Headset how can u say that a person is an anti-crist? You clearly don't know anything about alzheimer's. I work with patients who have alzheimer's and it's too devastating for me to watch them slowly forget everything they know. Your filthy mouth is the anti-christ.

That depends on what you define as pure, you see pure as the kid crying as a sign of compassion and sadness that the kid is sad for her knowing she's in pain while sometimes other peoples defenition of pure is the other kids, pure as in not knowing about the bad things being playful and young and not understanding how to react to someone with Alzheimers

Wholeheartedly agree. Its sad that as people grow older, they start buying into preconceived notions and the majority lose their innate, inborn connection with all humanity, falling into the entrenched and divided factions separated by race, religion, age, sex, etc...
I don't know if it was that child's parents, teachers, or who raised him to be so kind-hearted... All I can say is he seems to have a good head on his shoulders and I have how he will grow up and put that empathy to good use either though vocationally helping people, or just continuing to listen to people in need wherever he encounters them.
Cheers, and happy New Years to all the kids in the video, and most importantly; Those who are struggling with this life changing disease on this New Years. I wish all of you the best. ;-)

Alzheimer's is one of the saddest and scariest diseases to me.
I mean, who are we without our memories? We pretty much ARE our memories and Alzheimer's in a sense, is literally a disease that takes away everything that built you to be who you are.
And to think there is no cure and people just have to accept it while their loved ones watch... it's too tragic.

Alzheimer is a form of dementia, and there's actually more forms than only Alzheimer. Alzheimer is the most common form though, I always think it's heartbreaking to know that everyone with dementia will end up not being theirselves anymore :/ I've worked as a nurse for demented people and the ones who have already passed quite a few stages of the disease are just a shell of a human, it's so sad :(

My grandma has dementia and lives with us at the age of 85. It's really not that bad since she has vascular and she still seems like herself. The thing is dementia isn't really common in our family. It began after she went down to another family's house 2 years ago.

I think Alzheimer's is way worse for the family members that are around than for the patient him/herself, because they don't experience the severe memory loss consciously, and by the time they die from this desease they've pretty much become a vegetable. Dying from Alzheimer's is a more mercyful way to go than a fukkin stroke or ALS or cancer. If I had to chose between those options I'd definitely prefer Alzheimer's.

Selena Jetlee without empathy you'd be a psychopath or a sociopath. Empathy is important... sure people will use you and whatever... but at the end of the day, it's better if you're kind to people. There's not a lot of people who show that they care about other people in this world. You don't know, you could save someone by showing a small act of kindness.

Colleen C. I know that feeling, the same happened to my dad, at age 56. Just relax about ir, their memories go away from the most recent to finally reach the old ones. Now, he doesnt remember my name anymore, but still know who I am and call me his daughter.
And yeah, it hurts a lot, but you learn to cope with it. Just remember to make her comfortable and happy during the years, thats the best to do :)

Colleen C. I work with people who have dementia and many of them have no trouble recognising family and friends. Dementia affects your short to mid term memory so it depends on what "year she reverts back to" because basically the people's minds go back in time to wether she'll remember you.

She should do some research because that’s not true at all.

I take care of a 92 year old woman who has Alzheimer's. Having to constantly repeat myself over, and over, and over, again. It is literally, the most exhausting job ever! I always put myself in her shoes though. Imagine, living in this huge world, and you know absolutely no one. It's almost as if you're living in the dark. It's almost scary to think about. People with Alzheimer's, cannot even remember the people that they love the most. Also, people with Alzheimer's die because they forget the simplest things. They forget how to breathe in and out, and then they end up suffocating. Or, they will forget how to chew, and swallow.

MyVideoDiary If that lady was able to take a step out of Alzheimer's for a minuet she would be so grateful for everything you do for her! It is an extremely kind and caring thing to do! My great grandmother had Alzheimer's and I remember how hard it was talking to her and seeing her an hour or so a week! It was so upsetting. I am thankful though for all the people that cared for not only her but her loved ones and gave people so my support!

Scrolling down comments and almost everyone said their grandmother have Alzheimers while me, my mother had Alzheimers when she was 51 yrs old and as a teenager growing up watching my mother with Alzheimers breaks my heart so much.
    Rest in peace mom

I’m so sorry. That’s so so hard. My grandfather has Alzheimer’s and he is only getting worse. He is the most amazing man I’ve ever met, so determined, usually so happy. To see him in a nursing home, wanting to be free, not happy, absolutely breaks my heart. It’s a hard thing to deal with. I hope you’re feeling better by now

The boy at 4:40 makes me cry every time. Sometimes when I’m losing hope in humanity I watch that part to remind myself there’s still caring people in the world. Thanks kiddos!!❤️

mi mi iAgree & know what you mean. It's going on 2 minutes and I'm still crying. Heartbreaking but beautiful to see such a beautiful child exhibiting soo much empathy. My aunt has Alzheimer's & it's a sad thing to experience. Have a good week.
