I get nervous just watching this vid. I am currently 15 months off of benzos. It has been a terrible ride but was worth it. To remember when I was back in your state freaks me out. I had agoraphobia for 4 months. I could not leave the house. And then, it was gone.

When I got on diazapam, I should have taken 7.2mg, I took 5mg... it took me a few months to recover, but you are in a much better place then I was...although it was hell, I have no regrets...you definitely got this!!

I was on 6mg of Clonazepam a day, started in April my taper. Currently down to 0.25-0.25-0.50, L-Theamine and Glycine Magnesium has helped me a lot. In 2 years, I’ve tapered Brintellix 20mg and Seroquel 250mg to zero.
Thanks for sharing, take care 💪🏻

I hope you continue getting better and healing everyday. Can I ask if you would ever do a video on Zoloft ? Your experiences on this med when you started it and the benefits and side effects that come from the med.

Trust me. Its better to not rush it and make big cuts and then have to updose trying to push yourself to make it on a specific schedule. It's better to just take it slowly and not have to worry about updosing and go at a rate that your body allows. Trust me updosing back doesn't always work like expected. Do small cuts and keep it steady. This is the way.
Your other advice on mindset is pretty good though.

Believe me, I completely understand. I just went back up to more 1 mg. 2mg cut was too big lol. Thank you very much for the comment 😎

I just know I made the same mistake. Cutting too much too fast and then it became too much for me to handle(and I cold turkeyed 16mg of subutex after over a decade on it so I can handle quite a bit) and I updosed back and it still took me 2 months of holding to restabilize enough to start tapering again. So I basically just wasted months of suffering just to end up back where I was but with more symptoms than I had before it.

Totally understand l cut 5mg in December. Very bad on my part however l had no choice was being rushed by gp
I'm now allowed to go slow. Trust me l mean mega slow l am going . I had to hold late December to April. Cuts since then have been a tiny fraction.

Thank you for your positivity. I am having a hard time accepting what has happened to me therefore each cut scares me all over again. How did you get yourself to accept it?

Just focus on the future because it’s gonna be amazing. You just have to learn to accept with being uncomfortable sometimes. Also make sure you go nice and slow because I realized it’s not that bad when you go very slow.

Hi Elijah. Going to be starting with withdrawal from Xanax very soon. Your videos are very encouraging. I am a Christian too. Have you seen the video " a step by step strategy to get off your benzos by Dr Nicole Cain regarding a GABA bridge etc. Praying for you.

Oh good I was going to ask how to handle it I’m in menopause too. So this is going to be so hard! Exercise help with adrenaline or does that make it worse?

Exercise helps tremendously just don’t do heavy exercise. Walking and slight exercise is better. I can’t answer your question on menopause though.

    • @elijahsbenzojourney1705
      @elijahsbenzojourney1705  3 місяці тому +1

I would only recommend tapering one medication at a time because if you run into any issues tapering both, you won’t know which taper is causing an issue. Just remember slow and steady.

It’s very simple and not complicated but you have to do a crossover.

@elijahsbenzojourney1705 yeah just micro taper man, I've heard of people going into akathesia when they cut too fast. I know it sucks man, but just take it super slow. Best wishes my brother I know how you feel.
