I just bought these and installed them all by myself, a grandma. It was easy to do. I was having trouble understanding the settings. True that at night it is not as good as my Wynsview cameras. So I will have to put some motion lights out by my garden. But I paid way more then u did for it. But, I needed something wireless and quick to install as I have a problem neighbor and later I will install a entire surveillance system. ty
Question, 1. can I just use the battery? I only need it for my Amazon packages.
2. Does it charge you or are you using a free plan?
3. Do I need it plugged in to charge it like that wire behind it on yours
If you have any odd colors show up removing the batteries for 30 seconds is a one time fix. I'm pleased with my Blink gen one system, but agree you can get better night vision with others such as Euphy. I'm grandfathered into free cloud service so not worth making a change for now. I also use motion lighting at night so enjoy full color decent night vision. Good review 👍.

I have the XT2 which is great and no monthly charge. The new version requires a monthly charge for "storage" of pictures onto their cloud. There is a slot in the "sync module" but that is of no use if the camera is 1,500 miles away. I'll stay with the XT2. Same quality of video and are also made for "outdoor" use.
Appreciated the honest review. I was going to purchase this Blink system simply because of the wireless but I wasn't fully aware of the drawbacks. Now I'm sticking to the wired ezviz or reolink.

I believe if you want more than six cameras which I think is better with blink even with $10 monthly, for the cheaper price pays for yearly cost over 2 1/2 years, over more pricey units. The downside of nightvison is compensated by cheap motion floods. I wish old blogs could be taken down, like all the ones saying that you can still get free in 2021 , maybe all blogs should have a date when created!

I just installed a 4 camera outdoor system. I am really pleased with the video quality. I live on a corner lot and have excellent street lighting which may be helpful. I did connect all four cameras to external power via usb connection 5v1Amp and am very pleased that I do not need to worry about batteries again. I also have 2 indoor wireless cameras that I have left wireless and they work very well and the original batteries are still going strong. I have two video doorbells as well and am using a battery eliminator 2 x AA usb adapter which works excellently. All together 8 cameras, am very pleased with the system. I cannot agree with his complaints about video quality. I find it excellent.
Do you have to pay monthly fee to have the videos record?
@@MusicLuv80 I installed 1 more Outdoor Camera for a total of 5 outdoor and 3 indoor plus 2 video doorbells. All in all 10 devices. There is NO fee so far to have the videos record. I understand that the recordings are kept for 60 days on the servers. I have the Sync Module installed which downloads videos daily to a local computer usb attached to the sync module. I understand I have about 1 month free per camera. After my free period is over the cost will be 15.00 monthly here in Canada. I spoke to Blink and understand that I can have up to 60 cameras with 6 sync modules for that fee. 15.00 is very reasonable. A neighbour of mine is paying 90.00 monthly for 1 camera monitoring and recording.
@@timechild5129 Wow thank you so much for your detailed answer. 90 dollars a month is a lot compared to Blink. So it is good deal still. Does Blink only record when there is a movement? It is incredible how much can be recorded onto the USB. What memory do you use for your USB? If you use USB you don't really need to pay the monthly fee right? Just record onto USB? How many days of recording does USB record though? Thanks ~
With your camera system, are you able to confirm the following:
The Blink Sync module WILL NOT record 2 cameras simultaneously. If an event is happening at my front door AND at my back door AT THE SAME TIME, those 2 cameras WILL NOT record both events.
The Sync module will determine which event occurred first and then it will begin to record that one, while leaving other footage blank. If the first activity stops, it’s going to start picking up on the second one. There could be a possibility of something happening on my property at 2 or 3 locations, but only one of them will get recorded at that moment.
If this is the case then a solution is to increase the number Sync modules I use.

I bought the Blink camera in 2020. A good friend suggested I buy this camera because it showed clear videos. It was also advertised on Amazon that it DID NOT HAVE A SUBSCRIPTION PLAN. My cameras have been active for 2 years efficiently and effectively. Fast forward 2 years ''2022'' and I receive an email saying that I must now pay a subscription plan. I feel like I've been scammed. Isn't that selling under false pretense ? This is not acceptable. Blink has rendered my cameras useless. They do not work at all. How deceiving. I want to return them and get my money back. I still have the packaging and receipt. I've reached out to them several times and I get an automated email reply every single time. Do you have any suggestions ? Thank you kindly.

I LOVE my Blink outdoor camera's. They are fantastic outside, I bought them two years ago, set to record 10 second clips, which it does many times a day, and they are STILL using the same batteries, with great quality to boot!
Negative side: Doesn't work with all of my Google Home products... :(

That’s great you’re able to use the same batteries within 2 years. I’m taking it not much action to set of the security system, hence using less battery life.
I can't seem to get Blink to recognise my zones. I grey out areas but it is still sensing motion and recording. Already had a high usage alert. Any tips? Thanks 🙂
Night vision works fine with my system. The sound that goes out of the speaker is very low even when set to 8 (the highest setting).

I’m not too sure about having a certain speed modem will depend how quickly you’ll receive notifications. Since you’ll receive notifications even when your not home. Batteries do not last 2 years. Otherwise it’s a pretty good system.

I HAVE THE XT2 and it DOES NOT STAY CONNECTED to the module and the CAMERAS do NOT KEEP A CHARGE. Even when they say BATTERY SOLAR GOOD = IT DOES NOT WORK !!! BLINK was doing so well BUT THIS needs MAJOR UPGRADES. I think the CONNECTION between the SOLAR & BOX needs to be UPGraded. The quality of BATTERY THEY ARE using to charge the solar needs to be UPGRADED ALSO..

Hey , I want to send a North America blink outdoor wireless to india , can I watch the blink session from here ?
Blink is working fine. I don't care about blue screen, as long as I can see and talk to the criminal. Easy to set up and works great. I use it when I leave my home for long periods of time. One in backyard, one in garage, one inside facing front door. I had a worker water my plants, I went on a short vacation. As he passed through the garage to go water in the backyard I talked to him and scared him and he ran out of there fast. Later he told me he thought he was hearing voices. I use this in my van. And to look at what's going on from the top of my roof as a CTV monitor when I am in my home office. Blink Day use is great and clear color. I live in a safe community, not in the USA.

Yes, but nut you need couple of items, first would be google latest chromecast and google assist
I'd like to pull down all my 5-camera BLINK security system, load them in my box I kept and either return for complete refund (I highly doubt) or run over them with a BIG TRUCK. They were ok, but night vision sucked but since I refuse to buy their "storage plan" BLINK has systematically removed my access to all of the capabilities listed on my BOX!! One by one with the explanation "Because you did not purchase our Storage Plan." The only thing left is a live view from my cameras, but NO RECORDING. I've used a USB, as it states still in their information on the App and online on BLINK'S website but when I tried to download to my PC it was empty. So NOTHING, NADA, ZIP. Is this happening to others or have I been singled out for punishment?

I got the Blink system because I needed fast set up. Besides blind sided by the subscription, that I will not go that route, it won’t save to usb. Nighttime resolution sucks. The camera needs to be at face level and up close to be usable. My wired system that I added 2 months later is vastly superior in every way and no subscription needed with its huge Harddrive.

What if it's only $114 come with 2Blink kit with echo show 5. compare to other triple price. Its a fair price not a rip off

Picking this up because we've had some visitors at night, scouting probably. We have a dog but I also want to see if I can catch this human trash on camera. Therefore, the IR performance seems to be alright for the price.

blink cameras have now start monthy subscription to use there cameras which puts me off buying has there many other cameras with free icloud storage
they are not worth at all, there are better solution avaiable in very good price
The hub has a usb port for a removable drive up to 256gb. Once it fills up, it'll tell you it full, either delete it or transfer it to your computer for permanent storage. Cloud storage is not free, so you'll have a hard time finding someone giving it away.

Why is there a micro usb on the camera if you cant charge them. Also, can you review the vava security camera side by side.
You can buy a kit that allows you to plug it into the wall instead of using the batteries. The kit plugs into that port.

My blink system of 2 months has been replaced by a much better system even though it is wired. Blink was only for a quick fix. Paid blink subscription ended it’s use sooner. FO Bezo

Completely disagree I'm a DYI guy I am stalled POE cameras that cost $150 a piece about 5 years ago but they didn't have audio or speakers on them and they cost that much.
The quality is better BUT NOT BY MUCH much more difficult to set up
These cameras work perfectly You could see everything you need to see indoors and outdoors if they're set up correctly.
I don't even use my other cameras they're just for show..
And not to mention The expensive cameras I have I so much more difficult to set up for motion which is what I'm looking for.
If something happened I literally had to scroll through TONS OF LIVE FOOTAGE TO FIND OUT WHAT WAS GOING ON THE MOTION NEVER WORKED WELL ENOUGH.
THE MOTION ON THE BLANK CAMERAS WORK SO MUCH BETTER SO MUCH EASIER TO SET UP.
YOU DON'T NEED PERFECT CLARITY ON CAMERAS TO SEE WHAT'S GOING ON OR EVEN TO GET LICENSE PLATES. It's plenty clear enough to show defining faces and has caught many criminals and works pretty awesome.

Blink are excellent
My Blink outdoor is very noisy, makes what i call white noise, and there is no microphone control. The way it mounts is very poor. Too easy to be just pulled off. So mine is hidden in tree. For night vision it's street light. I wouldn't recommend it.

The video quality looks like it's straight out of the Blair witch project. Glad i saw this video first you just saved me 275 bucks. Good review though for those that are ok with this quality. Sorry my expectations are just a bit higher. Onto a more expensive camera for me.

Cameras are garbage. But it's nice they paid this guy to say they are not complete shit. Battery lasts 2 months tops, sync module constantly goes offline, cameras randomly don't work, works with Alexa when it feels like it. Don't buy. I have 1200 Mbps wifi, and I own 4 of these, if they weren't complete crap I wouldn't say they were. #SpacemanJeff
I will not buy these blink cameras again! They start charging you after a while. I do not want then to record it to their servers. I just want a camera to see when I want. It can be Wireless like my car camera. Which I do not have to pay monthly to use. It a Rip off! If it was not for the charging me a Month these cameras are great! Night or Day!
I didn't do a review of the blink system before I bought it. WHAT A PIECE OF GARBAGE! when I need the system to work, it doesn't catch people, cars or whet I need in a violent situation, but if I even sneeze it it goes off. I will be taking it back to Costco where I bought it and trust a game camera instead!
Edit: As stated before the cloud service stops working and asks for a subscription. This is very silly as being able to save videos locally is not a new feature to cameras on a network. Now the camera is useless without purchasing additional hardware such as the sync module. Very disappointed I chose to go with Blink and wish I had known how this was going to go down the road. Do not buy this camera unless you are willing to pay for a subscription or if you are buying the sync module too. I am not touching anything with the Blink name on it going

You can get the out door automatic lights, which allows you to plug in your blink camera for continuous all the time charging 😉

They work perfectly! With 3 of these cameras I can see every corner of the yard, and they were very easy to set up. The best part is I only get the footage I want to see, not hours of videos of the bird feeder swaying in the breeze.
