Not to try to compete, but I've got a version on reel-to-reel that I recorded from a live concert radio broadcast of Marshall Tucker opening for the Allman Brothers at the Oakland Coliseum ('75 or '76 or maybe even '77). Saw them in 72 in NY, Went to college in St Pete in 76, Brought MTB with me, My roommate was a Dead Head and I learned to love them too. Remember when the Hurricane (on the beach) was a shack and Shaddracks was famous since 74..in 76 ?LOL...
One of the best jams sessions ever recorded Marshall Tucker Band with Charlie Daniels there may be some as good but none better
I saw CDB in NYC in the early 80's. Might have been late 70's. Might have even warmed up MTB. I forgot the venue but Papa John Creach comes on for a set. WOW. We knew he was playing a midnight show at My Father's Place on Long Island and we rushed their after the show. Sure enough, Charlie was there playing along. The days when musicians were in it for the music....
Tommy's bass tone is sooo awsome !
Maybe the most under list underappreciated fact is .back in the day every one of your single members had to absolutely kick ass live... These guys were such monster players thank you for posting
I have t heard this songs in years! My brother just passed a week ago-I told him to send me a sign, that he was ok and this was it. He played this song in a band, like everyone did. RIP Bub, play on
Their Best Album...
this album broke them big time...
Enjoying the memories from my days in Houston in the mid 70s. Back home Weslaco, Texas now. Loving life in my late 60s.
Iowa Jam back in the eighties. Firefall. Pure Prairie League. Beer. Sunshine. "Hey, I think you guys better turn your Buddy over, he's looking a little toasty this side". Thanx Tucker
My granddaughters: Taylor Swift has a song that's 7 minutes long!
Marshall Tucker Band: Hold our beers.
😆
Toy..master of the major pentotonic!!!no other guitarist sounds like that.one of a kind
One of the best.
There are no words for toy’s bleeding and the overall funk that comes from this genius moment caught
If you’re listening to this in 2020 I love you!
2024...still great.....
These boys and Charlie Daniels were among the first TRUE Southern Rock bands in existence.. You bet they had a little3 country accent to their music, but then again, every country boy likes a little bit of rock and roll!!!! Miss all you boys big time!!! Crank up the amps in heaven boys, God Bless!!!
Best album ever
Yes I agree...
The very first LP to reach our record shops in Michigan at the time(early 70's)!!!!
why aint they in the rock and roll hall of fame? besides id put toy caldwell next to any guitar player
Rock n roll hall of fame is shit!! So many artists have been.overlooked. politics as usual. 😡
Toy is the bomb, I. Saw them with the Outlaws in Santa Cruz. 7 freaking guitars
fun fact, Toy picked with his thumb
@@mikedag1176 How is Donna summer in the hall of fame and others that never did a song that was Rock and roll

I just love this song brings back good memories
I was there . Brings back memories of how great it was to be a 16 yr old before the fing internet.
As the World of "South - Western - Rock -N- Roll Music" -- Go'e's
--- There is nothing better than this, And there will never be!!!
I love this damn song
I started moving on the first couple notes!
I forgot what a sweet jam this is!!!
Goosebumps….. this song is a southern rock anthem… timeless. When I need a pick me up I dial up toy and the boys on this one
Put this on, petal to the metal... best road trip song EVER!!!! Charlie and Toy trading licks and that bass solo in the middle. Classic!
I saw tucker& charlie in suny stony brook LI when they were nobody's and here we are
My favorite song by Marshall Tucker, saw them at least 3 times in Tulsa, Oklahoma!
got stoned with Daryl and Doug at Mercy HS to this...went to college in Syracuse; MTB were at the NY State fair in syracuse...mini ROADTRIP...Jack Daniels, Daryl, Doug....best times ever
"was" at the fair...shit(english major)
U were there. I poured jack d on u.
Get over it
1 of God's best music
Homage to Texas' US 59 (between Houston and Texarkana). Same Exact Road TV's Young Sheldon's GEORGE COOPER (Lance Barber) drives from Medford to get to Houston and back.
As far as as I’m concerned this band is the king of southern rock. Even the current roster of this band knows how to bring the house down.
Another underrated song and album from Perth Western Australia, just fantastic 👍👍👍👍👍👍👍🎸😀
Glad you're enjoying this...
the greatest, the best, the most amazing of an amazing band
I seen marshall tucker band in Wildcat football stadium 🏟️ Tucson Arizona, great,! Kenny Wiggins and Fleetwood Mac there Too!👀🎶🎵🎼🤠
We saw them do this with Charlie Daniels in Springfield Massachusetts in the early 1970s when we were in high school. Very high energy jam. Allman Brothers Band invented it, Marshall Tucker Band perfected it
I was 18 when they came to play a concert at the U of M. I have seen many concerts by many and varied talents. Nothing tugs the heart like Can't You See.
Love this song. Invariably I'd hear it on the St. Louis rock station (KSHE) while on my way from college to my hometown for a weekend. And invariably, I'd look down and realze that I was
suddenly going 90 miles an hour. What a sublime and wonderful jam!
Saw them three times in the "70s. Chest up against the stage. My all-time favorite song.
They blew Santana and the Doobie Brothers away in Houston 1974. What a live jam they put on. They opened the show and sounded so good.
Saw MTB at the galveston mardi gras in the early 2000's..Just awesome...
I LUV MTB but so sorry as "blowing away" Santana is simply an impossibility, man...
@@thegreenbird795 That was not the Marshall Tucker Band. A sad tribute band is all that was. Tommy died in 1980 and Toy in 1993. Without them, the band is nothing.
They opened for the Eagles in Champaign, Illinois, and nobody cared if the Eagles ever took the stage. They blew the roof off of Assembly Hall.
well ok but Doug was great on vocals@@awboat
Just amazing how tight these guys are!
I had a bootleg cassette of this album back in '88, or so, then lost it. Been lookin' for it ever since. Happy now.
Also God Bless Charlie Daniel's and Band
I saw Marshall Tucker many times!!! Can’t even count!!!!
How is it possible to get perfection from each individual LIVE ??
