Hello ! Actually I am super interested in your introduction animation with the crane and the pliers ! Do you think you can make a tuto to animate a plier dropping a Metal plaque on the floor ?
@@ratemyfuneral I know this is many years later, but the figure is not inherently connected together. If you connect the figure as-is to the spring it simply explodes or falls apart and it doesn't work. Do you remember how you got the figure to keep it's form when doing this?
That's an awesome idea, and to be honest, something I'd not thought of. I think that would work using the same method shown in the video and I will definitely have a play and see if I can do something with that in one of the future RagDoll videos! Cheers. :D
Thanks you for this tutorial, it's very very great!!! Question : Can you destroy (with voronoi fracture) the cylinder or any object attach to the "rope" ? If it's possible, you are my savior.
You can but, exactly how would depend on what you are trying to do. I would likely use a dummy object then swap it for the voronoi object at the point of breaking.
I hate to ask for more guidance, but the way constraints work in C4D 2024 have changed, so connecting the geometry of the rope from each object is no longer possible. Would you happen to know a good way to do the responsive geometry for the rope part?
Hi! I'm following along with this right now and am running into some trouble. At 3:06 you're able to move your bottom Cube but mine is frozen in place. I can't seem to get it to move no matter what I do. I plan on animating both cubes eventually and the top one seems to be able to move fine, but not the bottom one. Edit: Also when using a rectangular shape it rotates a lot with the motion instead of staying facing one direction. I'm trying to figure out how to animate a ribbon that twirls around as the object it's attached to spins. Maybe this isn't a good way to do that :(
I think this happens if you have certain dynamics applied to the cube. I believe if you temporarily remove the dynamic tag from the cube you can then move it.
Interesting shout! There is a wind effector in the simulation menu. Can’t remember off the top of my head but add it to the cloner, give it a bit of turbulence and I’ll bet you’ve got yourself a blowy dangly thing! 😀
Is there a way to change the spline’s length after setting up everything? I need to make the spring shorter but that makes the spline too long and the bottom end begins curving to the side
@@ratemyfuneral Figured it out! Looks like i was adding the constraint to every single vertex, not just the ones on the end. Thanks for the great tutorial!
I wish I could help, but I’m not sure what to tell you. It was exactly how I made the thumbnail. In terms of the material I unwrapped the models UVs then painted it in substance painter. Then imported the texture into the material channels. I cover all of this in other tuts on the channel if you are interested. Hope you figure it! :)
WOW! only just came across your channel and just wow.. SUBBED!
Awesome! Thank you!
Excellent tutorial thanks
Thanks!
It was a pretty good tutorial
Cheers!
Very good tutorial
Glad you think so!
Hey, great tutorial, any chance you could do a similar one for 2023 version?
Definitely fun tutorial, thank you sir
Most welcome!

Hi, great tutorial thank you! Can you explain shortly how I can attache the doll to the rope and make it swing organically, like you did in the Intro?
Glad you enjoyed it. Basically instead of the cylinder you use the part of your doll you want to be attached with the connector. :)

@@EvanH2000 hey, yeah the doll does need to be rigged with joints for the limbs. I covered that in a couple of other also pretty old tutorials.
Thanks for the tut!, did you have any approach or tried to make a marionette system? like they did in short film "Ugly"?

Sorry bud, I'm super out of touch with the latest versions of C4D.
@@ratemyfuneral That's alright, thank you for the reply
Good tutorial, but I would like to do the same with a doll as it appears in the sample. Thank you

Great tutorial, although it's 9.30 in the morning and I had to neck a coffee and put you on 0.75 playback speed.
I had prolly had a few red bulls before beginning!
Great tutorial! How to affect an object (eg hanging chimes or bells) with wind? So that it animates in the direction of wind only.

THANKS!!!!!!!!!!!

Super hard to say without setting it all up, but as long as you are on frame 1 I don't see why it would be a problem to adjust the spline.
I have a creature/monster that I made I wanted to make it's tongue hang a move outside it's mouth would I do that ?
Great thank you, i can finally hang humans in a safe 3d environment. Thank you 😊
anyone get a bunch of yellow lines and a rigid spline when adding the spline dynamics?
Not sure about that, not seen it myself?

@@MrYUMProductions Wooow thank you for this I had the same issue
Do you think c4d needs some dynamics update?
I actually very much do! Some strange behaviour has been present since R13.
@@ratemyfuneral hope they will update it soon. I am in love with this software since i started using 4 years ago.
bro you are verry funny boy thank you for your lesson if i can say how this
3 AM Here 😴😴😴
Your voice sounds different than later years.
I used to be more chilled out..... Then I had twins.
soooo how the fuck can i do it with the character??????????? like in the fuckin thumbnail
Hey, it’s exactly the same method. The second object connected to the hinge joint is any of the limbs of your RagDoll character. :)
@@ratemyfuneral doesnt work :)
