If i have a rope fixed to the ground and the other end connected to a balloon with cloth or balloon or soft body enabled and negative gravity so the balloon flies upwards... how the hellllll can i keep the rope from stretching infinitely?
I was doing the same type of project for a friend. I have my balloon string "wrapped" around the knot of my balloon, so I have a bunch of points constrained to the balloon. I cannot get the "constrained" points to follow the balloon as it floats away. It starts to lag behind. I've tried some priority tags, but not having much luck. Any ideas?
Hmm, Are you using S26? I haven't tried spline dynamics in S26. I wonder if the setup would be a bit different because they made some changes to dynamics.
@@BTB3D I’ve tried in r25 & 26. It looks Like the issue was solved by baking my rigid dynamics first. Then I ran the spline dynamics/ropes sim. After that, Everything works fine.

Hello, ive been trying to cache my spline dynamics but evertyime i calculate in the cache tab it doesnt bake or save any keyframes, any help?
So you wouldn't see any key frames, if you scrub your animation does it look correct?

What happened to spline dynamics in C4D 2023?
Its still there. Its now under Simulation tags and called Rope.
Does anybody know how to do this in 2023? the constraint tag is very different?
