All'ultima canzone hanno suonato con le maschere di Halloween e alla fine hanno fatto salire sul palco un loro tecnico italiano con la pancia tipicamente italiana e James gli ci ga dato due schiaffi in amicizia sopra e gli ha alzato il braccio. ricordo che ci sono andato con un mio amico d'infanzia e un suo amico di zona. Arrivati al concerto accompagnati da un adulto ( avevamo 15 anni tutti quanti) c'erano metallari ovunque che circondavano l'arena. Non c'erano solo metallari semplici con capelli lunghi e basta ma anche dark, black metallers con capelli lunga , croce rovesciata al collo e trucco intorno agli occhi. Erano tutti per la maggior parte drogati , chi di spinelli,chi di coca, chi di entrambe ma anche trip di LSD ( francobolli) ricordo che fu difficile trovare un angolo dove non c'era qualcuno che si stava facendo un qualcosa. Il concerto duro' quattro ore e rotte scandite da un break a metà scaletta ( 15 minuti, un po' come stare al cinema quando arrivò il fine primo tempo).il mio amico di infanzia tirò fuori della sostanza marrone( era hashish) che non avevo mai visto prima facendomi avere così il primo contatto visivo con quella roba. Fumarono spinelli per tutto il tempo e ricordo che lui si mise a fare un gioco con gli occhi tirandoli tutti in su tirandosi fuori la parte superiore rissa interna. Una cosa molto impressionante. Quando avemmo sentore che stavano uscendo da dentro per aprire i cancelli tutti quanti ci alzammo in piedi e cominciammo a spingerci in avanti facendoci male e un gruppetto davanti a noi iniziò a canticchiare in coro: "La mamma di Damiano è una puttana"a buffo al quale ci aggregammo tutti quanti facendola riecheggiare pur non sapendo chi fosse minimamente questo Damiano. Credo che pure i Dream theater siano arrivati con l'orecchio ad udire il nostro coro. Ricordo che non ce la feci ad assistere tutto il tempo a quell'incredibile scarica di volts a quei volumi tant'è che dovetti uscire e recarmi negli spazi esterno alla parte interna dell'Arena per riprendermi e godermi il resto del concerto. Ricordo che a un certo punto mi persi i miei amici e che assistetti alla continuazione del concerto da solo. All'uscita faceva abbastanza freddino e ci avrebbe di nuovo riaccompagnato un adulto. Ricordo che il mio amico di infanzia mentre noi eravamo stravolti e stanchi era molto sveglio attivo . Il padre lo guardò cosciente che forse avesse assunto cocaina. RICORDI DI UNA GIOVENTÙ INFERNALEEEEEEEHHHHH!!!!!!!
Lol why hate james labrie bro? I feel that he is as important to the sound of the band as all of the other members. People keep claiming that the band isn't the same anymore without Portnoy but imagine how DT would sound without James Labrie?
What a great sound! Very sweet and that is one serious drum kit and all was good. Great guitar playing and great drums and awesome vocals. Very cool stuff.
@MrGuilhermeSanches I am sure DT members agree with you guys, although they have made Mangini family now, but it was never their decision for portnoy to leave. Someday 20 years from now, you may see portnoy doing a gig with DT again, that day will be epicness in itself, and we will witness brothers meet again!!!
You know, I never liked guys like Paul Gilbert, John Petrucci and Joe Satriani only for the playing. It's like 40% is for their playing, but 60% is to the kind of people they are. They don't show off, they don't attack others, they only make beautiful music so they can express their feelings, beside being amazing people. And you know what? Let them have a mistake or another, they're still my heroes in music.
This is called a mistake. Everybody makes it sometimes. Even Mr. Petrucci has to do some time to time to prove he is a human. Nothing to drive you nuts, this is the soul of live performance, each is different.
@MrMnM14 No... it happens the same in a live of "the count of tuscany" but that's not one john's error, it's a little matter in the frets(I don't know how to explain; it happens when the wood part with on the frets is not straight with guitar body, so in some frets you play both 2 semitones toghether) ... Don't worry, god loves us all and forgives us as we'll forgive the guitar's defect
