How did you fix the controller not working at the start?

Exactly cuz that's the problem that I'm having and he skipped past that. I feel like that's the most important part

I think the best bet is to return the non working controller if it is still returnable. Mine is still working good though...

probably just manually turn off your ps4 again and it will skip that black screen automatically, then itll be just how he did it
