This is so incredibly helpful! I threw out my back a few days ago and had to call an ambulance to take me to the er because I’d been lying on the floor for 12+ hours and could not get up. It was frightening! I can tell that these tips will be a huge help 🙏

When my back "goes out" I cannot get off my hands and knees due to severe spasms. On a few occasions I have manipulated my back where I feel something pop and I can immediately stand up with no pain whatsoever. Something moves in my back!

you probably need to make is stronger. find a really good physical therapist, personal trainer, or even chiropractor that will focus on rehab.

Threw my back out twice tying my shoe and coughing. Not lifting my wife, kids or an engine.

Mine used to go out while lifting heavy objects. Then it started going out while tying my shoes. As time progresses, mine would go out easier and easier. It now goes out when I lean forward to eat while sitting.
Have you had an MRI done?

@@hrsey71 Yeah...thats a huge no-no. Sitting while bending forward is what contributed to some of my worst disc herniations. I learned that lesson. If you have a big gut like i do, when you bend while sitting forward, you put an immense load/weight on the discs. Never do that again (and i mean never). I used to sit pretzel style and lean forward all the time. I stopped doing that and the amount of times my back went out lessened to about now where the occurences of my back going out has gone to 0 since I started stretching and doing standing back bends daily. I read a book called treat your own back by Robin A Mackenzie. Lots of press ups and standing back bends. No more pain. Press ups are good for a freshly thrown out back (lol). I'm not a doctor though so don't think this is any actual medical advice. Just my experience. Look up press ups for back pain.

@@bobdoyle5945 Sometimes that happens. I reccomend you read a book called "Treat your own back", by Robin A Mackenzie. It helped me eliminate 95% of my back pain. If for whatever reason you can't get the book, just youtube search Mackenzie Stretches. The stretch that helped me out the most and straightened me out after having a crazy antalgic lean (sciatic scoliosis) was the Mackenzie press up. Also known as the cobra position in yoga.
