these posture exercises are great! you can do them for a few mins. here and there throughout the day and it will stretch the appropriate muscles to keep you upright. these are among the numerous other terrific posture videos by bob and brad, the most terrific physical therapists on the internet! I end the routine with a franklin method exercise which causes the upper back and neck to align in a relaxing way. it's important for me to end the routine this way. Thank God (literally) for youtube!

The most difficult part for some people who have really bad posture for awhile is getting in the positions to do the exercises. Most videos demonstrate these exercises by people that have excellent mobility and flexibility and posture. I would see videos using people that actually have a major postural problem and then show the progression of their improvement.

Love the channel, huge supporter. As a Chiropractor, I too teach my patients to do Pect M/m stretches however, I have found using a corner with elbows straight works far better than door jam/hallway or with elbows bent, plus it hits the Biceps. The downside is finding a free corner in a house. Thanks for pounding posture, nobody likes to do it but it always helps.

All right gentlemen, I tried your “hitchhiker stretch” and right shoulder was making noise:
click, click, click then there was a pop! Thank goodness it didn’t dislocate again.
I’m 59 years old and this has happened several times in my life. I’ve already had two
shoulder operations, and I’m desperately trying to avoid a third operation.
Where I was told the doctors want to go in and “clean it up”. I’m in the process of trying
finding another orthopedic surgeon, because when I asked the my surgeon what
he meant by “clean it up”, he basically gave me a snarky look! I have already torn my
rotator cuff and broke and the (upper round arm/shoulder ) some bone 15 years ago.
Thanks to my 120 pound Rhodesian Ridgeback Who likes to chase squirrels.
I have three surgical pins basically holding my arm/shoulder in place. I love
your channel and it really has helped me a lot. After I watch this video
and hurt my shoulder I sat on the couch for an hour crying with an ice, before I was able
to write this. (Thank goodness for microphones.) It’s my own fault I am not blaming
anybody... After the first “click” I should have stopped but, it really felt good. Keep up
the good work but I need to rest my (right) arm for a couple of days before I move it again.

At 65, having a daily (mostly) Yin Yoga practice and doing BARRE 2-3/times week, my posture was still pretty good but after about 3 months of consistent posture work, it is excellent with the extra bonus of that lovely wide upper body-chest area that is a hallmark of a gymnast. Knots, tightness in my upper back, especially the edges of my scapulas, is pretty much a thing of the past. Thank you.

On a Cellerciser mini-trampoline get into the position where your arms are up to shoulder level with elbows bent and fingers pointing to the ceiling. Now bounce and let your chest muscle stretch while you squeeze your shoulder blades together. The effect of "soft gravity" helps puts some weight on your arms.

I have the tension bands and wall anchors by these guys recommendations and I use them as Brad did esp like these bc I don’t go to a gym I’d rather work out in my underwear. They’re informative and they give you laughs, 👍🏼👍🏼

Thanks B&B for your helpful info. Instead of a taped rolled up towel I used an empty 1 liter pop bottle with just air in it and the lid on tight. Put it down with a towel on top and it worked great.

I had a Backpack lying around. Filled it with heavy Textbooks. Wear it when I am at home. Constant reminder to Straighten Up!! Cheaper alternative than all those expensive Braces that are advertised!

These guys are awesome. Doing all of their exercises for shoulder pain and posture correction for 2 weeks and the pain is gone I found out I had weak rotator cuff muscles on my phone arm. Idk what muscle it is but the best way to feel it is to hold a chair with the bad arm and press down and back then bend forward while stepping back. That muscle. So if you use your phone in the same hand all the time check that and do their exercises lol.
