Hearing you talk about the objectives of Shatter the Sky being super unique is so weird, considering that entire joke didn't get coined until the Legacy of the Void run. I feel like I'm in a time loop.
Seriously this series showed me that I loved starcraft 2 even after all the time I didn't play it. All of the costume captains and silly stuff that came out of this channel brought me so much joy. Normally I am not the guy who writes comments but I just want you to know: Thank you Grant you are still one of my favorite content creator and even if I don't watch everything on the archive channel I'm still glad you here on UA-cam. I hope you enjoy your time with us as much as we enjoy the time with you.
As someone who frequently re-listens to old videos while doing chores, this is very appreciated. I didn't know Christmas mirackes can happen in July!!!
I've long been someone who's played through SC2's campaigns on Casual, loving the story and gameplay of the missions for more than a decade now. Thank to you, Grant, I've recently decided to raise the stakes of my near annual playthroughs and recently took on WoL on Hard, continuing on to the other campaigns similarly. It was like falling in love with the game all over again, challenging myself and enjoying the missions and story all over again with higher stakes, and I even got the chance to use some of your elite tech, too, (like the invisible wall of Specters on The Dig.) Since your very first Deathless video, I've enjoyed your content Grant, thank you for bringing the community together as you have, and providing us with fresh content for a game we all love.
I know audio is something that a lot of youtubers struggle with, it would be cool if you could show a sort of tutorial on this videos transformation, all the tips and tricks you found over the years to go from the original audio to this audio. I'm sure it would be helpful to at least several people.
Honestly the best youtuber I've had the pleasure of listening to for the past few years! Thanks, Grant, for bringing back such wonderful memories! Here's wishing for many more to come!
I just realised this now of all time, I think one of the reasons I liked it a lot all those years ago in addition to being good videos, is that it explains really easily some of the aspects of the game and the campaign, which makes it extremely useful for newer players or even older ones for the things you can learn. and really, that's the case with every challenge run and one of the reason they are fun, but GGG presents things very well.
It really is amazing how far you have come. From doing the deathless runs to being probably the best player in the campaigns, your achievements are amazing.
The medivac actually heals the same speed as a medic with stabiliser medpack, but u can double their healing with the armoury upgrade that gives them two beams. For essence of eternity I wonder if u can spam camera hotkeys to jump between both fights
I don't share his dislike but, from what I remember, it started with her being objectively wrong about being able to handle the Zerg virus and thus causing more and more problems. I'm sure at this point it's exaggerated for memery
Really appreciate the remasterd audio. I can still hear the original video in it but the extra and rewritten parts really add to the flavour. Gj grant 🤗
I actually really like how he thought about how people may not like the lower quality of the original video and did literally everyone a favor and threw some love onto the old gold
This is simply incredible. The dedication to go through even one of these challenges is inspiring to say the least, but the whole three campaigns... Amazing.
1:09:19 I NEVER thought I'd hear someone say "And then comes 'Last Stand', another freebie mission" when talking about the level that gave me such a headache the first time I played it. Congratulations, sir. The whole run was amazing.
Oh the audio upgrade is so amazing thank you god. I wanted to watch the old videos but compared to your new stuff they weren't palatable. You've come so far.
Wow! Such a big amount of super unique missions! There are several minutes for describing any of those and each minute have increasingly amount of pain while objective reaching!
Please return your wings of liberty deathless video. Personally, I liked it alot and rewatch it from time to time. Not to mention that it's somewhat historical to your channel. I hope there are people that will agree with me.
I don't know how much work these remasters are but I'd love it for wc3 as well, I rewatch your older vids every couple months when going to bed and I appreciate the love for the content! Ty grantiel ur the goat
Great video. I'm really looking forward to playing StarCraft 3. Immortal Gates of Pyre gave me strong StarCraft vibes when I participated in the beta testing.
The contents of the supercut are super unique. There a three together sewn videos, each of them were made progressively further in the past! And its great that the supercut with better audio is here, how else can i appreciate Legacy of the Voids missiondesign than with Grants commentary?!
Hey Grant! Love your stuff to bits! I know remastering content like this isn't really the "financially/algorithmically optimal choice", but I really appreciate the decision to make your content better with what you learned over the last four years. UA-cam videos are an art form after all!
I look forward to the "Can you beat ALL of starcraft Without Losing a Unit" video in the future, combining both the original, broodwar, sequal, expansion equals, and Nova Covert Ops with the final invisible dummies. All we would need then is beating Starcraft 1 (Mass Recall) in Starcraft 2, and vice versa with Beating Starcraft 2 Wings of Liberty in Starcraft 1.
I am grateful that Grant made this edit. I don't know how many times I've watched the OG trilogy already. It is a sad thing to see the old Liberty video gone, but I can understand for the quality's sake. Thanks for your hard work, and please rest as well.
Looking at this and the original side by side really shows how different the energy in your voice is compared to back in the day Oh, and the mic qiality too of course
Brain: Giantgrant games just dropped a new video! There will be no sleep tonight! Cells: Give us vitamin D, please! Brain: You will have your screen light and you will like it!
I only just thought about it. For the finale of the Colonist questline, either you can do what Grant did which is purify the colony...which then causes a whole thing where Jim has to kill Ariel Hanson. But if he chose the other option to attack the Protoss, Jim doesn't have to kill Selendis or anything. She just leaves. So...I mean its not stated in the rules anywhere to try and limit as many kills that your characters perform as possible. However, wouldn't the whole idea of trying to save as many lives as possible be to save the colonists, rather than purify them?
That one also seemed a bit weird in that based on 16:06 he let some settlements get infested, and surely letting the colonists get infested then having to kill said infested goes against the "save all allies where possible" rule.
But Grant, what about the LotV prologue, everyone’s favorite and most memorable campaign missions? Oh yeah, and Nova covert ops… Also this entire video is amazing, so thank you.
Hmm 4 years too late, but the thought occurs to me now that the damn bunker could've been defeated more easily by floating a building over to draw its fire and then shooting it down with the marines

Plus, it is a bit unfair. Each location is actually unique. Joke, Anti-air, Anti-ground and mixed (+ broodlords).
