Mr Todd I had anxiety for the CFI check ride but it's diminishing rather quickly watching each of your videos!! Thank you!!
I must say, the day I first started my private pilot training and my CFI plopped down a thick ass FAR/AIM in front of me, the very first thing I thought was “this is a thick ass book!”
Me too!
Todd you are the MAN! awesome lessons with humor. Best way to teach these things. Thank you very much!
I just found your channel. If only I found it sooner!! Watching all of the videos now, thanks for what you do.
"Thick Ass Book" lol
Hey Todd, aspiring CFI here. Thanks for all of your videos. I love them. I had question though. You mentioned how a student pilot in training does not require a medical as per §61.3 (c)(2). Does this apply to a student training for a Private Pilot ASEL certificate as well? If yes, I wasn’t able to find that particular reg (I only found student pilot seeking for glider, balloon, weight-shift, etc.)
They would only need the medical to solo. They do not need a medical to train.
Does TAA time that's required in commercial count by just using a G1000 equipped aircraft, or must you actively be using the autopilot function? I know this may be a little random.
It's all in how it is logged by the CFI that you fly with. Just make sure that you have "Training Per 61.129(a)(3)(ii), and you should be fine. Hope this helps.
Amazing explanation!
First of all Mr. Todd, thanks for the videos and channel. I have a question: Where can I fiind the same regulations for other countries around the world? I would like to do a comparative in General Aviation for pilots, crew, aircraft mechanic and so on.
Thanks in advance!!!
That is an excellent question! I did some light research and found most of the surrounding countries (Canada, Mexico, Bahamas) to be readily available. I do not know and did not find, a one-stop source for all of this data. I would recommend that you do the same if you are looking for a specific country.
@@ToddShellnuttCPC Thanks so much for the answer...I will google it then. :-)
For your patreon page which package will allow me to look at all the videos for the 8 week course to know everything for my check ride also, do you have anything for anybody wanting there II.
Any of the packages will allow you to see the videos. I am not sure what you meant by, "do you have anything for anybody wanting there II."

Can a regular CFI train a person seeking a sport pilots cert?
Absolutely! Just not the opposite. 14 CFR 61.429
@@ToddShellnuttCPC thanks! You the Reg-Master!!
After you said, “Hello,” I almost thought I’d hear, “I’m Jonny Cash.”
Thank you for all your great videos Todd. Patreon supporter here. Well worth it.

Mr. Todd, in your infinite wisdom, could you please help us locate the FAR's that refer to a commercial airliner with excessive emissions or leaking a trail of something in the air, possible pollutants, over populated land. We know that crop duster AG aircraft have a separate licensed category in which to spray or dust certain pesticides and so forth. We are only referring to commercial passenger airlines.
Thank you for your assistance.
hey @toddshellnutt where do I find this page
