I am using cell phone 📱
Lumix G7 14-140mm and Huawei P30 with DJI Osmo 3
iphone 12 pro
Currently using a T6i with a Sigma 18-35/1.8.
I use a cell phone or an entry level Kodak :)
I recently bought a white balance card for $15 bucks and it was a great investment because it helps me to get my white balance perfect before recording. The key to getting better at filming yourself is getting some quality lighting and understanding white balance, exposure, and aperture and how they all work together. Happy creating and good luck to everyone on your journey!
I recently bought a white balance card too. It has proved a very good investment.
@@potentialreality Absolutely !
Any videos you recommend to help learn about these things?
@@Djmatch93 DSLR Video Shooter & Gerald Undone.
Checked my recommended and didn't even realize this was JUST uploaded. Yet again, Think Media proves to be very helpful in a high quality, straightforward video. Thanks. I live alone and have been a solo creator for over 11 years...and while a good bit of these I've self-learned, there was a good bit that I didn't actually think of yet. Thanks so much guys!
Awesome, glad it helped!!
Thank you so much!!! Im currently putting my makeup on for film day today and I love listening to your videos while I get ready for batch filming. Being a solo creator can be difficult but these simple tips really make the day go so much smoother. Thanks for the fantastic content as always! Have a fantastic day guys
Awesome, of course!
Great tips. I think the shot list is the best of the tips you provided, it applies to all people who have BRoll. Thank you!! Planning shots in advance is important.
Very informative, well paced, & great Outro into the next video. Thanks for the great video!
These tips are really great for a solo creator! Well done!! 👏
200k+ subscribers and still learning some amazing tips & tricks thanks to this channel…. LOVE that GoPro chest mount idea
Thank you. Appreciate all tips especially getting coverage, creating a list, and investing in yourself. Well done.
Thanks!
Love the pole idea for your room and adding the lights and mic etc
A lot of helpful stuff in this video! Thanks a lot!
Such good advice for an up and coming UA-camr. Thanks 🙏
This was so helpful, the validation I need to start doing these things consistently. Epidemic sound has also helped me, but the only think bad about it is that you basically need to keep paying for their service forever or your videos will be demonetized.
Correct me if I’m worng, but ; when you pay the rights, publish the video and you stop the contract - there is no reason to demonetize the video?
@@letstalk6951 if you had an account when posting then it's all good
Definitely shooting myself has given me alot of *experience and confidence in front of the camera :)*
Another Think Media video helping us creators up our game 💯 Thanks TM 💯
Nolan you never disappoint! Yes to checking your filming before you get halfway into the video and realize the audio isn’t on!
It's the worst 😂
Love all the tips! 👍👍
I took notes! I’m a solo creator myself. I made the biggest mistake of filming without testing the present audio setup which was new. Now I’m working around it to make it sound good.🤦♀️ thanks for the tips!
Still struggling to take action and this video is just what I needed. Thank you!
Thanks! You've got this!!
I love this tips! I do the cameras, lights, microphone and editing myself and everything that can help me to improve is welcome! ☺️ I wish I can leave a set up though! My kitchen is where I film and wouldn’t work if I leave all my gear there. Thank you for sharing your knowledge!
You got it!
So many tipsssssss. Can’t wait to implement
Thats why i need to improve my style for vlogging and i need to create a cinematic shots. Thank you sharing this video.
I had never thought of shooting in high quality for cropping, will definitely try this for my future videos
Nolan man I appreciate all you do for us!! You are one of heck of a creator.. y’all are the best!
Thanks so much!!
Think media, i love how you put more clarity on what know
Nolan, you are my FAVORITE at Think Media man. Great job explaining!
that means alot, thank you!!
Love this video. Thanks guys!
Great tips for starters! Very well done!
We got this guys! Dont give up. This is gonna be our year!
After I lost everything i worked for on UA-cam after being nuked and I've been watching you to grow and surpass my previous subs etc. Thanks bro! You've helped so much
Glad to hear it, keep crushing!
Awesome, stuff. So helpful thank you again! :D
Wow nice ♥️ thank you for sharing such a valuable information 🔥🔥🔥it's so much helpful🚀🚀🚀
I struggle with all this in my daily vlog. But I can always tell the difference when I put in the extra work.
I saw the easter egg 😅 and yes I have been using the notes app to help organize my videos but I never thought about a shot list , great tip 👍🏾
So good as always!
These videos is the thing we need
A great video. Thanks for these tips
Thanks for the solo tips! I currently record everything and edit myself! It’s tough but I honestly sometimes enjoy doing it myself 😅
Nice! Keep crushing it!!
Story blocks was a total lifesaver!
Awesome tips 👏😊 Ty
Really useful tip and tutorial. Thanks
Thank You ❤️
*I like Tips for Solo Creators as Most whom including Myself are Solo Creators, but tips like this are VERY valuable as I expect from Think Media*
You always give really good advice in your videos! I'm working on getting better lights for mine but it's so hard to shoot by yourself. Thanks for the tips!! :))
Glad we could help! Keep crushing it!!
Nolan, you have improved so much since joining Think. I love watching the team grow. Can I ask what band that is on your Apple Watch...it makes it look kind of like a GSHOCK... loves that. I am currently looking for a rolling desk where I can build my all-in-one battle station here in 2022...so tired of big clunky lights stands and a folding table from 2019.
Great tips. A shot list is definitely something I need to incorporate. I saw The Easter Egg.
I saw the Easter 🐣 Egg! Lol!!! Great info, great suggestions, and wonderful content 😀 👏🏽
Ayeeeeeee
Awesome tips for a solo creator!
Awesome video man! this is very helpful, I'm a little bit hesitant about subscribing to the storyblock but now I I will, after watching this video.
Thank you!
I saw the Easter egg.
Thanks for the helpful tips!
Here's something I do that would help people that don't have a flip out screen like you said in tip 1 (I do have a flip screen, but the camera is too far away for me to do anything while in front of it). If you know where you want to stand/sit to record, you can put something tall enough right in that spot, and pull focus on that from the behind the camera. I use my desk chair with a wooden stool on top of it, then put something I can focus on, on the stool. Then I pull my focus until that object is in focus. Since it's directly where I'll be standing/sitting, I know that I will be in focus when I start recording.
great video and information!!!!
Thanks for sharing.
Love ur videos buddy ❤️
Thanks for always being so helpful, is there a budget friendly camera that I can start with? possibly with a monito flip
If you have an iPhone and a Apple Watch you can start / stop, frame and adjust zoom and focus from your watch.
is iphone better than android because i dont really like restrictions that apple gives
@@RPP_TV I have a cooking channel so not the right person to ask about all tech, just sharing what I have / use for tip one about being able to frame your shot, focus and start / stop recording which I do with my watch and phone and it works great for me vs a dedicated camera with a flip screen.
That's why I love Think Media. Best tips in really short video. Maybe I will upload some irl vids in the future idk. I'll think about it
Great tips, as always! I haven't moved on to filming yet, but am definitely thinking about it!
Awesome share! I love Storyblocks as well! Keep up the great work! ~SSS
You should!
You can do it!
Yeap, did it now it comes to the video editing 🙏👍❤️ And downloaded the sounds efects recommended by tou!!!!
Thanks for all the tips! I love the idea of writing down all of the shots you need to grab for b-roll. That’s definitely my weak point because I’m usually filming 3 videos in one sitting, and by the time I’ve filmed all 3, it starts to get dark outside 😂 Canadian content creator problems!
Ah, yes that can be hard!
Great tips
I saw the mudafuggin' easter egg! Thank you so much for all the content you share, they are very helpful to me as an introvert entrepreneur
Did my first video with a script and shot list last week. Will do bullet points in the future, it didn't feel natural doing script. But shot list was golden. Yea, after 173 videos, I tried planning, lol
Thanks Think Media
Great Video! 👍🏾
This is such good info. Practice makes perfect, you have to keep doing it over and over. Do some fine tuning as you go. There is ALWAYS room for improvement!
Thats right!
"So fresh and so clean clean!" 😂
owesome content, thank for share my dear friend
Thank you so much for the awesome tips. I record with my iPhone and it’s so hard to see if I’m actually recording and there have been times where incompletely miss 2-3 minutes worth of footage. What monitor did you show in the video when showing the iPhone example?
Awesome 👍
I saw the Easter egg! Great video ;-)
Great tips! Tried the crop in with my GoPro hero 8 in 4K but for some reason it still looked grainy.
Saw the Easter 🐣 egg. Good tips 👍
Great video
Which portable is the one you got? The monitor?
Thanks
Can you provide the list for mentioned that you tick off to ensure you got all your shots. Great video
Helpful video 👍
I have a Sony A6600 . What kind of lens do you recommend for your setup? What kind is your light and where did you get that pool and stands for the cámara, microphone, etc.
Great video, I was just wondering what song is being used? I've been trying to find this for the longest lol.
Awesome
Thanks for the info…. Btw, I saw the Easter egg😉
I saw the Easter egg. Great video!
Good Video quality
Great video! What mic model was the sennheiser you are using?
Quick tip for all who just go and order a NinjaV or an even more expensive monitor. Chances are you got a monitor at home already (because you cannot edit your video without a screen lol) just plug the hdmi cable into your pc monitor and your good to go - no extra cost and a bigger screen - at least that's the best advice I would give you when filming at home!
I’m using my iPhone 13 Pro to shot video and make content. Can you recommend me a good mic and light for iPhone setup? Your video always awesome bro 👏🔥. Wish you can do a full video of your iPhone setup 😉
Great tips, I'm going to restart my UA-cam channel so it's really helpful for me right now
By the way - I saw the Easter egg! ;)
I saw the Easter egg! Greetings from Germany!
What is the contraption that you wear around your neck to video making a coffee? I love that idea!
Which video editing software do u use on a regular basis. I currently use imovie but I'm thinking of 'investing in myself' as you say. I have a MacBook Pro. Would you recommend Apples Final Cut video editor?
What type of lighting do you recommend? Which light do you have in this video? Thanks
I need info on that watch. Is that an apple watch? If so, what's the strap and case combo? Looks really nice
I saw the Ester egg. That’s so 😎
Love your couch.. Can you put up a link for me? Thank you
You say you could use the GoPro mouth mount with your phone. I've looked up the product but I don't see a phone clamp. Would you have to buy an additional piece? How would you do this? Thanks!
This was helpful thank you! Do you have any suggestions for filming from above? I make crafting videos and have to film from overhead. The only way I can make it work is to have my stand and camera across from me. Then I have to flip all my videos and images around when I edit. Honestly this is kind of a pain. Do you have any suggestions on how to set up an overhead shot using a camera and a tripod? Thank you for any help you can provide! 🙂
Check out this boom /clamp setup ua-cam.com/video/uVXpXeDsAGM/v-deo.html
@@ThinkMediaTV This was amazing! Thank you so much for the suggestion! 🤗
I wish they included product links to all the gear they’re using like the mouth piece and phone external monitor. I’m all for impulse buys! 😁
I will add those in later!
@@nolanmolt Sweet! Thanks!
@@nolanmolt interested to buy that boom pole or mic stand that the Sennheiser MKE 400 is mounted on. Great video 👍🏼
@@nolanmolt Did I miss something somewhere in the description? I can’t find it, sorry to bug you about this again.
Nice a7siii man. Here at my local will be cost 5k dollars 😆 omg
