This (I believe) is the specific Varathane one I used in this video- amzn.to/3qM5LFh I now use the Chalk Mountain brand because I’m an ambassador for them. Both are great, but if you already have a water based poly you like using, I’m sure it would work just as well.
Either polyacrylic or polyurethane. I always use water based. Varathane satin poly is a great one to start with and it’s at a good price. But there are tons out there. If you’re just starting out you’ll eventually find a favorite based on the other products you’re using and the type of finish you want.
