So true that no single system is best in all things. It really depends on each unique situation. I started with the Ring doorbell and always had issues with it so I didn't go into that ecosystem. I replaced it with the Eufy wired doorbell and was impressed enough that now I have 10 eufy units. Not perfect but plenty good enough for what I need. Thanks for all the info.
Yeah I agreed. I have the ring doorbell and love that as my favorite doorbell the pro two, but then for the spotlight cameras, I got Eufy the S330 and S340 and absolutely love those.
Is there a way to bring all the best devices from different manufacturers together under one home integration so you can pick and choose what you want?? Would that be Home assistant????
@@LifeHacksterHello, thanks for the video… I got a security camera and a doorbell installed through my Phone/Internet company but the problem I have is that my cellphone does not ring when someone rings the doorbell. The other problem I have is if I’m at work and the security camera catches someone sometimes I don’t get notified right away. The 3rd problem I have is I can’t go back and see any recordings of anything. To me that’s the whole point of having a security camera so if something happens you can go back and have video recorded evidence. Do the Eufy cameras allow you to go back anytime and grab any footage you want for video evidence of say a break in or property theft etc?
Wish you'd also add a step to your testing to determine which cameras work best with each home assistant. I run everything in my home through Google Home and would have liked to know which of your camera picks work best with that platform.
When I bought my house it came with a FEIT floodlight camera. It was great, but after turning the floodlight manually one night, it stopped responding in the app and no resetting will fix it. That being said I’ve seen they are decent when contacted for support, and I probably would go that route if I had bought it, but thought I would mention it for others
Thank you for the great video!! I am replacing an Arlo system with 6 cameras, doorbell and 2 base stations. Some of the cameras are battery powered and some are A/C powered. I am between Eufy and Reolink… Which one do you think is a better system? Thank you!!
Great stuff, Would you consider reviewing Lorex Dual Lens security camera? Its a newer 4K camera that came out late last year. It would be amazing for you to compare that one to the ones you think are best
If you have a floodlight setup in your garage area, you can start off with a floodlight cam like from Eufy and a doorbell cam. The best and reliable setup though would be a wired NVR system.
Been watching your reviews for a few years now and just realised .... ooops , i'm subbed now , sorry. Have you had time to check out the Aosu 3K UHD Security Floodlight Camera, I have just installed it after removing the Eufy E340 due to very bad and many wifi drop outs and connection refusals. The Aosu so far is amazing at almost half the price and image q is superb. However you are the turn to reviewer so hopefully you could do a full spec on it. Thanks for all you do.
My brother has a house he goes to one weekend a month. He would like to keep an eye on it through his phone. What system is the easiest to install and can be connected to your phone to view the video feed live?
Thank you for another great wrap-up review. My go-to setup is still Eufy. I've had the best luck with them and very minor issues. I saw that they recently released a siren and the price doesn't seem too bad. I want to see a review of it before I decide to add it my system, though. I mainly want to see just how loud it really is. The HB3 alarm combined with 5 outdoors cams with alarms isn't loud unless you're within 10ft of my house. My car alarm can easily drown out Eufy's alarms on full volume. Even one smoke detector alarm is louder than Eufy. So I'm hoping Eufy's siren decibels are close to what my smoke detectors are. Will you be doing a review of Eufy's siren anytime soon?
Thank. You thank you thank you. Been following you for a bit now and you are by far the best reviewer on here. You’ve helped me with the confidence to go forth and add cameras carefully to my home picking the best devices for me and my family. You’ve never steered me wrong. Thanks again.

Thank you LifeHackster. I just ordered the Eufy camera, what I plan to set up on my window. I have a Panasonic Homehawk window camera already, which worked for about a year, but recently, it stopped working. I was able to re-set and works again, except the notificiation. No matter what I do, it notifies me about a person only by a pop up, but NO SOUND. Do you know what to do to fix it? I even talked to Panasonic customer service, but they couldn't help. And yes, notification is set for sound, not for silent.
Make sure that you cover each camera with at least one other camera. If people can see that they need to stand in front of another camera to tamper with one it could keep them form messing with any of your cameras. I also like to video every car and person passing by, just in case.
I got the ring infrastructure, alarm, door locks, cams. I am a bit disappointed with ring. Seems like they stopped on their r&d. I’d like to see ring make a ptz cam similar to the Eufy s340. As they currently don’t. It means I have to now buy another piece of infrastructure to add to it. Ring could also integrate other manufacturers cams into their system.

The main downside to Ring is the recent removal of the share feature on the app. Ring doesn't want law enforcement to have access to video clips. So much for ring.
You say the first cam has “everything” but why would I even want two lenses? Would it not be more efficient to pack a larger, nicer sensor with a zoom option then an always zoomed telephoto lens?
As always great video. I’m still kicking myself in the butt for not purchasing the Eufy S340 from Amazon when they were down to one $139.99 cyber Monday. Looking forward to next years line up of videos. By the way. where can I purchase a cable to power the E340 floodlight cam if I don’t have a junction box? I haven't done an extensive search yet but watched a few of your vids and it appears that you have done a ton of research on cameras! Almost everything I find is talking about security camera's, recording and play back. I'm not sure that is a real need in my case. My desire is for a camera that I can mount out side our cabin in Wisconsin to allow me or my siblings to go to a webpage and look at the lake when we are not there. I have been to some sites that you can watch a live camera feed of what is happening there. Many News stations have something like what I want mounted on their roofs. What am I really looking for? I guess a secondary like would be to capture some animals if they walk by and record that, but that would be a secondary desire. Can you point me in the right direction? Thanks.
I just bought the Zumimall 5G wired Wi-Fi camera. I have it connected and it works good. I bought this to use as a webcam on our camper that has a different Wi-Fi network than our home network. Can i use this camera as a webcam on a different network?
I own a townhouse that is in a community that does not have a gate and also the front unit right on a main street. Which camera would you recommend since it's a high traffic area? The only camera we have is our Ring doorbell.
Thank you for your reviews. Very useful. Are you able to comment on their ability to pick up a car license plate clearly? I need a camera that will watch my car in a shared car park due to previous hit and run. Thanks 😊
Your reviews are awesome! Would you be able to tell me which of the cameras you've reviewed offer person announcements on Alexa? I only know for sure of Wyze and Tapo. Any others?
Question regarding the SD card. Are you able to access the recording from your phone? also delete it, or do you need to take it out to view the recording?
I’m so thankful you released this videos I was just recently been looking into security cameras and was trying to figure out the best outdoor system would be and I got a ring floodlight cam just because everyone had it and it was quick and easy to use I just don’t like the quality on it but now since you said eufy is the better overall brand I’ll be definitely be switching ✊🏽✊🏽

Mr. Hackster: Help.. I have wildlife around my home 24/7, but want an outdoor camera security system. Also, just as important, they will be mounted very high up on my home. Question: Which one would you suggest? (no having a subscription is somewhat important),. and how do I RESET the system when it is so high up ?? Lastly, you have a beautiful and well kept home.... love the flag!
FYI the S350’s night vision is very sensitive. I had two and had to return both of them as the night vision completely washed out- all black. In one room my light blue bed sheets were causing a glare and in the other room it was the beige walls. Otherwise they were great cameras
Maybe you can suggest the best 4 k camera to have feed it's live footage to a 55 inch 4k tv. I already have another system as my security set up, good enough to identify thieves, but not 4k. I am looking to add a digital window to a building that has no windows. So I am thinking of a 4 k camera that maybe has the ability to have a HDMI cable to link it to a tv?
Hi LifeHackster, I would like to congratulate you on the excellent quality of content you bring to the channel, for me the best in your field. After watching many videos I decided to exchange the old Xiaomi Cams for the Eufy S340 and the E220 respectively. Later I will buy the homebase 3 to have local storage. The problem I see with the security of these cameras is that if they reset from outside all the recordings are erased.😒 Best Regards from Portugal
Thank you i just bought the Eufy solarcam s340. will let you know how i get on. i hate complicated set ups and am not techy. if it's good, i will get 3 more cameras
hey gd day, enjoy your vids as usual. I would like to get your recommendation on an outdoor camera that works with solar that doesnt need wifi to allow recording to Sd card?
A couple of years ago I was gifted two Wired Ring Floodlight Pro Security Systems. I just got around to installing one system this week. Nothing but problems for me. Inconsistent motion tracking. Either too slow or non existent half the time. I've been going back and forth with the motion mode and birds eye mode, according to the apps manual, but doesnt seem to work as it should. And I just came to realize that Im gonna need a paid subscription to use these two. I noticed your property seems to be pretty bare, with nothing in the way. I wonder how much if any, difference that make when testing your cameras.
I would argue that a wired camera would most certainly beat every wireless camera in regards to best battery seeing how it is you know , wired to power .
Hello, I have a question. I have a house without internet and power. Is it possible to use a camera with solar power and satelital internet? Any information will be appreciated.
Do you know of any doorbell cameras with voip call support besides Wyze? When the doorbell is pressed it calls your phone using voip and you can have a two way conversation with the person at the door.
Is it easy to take battery operated door bells? They look easy to take. I had people take my ring cameras, so I am a bit leery with something that is more ground level. They are not cheap either.
great reviews and comparison. super helpful. do any of the cameras / apps have a simple geofencing function? i like the one with arlo, but not getting into subscriptions.
Good morning brother I have a question, I have an entry Gate that people like to park at or throw trash out in front of and I am looking for a camera to record 24 hours not motion, I have power and Wi-Fi at my gate, what would be the best options for me?
Any of the Reolink wired or plug in WiFi cameras like the trackmix, E1 outdoor or the CX410 WiFi. The cheapest would be a Wyze camera set to record 24/7 and you don’t have to subscribe to their monthly subscription or Tapo plug in cameras as well.
Im looking for one that records 24/7, has night vision, high definition and zoom, can work with or without wifi, and maybe wireless? The Eufy s350 looks good, but i would need to get one for every room and at $130 a piece that means id have to spend $390 😅.

Thanks.
So which cameras have no subscription that’s what I’m looking for
Which one is best for simple needs like watching the pets/kids indoors and a good doorbell camera? Thanks!!
Checkout eufy's indoor cams and their doorbell.
Awesome video! descriptive and straight to the point.
Can you record the footage from this set up?
What would be the best Apple HomeKit camera for indoor (lounge room)?
How you using Ring Alarm system and you have different types of cameras?
Wondering if the EUFY app has the neighborhood news as the Ring does
So for a one company solution, who is the go to and the leader right now (possibly the future as well) for DIY Install and Self Monitoring?
Thanks 😊
Which solar camera do you suggest
Still waiting on your response
Your reviews are awesome! Would you be able to tell me which of the cameras you've reviewed offer person announcements on Alexa? I only know for sure of Wyze and Tapo. Any others?
What would you recommend that is Wireless, Motion Alert/ spotlight with video and night vision, and notifications to my I phone WITHOUT subcription?
Question regarding the SD card. Are you able to access the recording from your phone? also delete it, or do you need to take it out to view the recording?
I'm planning to get a NVR system 12MP but not sure what the best, what do you recommend?
Please can you recommend any solar Wi-Fi camera that can record continuously and also uses NVR up to 32CH?
I’m so thankful you released this videos I was just recently been looking into security cameras and was trying to figure out the best outdoor system would be and I got a ring floodlight cam just because everyone had it and it was quick and easy to use I just don’t like the quality on it but now since you said eufy is the better overall brand I’ll be definitely be switching ✊🏽✊🏽
Thanks for watching!
what's the best for reading license plates on moving cars in your front yard street?
HI, I am having issues connecting EufyCam E to HomeBase 3, can you please show me how to connect them. thanks
Thank you for all this hard work! Has really helped me make my buying decisions, regardless of what my wallet would say - lolz.
@JeffFlowersgoogle...Thanks for watching!
What’s the better door bell Eufy or Blink
Is there a chance that you can review the Reolink RLC-81PA? I am looking to get those for my house and I know your reviews are in the most detail compared to others. It would be amazing if you could, thanks!
So is the eufy s340 the best camera out there? I cant stand ring... and want to switch
I’m trying to find the best quality outdoor camera, got to be wireless and can watch the live feed on a tv 24/7. Any help ?
Instead if a micro use, can I hook up a full hard drive to any of these?
Can anyone tell me how much do over the door and window camera cost? I never had one so how does it work ? Do u pay monthly ?
hey gd day, enjoy your vids as usual. I would like to get your recommendation on an outdoor camera that works with solar that doesnt need wifi to allow recording to Sd card?
Check out Eufy and Reolink LTE cameras, just search my channel with that keyword.
Use cameras that use sim cards n works with your smart data phone
Do you know of any doorbell cameras with voip call support besides Wyze?
When the doorbell is pressed it calls your phone using voip and you can have a two way conversation with the person at the door.
Eufy outdoor camera has been a nightmare to integrate with Alexa. It will show on the screen may 1 out of 10 times and usually can't connect.
Why do you prefer the Eufy C120 to the Tapo C120?
On the Wyze Cam Floodlight Pro, be a plug-in 🔌? And you do video on the process? Thank you!
Great information for people that don't know anything about home security cameras. Very helpful
@@LifeHackster Thanks brother 👍
Thank you so much for the deep dive in this matter i have a real educated decission on my new camera i will be purchaseing
😊🎉❤
Reolink doorbell can also record 24-7 to an SD card or NVR, and it's the only one with ethernet.
Yes. It is the most versatile wired doorbell.
Does EZVIZ have a good Wi-Fi camera with 2 way talk and good night vision??
Is ring still a good option for outdoor cameras?
Im looking for one that records 24/7, has night vision, high definition and zoom, can work with or without wifi, and maybe wireless? The Eufy s350 looks good, but i would need to get one for every room and at $130 a piece that means id have to spend $390 😅.
Didnt Eufy have a massive security flaw which anker just flat out denied existed instead of fixing
@Racing_Fox413 100% yes... I posted about this and my comments were removed and I was told that it was "fixed" 2 years ago ( it wasn't). I used to like his video reviews, but now I just feel he is a shill for certain companies.
Is the EUFY c120 compatible with homebase 3? does the s340 have the facial recognition or is the just the S330
