** UPDATE: I went back to my normal dose. The 2mg cut was not that bad, but I don’t want to feel this again. I was starting to feel like I did a few years ago when I went through my hellish experience when I went cold turkey. It should take me a couple days to stabilize again. Once I am stable, I’ll make a new video. Lesson - TAPER SLOWLY
Dear Heavenly Father, i come before you and lift up Elijah to you, pleading the blood of Jesus over him and his wife and family...keep him safe...and protect him. In the name of Jesus I ask amen.
Elijah! Thank you for keeping us updated and thank you for sharing your journey. I too have come to the realization you were talking about. I've been with the symptoms so long that I just have to ride the wave. When I get depressed, I think of how far I've come. I spent essentially 2 + years with debilitating symptoms and pretty much bed ridden before switching to valium. I've tapered from (equivalent to) 80 mg of valium down to almost 15mg now. I'm able to stay functional by microtapering at a snail's pace. I force myself to get out and do things even if it makes me feel terrible. We WILL defeat this!!!
I know exactly how you feel!! I’m feeling the exact same way I made myself get up a few minutes ago I also went back up on mine a little as I think I took a bigger jump then I should have. We got this!
Oh man! I’ve been there! I’ve been off of benzodiazepines for 3 years in September. I got sober from alcohol at the same time. It was awful! It’s also totally worth it! I hope you feel better soon.
1mg cut is huge! It might just get worse. I think you should go back and just start with a smaller taper. This can possibly only get worse. I think you should go back immediately, there might still be time and then follow the Ashton Manual
Yeah man. This was a mistake. Yeah it'll pass eventually but it actually takes longer when you throw yourself into it deep than when you slow taper the way you were doing. You gotta take it easy on your nervous system. Especislly if you've already had akathisia. Once you have aka once it makes it easier to reignite it. You gotta be careful for the rest of your life. I was entirely off benzos 5 years and felt totally healed and reignited the akathisia with freaking kratom. And then back onto a benzo to make it stop. I also I figured this out the hard way and when I tried to updose back after tapering too fast, it took me 2 months of holding back at that dose to get back to somewhat stable enough to continue with the slow taper, and it's taken me another 2 months just to go from 10mg of V to 9.2mg because of how much I jacked up my central nervous system from the reinstatement and fast cuts and updoses.
Is it possible if you explain to me what tolerance withdrawal is? And what the symtpoms are? Do we get this in tapering? If you have a video on that? Thankyou
Tolerance withdrawal occurs when you continue taking the same dose, but it no longer provides the desired effect, and you begin experiencing symptoms once again. In such cases, you’ll need to increase your dose once more. To make the tapering process smoother, it’s advisable to begin on a dose that allows you to remain stable and then gradually reduce your dosage.
Does anyone experience crazy heart palpitations and skipped beats? I have those everyday it freaks me out. I don’t see allot of people talking about those symptoms makes me feel im alone in this.
@@elijahsbenzojourney1705 thanks for replying to me! But the thing I’m worried about most is i have these symptoms for a long time and I’m still on benzos haven’t start my taper yet. I can’t even imagine how bad those heart palpitations are gonna be when I start
Hi Elijah mean while what benzo you are in for taper with how much mg I am from India I cross tapered from clonazepam 0.25 to 5 mg diazepam as per ashton manual and it's now 26 days...and I am also on antidepressant 125mg of fluvoxamine amisulpride 25mg and pregabalin 50mg today only started seeing your videos...just curious 🧐
I started close to 35mg of Valium and worked myself down. I’ve been on benzos for about 15 years now. Since you crossed over, it sounds like you just need to keep holding for your dose. I would not taper yet until you start to feel better.
So much of intrusive thoughts 💭🤔 and some times it's weird and heck the doctors here in India doesn't know de- prescribing and play with us same symptoms as yours like unrealistic feelings are we in different world ....i didnt taper any other medicine say ssri or antipsychotic or pregabalin..may God give you strength...i am on melatonin supplement of 3 mg which aids me in sleep ..
@@miniholmes5148Correct. I’m just using myself as a test to see what works and what doesn’t work so I can show people. DO NOT do what I’m doing. If you are currently micro tapering, keep doing that. I am going back to micro tapering though because that is the best method I have found.
@@elijahsbenzojourney1705 I plan to go 1mg per 40 days reduction of diazepam say 5 4 3 2 1 as in India i have 2 mg and 5 mg and 10 mg valium so to go for 4 mg i have to take 2 tablets of 2 mg and then for 3 mg take one tablet of 2 mg and 1/2 tablet of 2 mg and then for 2 take direct 2mg and then atlast 1/2 mg of 2mg. this is how I planned.

You’re doing absolutely fantastic. Just keep focused and keep moving forward slowly. 👍🏻

Congrats. Awesome to hear that. I will meet you there soon. lol
Ashton Manual on Benzo withdrawal
I’m well-versed on the Ashton Manual.
1mg cut is huge! It might just get worse. I think you should go back and just start with a smaller taper. This can possibly only get worse. I think you should go back immediately, there might still be time and then follow the Ashton Manual
I’m taking a day by day and I most likely will.
You have a great attitude man it will pass! Maybe try a .5mg taper next time
PS I went bald at 19 it totally sucked but your hair looks great compared to me haha
lol. Thx bro
Ummm i went into psychosis and paranoia around my period tapering lexapro. Im so sad I ever went on this med.im slowing down my taper. God bless.

I don't know how to keep it together. I am water microtapering. Why do the small cuts affect me so? I am older & malnourished?
Hope you feel better!❤
Do you ever hold?
Am in tolerance & make small cuts every 2 to 3 weeks. I am totally depersonalized depressed & feel ask is this possible to do for me?
You should try doing a micro taper instead of a cut every 2 to 3 weeks. This method is much easier on your body.
Does anyone experience crazy heart palpitations and skipped beats? I have those everyday it freaks me out. I don’t see allot of people talking about those symptoms makes me feel im alone in this.
This is very normal. This is part of my taper. When I have this and other symptoms, I hold and everything levels out.
