I found the original when I was college. I sang it while I held my dog as he passed. I sang it when I walked home from the bars. I sang it when I drove from work. I sang it when I played video games. Now I sing this song to my baby daughter while I cradle her to sleep. Cheers for changing my life. Thank you for bringing this into existence. I await your next version in 10 years time.
I found the original when I was in middle school. I sang it throughout highschool and college. And now I sing it as I walk from my apartment to grad school. This song is timeless.
Raise your cups, my fellow Tolkien-folk, hail to King Under the Mountain, hail to the Singers Under the Mountain! To 10 years of fantastic hymns, songs, and storytelling!
I swear that I honestly considered the full lyrics of the video were by Tolkien, but nope, part of it is original. It shows how good they are, their additions fit perfectly in the theme and in the style.
The original song is how I found you guys and I love how much you’ve grown and how the overall quality of your music as increased! Here’s to another 10 years! And many more!
Same here, I have listened to the original a thousand times over the past 5 years, and I have a feeling that I will be listening to this one another thousand times for many years more.
Yeah, i think that was their break-through. Genius move, making the entirety of the song in the same style of the Hobbit movie. A lot of people really wanted more of that song, and they surely delivered. As much back then as they did today :)
Ten years ago, I was in Middle-school, and it was a miserable time for me, for various reasons. Then, in seventh grade, I discovered Tolkien, Lord of the Rings, The Hobbit, and Middle-earth, which utterly transported me into a fantastical world that I cannot even begin to find the words, for how I treasure it. This epic story and history has stayed with me even now, past graduation from both High School and College, quite unlike many other stories that I have known over the course of my life. Around that time, I also came across your original version of this song, your earliest work, and that only further immersed me in Middle-earth, I always hummed it in passing in the hallways at school (it helped keep me going even through trying times) and ever since that song, I have been an avid listener of all of your works. To see your quality continue to grow over the years has been a real treasure, and I knew from the beginning that as a group, you are worthy of all the praise and exposure that you deserve. Thank you, Clamavi De Profundis, for ten years of bringing the stories of fantasy, religion, and yuletide spirit to life through song. I wish you the very best to all your works, and that the next ten years will be just as inspiring as the first. A very Merry Christmas to you, and a very Happy Anniversary!
Even after 10 years, There is Magic in that music. And it moves through me. You feel the love of beautiful things. To go and see the great mountains, pine trees, and waterfalls. To wear a sword instead of a walking stick. Just once. Tolkien would be proud of you and your company of merry folk.
As someone who has memorized your extended edition with the "Song of Durin" placed in the center for roughly 7 years now, I can honestly say this was so amazing to sing along to! Can't wait to see where the music goes after this. Maybe some more stories with the Kingdom of Hammerdeep??? Or even a sequel to Oshrjad Bonebreaker? Who knows! We'll have to wait and see.
...as they sang the hobbit felt the love of beautiful things made by hands and by cunning and by magic moving through him, a fierce and jealous love, the desire in the hearts of the dwarves. Then something Tookish woke up inside him, and he wished to go and see the great mountains, and hear the pine-trees and the waterfalls, and explore the caves, and carry a sword instead of a walking stick...
It t ook me a while but I memorized this entire song for my kids who have severe trauma issues. I used to sing it in the car when they were little to go on nap drives. It was so calming for them, this song means so much to me and I love that someone did it justice finally. Thank you!!
When I saw this song drop, all seven of my boys gathered round. It is so awesome to have awesome Catholic music and awesome dwarf music to unite my family. Thank you thank you!!!
This has been on repeat. I went for a hike early in the morning up into the mountains while jamming to this. I sat and stared at the cold mountains while this played. Brilliant.

What I loved the most from this version is the new approach to the fragment: "The wind was on the withered heath but in the forest stirred no leaf -There shadows lay by night or day and dark thing silent crept beneath. -The wind came down the mountains cold and like a tide it roared and rolled. -The branches groaned, the forest moaned and leaves were laid upon the mould" Also liked the addition of the little fragments from *_The_* *_King_* *_Beneath_* *_the_* *_Mountains_* From my perspective it feels a lot more rhythmical (some parts if not all the song). I spent around an hour getting used to the new format, for I had the old one stuck in my head from years of singing it.

Very solid, probably the best version I've had the pleasure to listen to. As per suggestions, I would love to see the Battle of Sauron and Finrod refreshed. Stories of Finarfin's children are probably one of the greatest highlights of the mythos. Your Namarie actually inspired me to compose my own version.
This song has helped me through so many tough times from 7th grade (middle school) to the end of my college journey this past year.❤❤ Thank you for 10 years of greatness and in helping to kickstart my journey into Tolkien’s fantasy works! So glad this classic has been remastered. I know that you are a humble group but you are truly one of the best artists who have covered Tolkien’s poems. You have inspired so many people with your work, talent, and have evoked countless dreams of wandering adventures to a lonely mountain (and many other tales!) far away. God bless you, best wishes, and so excited to see future works!
And once again... "Beneath the mountain music woke" Thank you for your work. Although I prefer you original adaptation, it's never too much to celebrate this wonderful piece of art.
Happy tenth anniversary, Clamalvi De Profundis! The original version of this song, as well as your interpretation of The Lament For Boromir was how I found your channel in the first place, and I stayed for the Christmas music as well as the new version of The Battle Of Lepanto. You all have done great work. I can see now why most of the lyrics were left out of the movie version of the first Hobbit movie. Thorin and the rest of the Company would have still been singing it the next morning when Bilbo caught up to them after having signed the contract. Tolkien would sure be proud, but he would probably die all over again if he read a bunch of the stories in the Hobbit fandom on certain fan fiction websites, which shall remain nameless. I listen to this song once a month and still love it. I still get chills every time I listen to it, the lyrics are so perfect. The Dwarves of yore made mighty spells While hammers fell like ringing bells In places deep, where dark things sleep In hollow halls beneath the fells Goblets they carved there for themselves And harps of gold; where no Man delves There lay they long, and many a song Was sung unheard by Men or elves The winds were moaning in the night The fire was red, it flaming spread The trees like torches blazed with light The bells were ringing in the Dale And Men looked up with faces pale The dragon's ire more fierce than fire Laid low their towers and houses frail Under the Mountain dark and tall The King has come unto his hall His foe is dead, the Worm Of Dread And ever so his foes shall fall The mountain throne once more is freed O! Wandering folk, the summons heed Come haste! Come haste! Across the waste The King of friend and kin has need Here at the gates the King awaits His hands are rich with gems and gold The King has come unto his hall Under the mountain dark and tall The worm Of Dread is slain and dead And ever so our foes shall fall The Lord Of Silver Fountains shall come into his own His halls shall echo golden to song of yore re-sung Is the Dwarf being depicted at 13:42 Kili? I love the artistic rendering of Thorin at 14:47 with his new armor and cloak. He looks so regal and kingly. Gather round, sons and daughters of Durin, with ale, wine or tea in hand. The time has come once again to honor the fallen. May our King Under The Mountain Thorin Oakenshield and his mighty Company rest forever in Mahal's loving arms until the day comes when we are all reunited with them again.
Can't weight. I hope the full song is in the desperate yearning tone like what is in the first movie. I remember hearing that and the cold chills crept along my spine and awakened my eyes
I've probably listened to this song like 5-10 times now and the part at 9:32 gives me chills everytime, keep up the good work guys, this is a musical masterpiece.

Thank you all so much for all the work youve done over the years bringing these songs to life.
Astonishing beautiful it’s sensational. I’m astound on how spectacular this is. I only listen to this version specifically, I love the melody from “the dragon is withered” as well, it was the first song I’ve heard. This song is powerful
Fantastic work. Surprised by the tempo changes because I’ve listened to the 20min version so much. Your songs gave me a new respect for Tolkien’s works.
A wonderful rendition!! I think on first listen my favorite part was when you sang of Rivendell. The vocals were spectacular! I also enjoyed the verse of “The pines were roaring on the heights”. Definitely one of if not the best pieces I’ve seen from y’all!! Thank you!

God bless you all and thank you for all of these astonishing songs and thank you for bringing middle - earth to life through music. May you be in His grace forever, im sure Tolkien is proud of yall !
I really like the variations on the melody. While I really liked the version you did years ago this one is a lot more interesting to listen to musically speaking. I also really like the percussion work and the bits of the Song of Durin you snuck in. 10/10 Edit: listening again I realize that's not the Song of Durin. Still like that bit though.
Listening to it a couple days later and it’s making me cry listening to it! It’s just so beautiful and I think perfectly captures the feelings of the dwarves!!
I've always been a huge fan of your covers of Misty Mountains, and this does such amazing justice to the piece, including the absolutely incredible instrumental at the beginning. A very lovely holiday gift to us all, many thanks to thee Clamavi!

Cudos to you guys, I wish you even greater succes in the future, though with this video you probably reached the peak of this mountain. We need to find another one!
I’ve been listening to you guys since the beginning. And hearing this song again brought back a lot of good memories. Here’s to ten years of hearing you guys make awesome music and to hoping you guys do this for many more.🎉
I've listened to it about a dozen times in the last 5 days, and I love the new melody line that you sprinkle in at various points and the new arrangement for the first part of "The Wind Was On The Withered Heath." They break the monotony of the song and give it some more punchiness. I also love the incorporation of "The King Beneath the Mountain." "The Song of Durin" in the original was cool, but this just fits better thematically, and TKBtM is one of my favorite songs y'all have done.

Stories of Finarfin's children are probably one of the greatest highlights of the mythos. Your Namarie actually inspired me to compose my own version.
This song has helped me through so many tough times from 7th grade (middle school) to the end of my college journey this past year.❤❤
Thank you for 10 years of greatness and in helping to kickstart my journey into Tolkien’s fantasy works!
Been listening to clamavi for 7 years now. Always like a Christmas gift when they post anything!
Thank you, for 10 years of awesomeness.
Thank you for the new song and the first audiobook!
And thank you for allowing Christmas to come early!
Ten years of awsome songs by Clamavi De Profundis. Congatulations from Czech republic.
And once again...
"Beneath the mountain music woke"
Thank you for your work.
The Dwarves of yore made mighty spells
While hammers fell like ringing bells
In places deep, where dark things sleep
In hollow halls beneath the fells
Goblets they carved there for themselves
And harps of gold; where no Man delves
There lay they long, and many a song
Was sung unheard by Men or elves
The winds were moaning in the night
The fire was red, it flaming spread
The trees like torches blazed with light
The bells were ringing in the Dale
And Men looked up with faces pale
The dragon's ire more fierce than fire
Laid low their towers and houses frail
Under the Mountain dark and tall
The King has come unto his hall
His foe is dead, the Worm Of Dread
And ever so his foes shall fall
The mountain throne once more is freed
O! Wandering folk, the summons heed
Come haste! Come haste! Across the waste
The King of friend and kin has need
Here at the gates the King awaits
His hands are rich with gems and gold
The King has come unto his hall
Under the mountain dark and tall
The worm Of Dread is slain and dead
And ever so our foes shall fall
The Lord Of Silver Fountains shall come into his own
His halls shall echo golden to song of yore re-sung
Is the Dwarf being depicted at 13:42 Kili?
*wait. Weight is measured on a scale

I've probably listened to this song like 5-10 times now and the part at 9:32 gives me chills everytime, keep up the good work guys, this is a musical masterpiece.
Tolkien would certainly be proud! Cheers to Ten Years of Magic guys! You’re the BEST! ❤️🔥
They're certainly keeping the spirit of Tolkien alive a lot better than Amazon

That was the most beautiful thing I have heard In a long time. The way y’all meshed “The Dragon is Withered” and “Song Of Durin” together was angelic. God Bless your family.
The list of Tolkien's great works, and songs continues! I'm happy you all (Clamavi De Profundis) appreciate Tolkien's works to make masterpieces like this. The universe of Arda has truely inspired our universe of Erda.
Thank you all for making so much beautiful pieces. I discovered you with this song and never left, because no other artists make me feel a way like I'm directly here, on Middle Earth. I'm sure Eru Illuvatar itself is shaked by your Music. I'm looking forward for the next 10 years hoping to dream and to be transported like the 10 last. Have a good holiday and christmas all !
Uma das melhores músicas de fantasia de todos os tempos. Simplesmente atemporal ❤
Oh my God, I feel the sacred energy behind this song. This is pure power.
Its been years since I heard the first rendition and to this day it always brings me to tears.
The dwarven songs, particuarly The Misty Mountain hold a special place in my heart for deeply personal reasons.
Blessed Solemnity of the Immaculate Conception to you all.
You too my friend!✝️

What a day to release such a masterpeice
Fantastic work. Surprised by the tempo changes because I’ve listened to the 20min version so much. Your songs gave me a new respect for Tolkien’s works.
What an incredible song. This is the best adaptation of Tolkien's wonderful poetry I've ever heard. Thank you so much.
Happy 10 years! And thank you for all the joy you've brought in that time!
A wonderful rendition!! I think on first listen my favorite part was when you sang of Rivendell. The vocals were spectacular! I also enjoyed the verse of “The pines were roaring on the heights”. Definitely one of if not the best pieces I’ve seen from y’all!! Thank you!
You are such an underrated channel. Please keep up the fantastic work my fellow Catholic Brothers and Sisters.
that was..... a religious experience. thank you so much
Exactly what religion

Happy Ten year Anniversary and Feast of the Immaculate Conception. You’ve done great things for the Glory of God. Positive, Mary gave her Son’s blessings on your works.
I just got finished listen to the audiobooks of the Hobbit, LOTR, and Silmarillion. This could not have come out at a better time. All of your arrangements of Tolkien's poems are good, but this is something else.
Can’t believe it’s been ten years since the hobbit trilogy and since you released the first misty mountains song. Crazy.
Thank you for your great work on Middle Earth, Christian, and original songs/hymns. Your channel never fails to bring joy and fantasy!
Thank you, thank you, thank you, the hair on my toes seemed to fall out with the amount of goose bumps I had listening to this masterpiece. thank you for ten years of music.
Edit: listening again I realize that's not the Song of Durin. Still like that bit though.
Listening to it a couple days later and it’s making me cry listening to it! It’s just so beautiful and I think perfectly captures the feelings of the dwarves!!
Reimagining something thats already perfect and creating something even greater in the process... A true 11/10. Bravo!
I've always been a huge fan of your covers of Misty Mountains, and this does such amazing justice to the piece, including the absolutely incredible instrumental at the beginning. A very lovely holiday gift to us all, many thanks to thee Clamavi!
I just happened to come across this channel when this dropped.. at first didn't want to devote 20 minutes to a song like this, but am I glad I did
I hope you checked out their other songs, because they are amazing!
This is truly worthi of being called "Ultimate Edition", its so good i cant get enough of your music!
Chills. Straight up chills. Wonderful work from our brothers under the mountain.
What a beautiful remaster of a masterful song that gave me chills and soothed during a time of stress. God bless you all and Tolkien! 👼
As someone that’s bought every version you’ve put out that i could, i just need you to know that i adore this version. I really enjoy the harmonizations here, and the enunciation of the words are far more crisp. You can tell how far you’ve come between the first version(s) and now. I look forward to being able to purchase this version when it’s available.
This is a wonderful performance, so moving and with inner strength. Great voices and composition, deep bass that bounces with vibrations from the body. Thank you for this wonderful song! I can't wait to hear more of your songs.

I love this song, and the moment of from "The King Beneath the Mountain" lyrics make me really happy.
Thanks you really much. For this song and all other... You are the peoples who make me rejoice my school chore. Thanks you.
This is not a song, this is a mood !
I enjoyed it.
I just finnished re-reading The Hobbit, I felt it was necessary to play this magnificent masterpiece along. It made the reading experience more emotional. Thank You for your beautiful work!
I need to pick up my jaw from the ground after this. I don't even know what to say, I can't think of any words to describe the greatness of this video.
Cudos to you guys, I wish you even greater succes in the future, though with this video you probably reached the peak of this mountain. We need to find another one!
I mostly listen to this because the movie version isn't long enough.
I'm so glad you included the rest of Tolkien's lyrics
You guys are the best! No ones does Tolkien better!
The pitch shift on some of the verses are beautifully rendered. Absolutely stunning.
This is EPIC!! I've got my axe, my hammer and all my gold...I'm ready to go, ere the break of day, to take back the lonely mountain!!
Just stumbled across this after listening to the other for years! This is amazing! Cheers as always!
I’ve been listening to you guys since the beginning. And hearing this song again brought back a lot of good memories. Here’s to ten years of hearing you guys make awesome music and to hoping you guys do this for many more.🎉
This is an absolute masterpiece.
A work that surpasses it's predecessors and will likely not be matched by any to come soon!
