Hey Bob, im the guy from Germany with the same issue on my bike that you had. Thanks for the mention in your video. My Electra Glide is in the garage, primary off, on the the stand waiting for parts.. After seeing this video, I will be adding those seals for the shifter lever on to the parts list. Sadly, my issues are more extensive as I will also be replacing the clutch hub as some of the teath inside the hub broke due to the bad compensator causing the chain to stress the clutch. Need new clutch hub, bearing for the main shaft, a new chain tensioner, new starter, and finally, the culprit of my woes, a compensator that doesnt cause the primary to eat itself, LOL.... Oh and the gaskets and oil, never forget, Harley Owners need the following: Money, Oil, Patience, and of course, tools... Live to get Parts for the Bike, Ride to go and get more parts for the Bike!! Thats the way!!
That's quite the list! I wonder if the Softail B motor has a better reputation with it having some internal balancing before output? I also think the M8 does have some balancing and the engine mounting system, probably due to the displacement, like you say otherwise the motor wants to eat itself!
