I love this song and love both movies so far! However, as good as this next movie probably will be, it will be hard to watch so many favorite characters die at the same time!
Jessica Sadowska No, he didn't. But, Kili and Fili did, and they were my favorite along with Bofur. Thank God Bofur didn't die or all my favorites would have died along with Thorin, another favorite.
In the middle ages you would have died at 30, in the future you would be a replaceablen cog in a dystopian machine or likely be so overwhelmef by content or born to such a divergent culture that lotr is a forgotten footnote of a less cognitive history. Now is the time to be present and revel in the beauty that is lotr. A once in a wide and hutrtful universe experience. Thanks to thousands of cast and crew of both films.
I don't really think his voice and this melody fit the movie. It's nice, but in my opinion it should have been a more epic song like the "Song of the Lonely Mountain"...
This song is only in the credits and yet people refer to this as "the song from the Hobbit". Bleh, atleast the song in the first Hobbit's credits was related to the song in the actual movie. Random song in the credits doesn't qualify as epic movie music :(
This song would make grown dwarfs tear into their beards reminding the cost of their greed

This still doesn't beat the RotK end credits song "Into the West" by Annie Lennox.
Nothing beats The Last Goodbye by Billy Boyd.
