Recorded in my hometown, Milwaukee. The Hall was open the following night so the guys gave us another show. They advertised through a local FM station. Ticket price ? $ 1. 50. Seriously. Saw them every time they came to Milwaukee. We adopted those fellas as our own.
@@thomasremoryemory7270 Like the Skynyrd song “ You Got That Right”! I’ll take MTB over the Beatles any day. Saw the original Band live 3 times in the late 70s.. Toy Caldwell solos just rocked you.
Got to see the Tucker Band live about 20 times as a teenager (70s & 80s). I am a South Carolina native. I was also a high school marching band drummer, and Paul Riddle astounds me with his masterful timekeeping on this song.
This is one of the greatest Bands of all time. Have been listening to their music for years. Since the 70S . A hell of a lot of good memories. there will never be song writers like we had back then. When the music come from the hart. And it had hart and soul. You could feel the emotion.
Went to see mt in Cali and little river band headlining. Lrb faled to show on the predicate that they lost their equipment. Mtb played an awesome show and my friends and i smoked pot and got drunk.😮. Lol

Still love ya but gonna call bullshit. Jimi Hendrix ring a bell? No argument about how good MTB is but put down that battle flag brother.... Elvin Bishop? Jerry Jeff was from jersey if I remember right, lol... Commander Cody from Michigan. Lot of great musicians from all over this country brother man. Oh yeah Little Feat as well....
@@greenhometony All great but all copycats and imitators. All American music has originated from the south and no one plays it better that people who grew up there. And I can say that because I did most of my growing up in Yankee Land.

DOUG GRAY....SUCH A POWERFUL VOICE...MARSHALL TUCKER BAND...SUCH A GREAT BAND...
This album never got the accolades it deserves. Fantastic. Just plain.... Fantastic
The rhythms alone of Toy's are just insane. What an amazing sense of timing he has with the rest of the band.
After almost 50 years, I still can't get enough of MTB. Only one other band has ever captured my soul the same way, The Beatles
I hate them wormy Beatles DONT use the Beatles in the same sentence with SOUTHERN ROCK! FACT!!!

All those people who you see every day staring down at their phone? I am certain they are not listening to this perfect wonderful song.
I am brother
How the drummer keeps track of that long run of 3rds during the solo... wow.

@greenhometony No disrespect, but them boys had to come South to make music. Jimi being the exception, of course.
@@garyjackson3531 You're incorrect. ALL members are South Carolina natives. Who's "Jiminy?"
