks so much for the super thanks - that's super kind!! :)
Ordered and paid for mine on December 11th 2021 and still waiting... What difference would it make how good a product is if I never receive it!
There were delays with mine too.
Are you really still waiting? I ordered mine from Walmart on Saturday and its shipped today/ getting to my house on in 2 days
@@Desertluxegroup ended up piccking one up from B&H and cancelled order with locoal shop. Then the next day I get an email from local shop saying they actually shipped it out to me and can no longer cancel the order... Now I have two. lol! I guess the suddenly found one after I asked to cancel the order
trying to figure out if I can lock the button on the transmitters. I record local while using receiver with camera. I dont wanna accidentally touch the Record button and stops my local recording.
Check out this vid to lock the record and also auto start local recording: ua-cam.com/video/BzDeEX0WEvY/v-deo.html
@@JasonRobertsVideo Thanks for the reply! Yea, I totally forgot to check firmware. After the update its working great.
@@jensenjiang That great :)
The DJI Pocket 2, appallingly, requires remote activation from their servers in order to be used. Does this mic kit have any similar Orwellian weirdness?
Nope - just take it out of box and starting using it - no app or activation required
@@JasonRobertsVideo Thanks. They look like great mics and you showcased them well.
Thanks Arthur :)
Very good video. Gives everything I need - quick, short and sweet.
Thanks - glad is was helpful :)
Muchas gracias por este video! Muy puntual, descriptivo y útil.
Thanks :)
