THANK YOU, Dr. Berg!!!! I have had night headaches almost daily for over a year!!!! I destroyed my gut with ibuprofen for the pain. I also bought a $60 pillow that did NOTHING to fix the issue. After many doctors, I figured out it was coming from my neck and upper back. I went to physical therapy, and it helped temporarily. In the last month, the terrible headaches started again. They wake me up in the middle of the night, and I feel I can't move due to the pain. I just started with a Chiropractor, and I will begin these exercises IMMEDIATELY. You are a life saver!!!

I've been having issues with my levator always feeling fatigued. My chiropractor has not shown me these exercises, I am definitely going to incorporate these, thanks!
My posture was excellent when I was young because, when I was in grade school, I didn't want to be one of those bent-over old ladies - then I went to a chiropractor when I was 12, and he told me my back was almost too straight. That scared me because I didn't know if that was dangerous. Bang! Gone was my good posture. Sigh. By the time I realized I should have ignored what he said, I was in the habit of slumping, and it was difficult to sit straight.
Yes thanks mom!!!! I will never forget when I was around 8ish (I'm 47 now) and my mother would always tell me to sit up straight, she also would correct my walking if my feet veered out to either side. Now I have excellent posture and walk w/my feet straight, like a lady. Good ole ma
100% ... I have two exercise bands ... Using my lighter band for these simple exercises ... In just a few minutes my neck feels great ... Hope to do this every day ... THANK YOU !!! 👍👍
Thanks for the exercise tip. Here's something you may not know because you don't wear bifocals. Bifocals can also give you major neck strain. Bifocals are designed and meant for reading books, not computer screens. This places the bifocal lens at the lower part of the glasses. When one is attempting to read the computer screen with one's bifocal lens, one tilts one's head backwards to bring the bifocal lens higher and into one's view range. This tilting of the head back puts the neck in an unnatural state for an extended period of time and as a result tensions the neck muscle causing strain. Using the bifocal lens to read the computer monitor can also lead to eye strain as one must maintain an unnatural position of the head and over a period of time one will struggle to maintain that position and invariably, rather than looking through the regular lens or the bifocal, one will be looking through that small part that lies between the normal lens and the bifocal lens. Consistently viewing through that small portion as one struggles to maintain the head position, strains the eyes. If the computer monitor can be arranged so that it is laying flat such as when reading a book, then the bifocals will work just fine without causing strain, otherwise a separate pair of reading glasses is necessary to alleviate the stress.
if your eyes are good you should NOT wear glasses even if they look good! yes you can get a sore neck but it is also bad for you eyes if they are the wrong ones
@@thethinkingman- "if your eyes are good you should NOT wear glasses even if they look good! yes you can get a sore neck but it is also bad for you eyes if they are the wrong ones" Why would anyone with good eyes, be wearing glasses?

Great exercises. I am going to start NOW. Also you can lay on the floor or other flat hard surface, you can use a yoga mat but DO NOT do it on a bed or other soft surface...Just lay down flat , put your arms over your head against the floor, like 'stick them up' move and can also stretch arms straight out to the side....Relax and keep the position for 10 minutes or so. You can put a firm rolled up towel under the last bone of the spinal column. Do everyday. 🥰

This is wonderful exercises well these stretches rotating. I love this . Thank you so much. My right shoulder ,neck having a lot of aches and pain. I will be doing these exercises.
Be sure to read the last couple of sentences. Being a victim/veteran of back fusion and poor posture by skulking my way through life, I lacked the muscle memory for proper posture for decades. I stumbled across Dr. Berg's first three standing stretches and can vouch for their benefits over several decades. I had never seen #4, but certainly see the benefits and look forward to using this stretch. One that I do that I've never seen anywhere else is quite simple. I begin with the basics of chest out, tummy in. With feet nearly together, I begin to reach as high as I can. As I progress, I accentuate on focusing on all major and minor muscle groups, stretching and aligning my head over my shoulders, my torso and back centering them over my hips and ultimately my feet. I slowly release the tension while maintaining my posture. I feel as though I've regained an inch or two
I really appreciate this. I’m 32 and at 22 I had something pop in my neck. Over a few hours the pain was so bad I couldn’t move. I was literally locked up from extreme pain. After the incident I started to see a chiropractor for the first time since I was an child and they diagnosed me with osteoporosis in my cervical spine and also said my neck had lost its curve. I was recommended a chin tuck exercise to restore the curve but have never stuck with it. 10 years later and I’m in much worse shape. My job (solo house cleaner) is very aggravating to my condition and if I don’t stay on top of my magnesium glycinate supplements, I deal with a lot of pain, tension, and migraines. I’m going to try these stretches.
Thanks Doc!!! I have been working out for years and doing too much weight and overdevelopment of my chest and front delts led to bad posture. Can't tell you how much these exercises have helped.
This workout was so quick and great feeling all over my upper body, instantly! Will definitely keep doing this everyday. 🎉 If you can do something just as quick for the lower body, i would love that !!

I've actually did routine 1~3 unconsciously sometimes. I just felt they are good to do and my body feels great afterwards. Today I finally know they actually have a names, and its fascial stretch !!
Great. So powerful and perfect for a person who isn't in good shape like me. So you don't have to do a lot of reps to get a good work out in. I did this and feel so worked out by doing so little! Each workout was just right. This series was so efficient.
Windmill stretch while holding a weight on your arm you hold up and hold your bodyweight the other arm. Works best when down on one knee. Push away from the ground focusing on the shoulders pushing up while stabilizing the shoulders. You will feel the activation of the muscles between your shoulder blades and will straighten you up. Done this as my warmup for the past 6 months.
How can it be, that this video is up less than a day and yet there are many people writing: "10 years of pain and thanks to this video, no more pain" etc.? Bots? Bought comments? This is very fishy.
Placebo more likely. Don't get me wrong, I'm not trying to discredit the video, just saying a lot of people are looking for "the solution" that will solve everything. Typically every new thing they try solves it, until they forget about it and move on to the next "solution" a few days later. Then again, for a channel with millions of subscribers, it only takes one guy to get their pain healed to make a comment like that. Also people like to overexaggerate.
wow funny i have been doing these exercises for years but without a stick.i am a construction worker and i have been doing it to stretch my body before i start work
Can't wait to try these moves because I desperately need the help in straightening my posture. But I'm healing from a fractured collar bone, so it's going to be a while. ☹️
Great timing for this video. I am 63. I noticed, while reviewing videos from our home security system, that when I was outside walking around, I am getting this hunched forward posture, I guess from sitting in front of my computer all day. I do NOT like what I have seen. Honestly, I did order, last week, this strap system that is supposed to correct your posture. I haven't received it yet. But in the meantime, I am going to try your exercises. Someone had told me to keep reminding myself to sit up straight and imagine a straight rod up-and-down my back. And force myself to "look upward".
Dr Berg. I've been watching you for many, many years and seeing that you have 12 million Subscribers is fibulas. You give the public something it really needs and I'm glade you get the reward for it. Some people have a lot of view and they don't deserve anything.

Did this today. What a difference it makes! I heard cracks here and there and it was relaxing. I walked straighter and my back was nor slumping.
Bless you for all of your good tips! 🙏
I've had bad posture all my life. I'll give it a try.
Thanks Dr. Berg❤

That's great!
Once again, great information . Thank you !
I saved to my daily routine. I sit at my desk anywhere from 10-14 hours a day. Thank you! 🙏
I'll definitely try it thanks!
I feel as though I've regained an inch or two
Yessss !!! More videos like thisss !!!
Incredible! First time I did this felt sooo much better! Definitely post of my daily routine. Thanks so much
Most welcome!
Thanks Doc!!! I have been working out for years and doing too much weight and overdevelopment of my chest and front delts led to bad posture. Can't tell you how much these exercises have helped.
Your channel should be prescribed to everyone including doctors!
This workout was so quick and great feeling all over my upper body, instantly! Will definitely keep doing this everyday. 🎉
If you can do something just as quick for the lower body, i would love that !!
*Larry Burkett's book on "Giving and Tithing" drew me closer to God and helped my spirituality. 2020 was a year I literally lived it. I cashed in my life savings and gave it all away. My total giving amounted to 40,000 dollars. Everyone thought I was delusional. Today, 1 receive 85,000 dollars every two months. I have a property in Calabasas, CA, and travel a lot. God has promoted me more than once and opened doors for me to live beyond my dreams. God kept to his promises to and for me*
There's wonder working power in following Kingdom principles on giving and tithing. Hallelujah!
But then, how do you get all that in that period of time? What is it you do please, mind sharing?
It is the digital market. That's been the secret to this wealth transfer. A lot of folks in the US and abroad are getting so much from it, God has been good to my household Thank you Jesus
And thanks to my co-worker (Michael) who suggested Ms Susan Jane Christy
How can I start this digital market, any guidelines and how can I reach out to her?
TY Dr Berg. I find nutrition etc fascinating. I think I’m well versed but I ALWAYS learn something new from you!
Great stuff! Not that I'd expect anything different from The Good Dr.
I've actually did routine 1~3 unconsciously sometimes. I just felt they are good to do and my body feels great afterwards. Today I finally know they actually have a names, and its fascial stretch !!
Thank you.
Great. So powerful and perfect for a person who isn't in good shape like me. So you don't have to do a lot of reps to get a good work out in. I did this and feel so worked out by doing so little! Each workout was just right. This series was so efficient.
Love your relevant, extremely helpful videos! Bless you ❤❤❤❤

Very welcome, hope it helps!
Thank you Doc
Windmill stretch while holding a weight on your arm you hold up and hold your bodyweight the other arm. Works best when down on one knee. Push away from the ground focusing on the shoulders pushing up while stabilizing the shoulders. You will feel the activation of the muscles between your shoulder blades and will straighten you up. Done this as my warmup for the past 6 months.
How can it be, that this video is up less than a day and yet there are many people writing: "10 years of pain and thanks to this video, no more pain" etc.? Bots? Bought comments? This is very fishy.
Try it 🤷♂️
Placebo more likely.
My pain completely is went away. This doctor is real
There are similar videos, he didn't "create" that
Why are you so negative? Get psychiatric help.
Just began dealing with costacondritis, VERY painful. Suspect these will help immensely. Blessing!
4:50 "you're going to sleep like a baby" So, you're going to wake up crying every two hours? 🤔 😂

Thank you 👍👍👍👍 I’m stuck at a computer for hrs a day and have that awful posture you speak of. I will be trying your advise asap! 🙂
This is yoga..
The classic Yoga doesn’t recommend any Tool.
