- Today, we're diving into a heartwarming Tuscan-style recipe that's perfect for those cozy, cold, and wet days when you need something to warm your soul. We start by chopping up onions, leeks, carrots, celery, and zucchini, along with roughly cut kale leaves. In a heavy-bottomed pot, we sweat these veggies with oregano and garlic, infusing the kitchen with tantalising aromas.
Now, here's the twist: the Tuscan connection with my flair. This recipe takes its inspiration from the rustic kitchens of Tuscany, where hearty soups like this are a staple. Tuscans have been masters of turning humble ingredients into culinary masterpieces for centuries, and this dish is no exception. The use of beans, tomatoes, and fresh herbs harks back to the region's rich culinary heritage.

Onion is toxic for dogs, so no soup but he gets well looked after even off camera.
@@recipe30 Good Morning to YOU & your puppy dog ☺️! I have heard that Onions & Garlic are Toxic for Dogs. My parents have been giving people food to our dogs for many years. With that being said, I do the same. With All Due Respect, I appreciate dog owners to feed theirs what & how they feel is Best for them 🥰. My brother had a dog that would jump @ his spare refrigerator in the garage until it slightly rocked. On top of it was where he kept Onions & Potatoes. Yes, an Onion & Potato here & there; his dog did get & munch on. THANKFULLY, he didn't suffer any Health Issue consequences 🙌. I had a Doberman Pinscher. He stole a One Pound Chocolate Easter Bunny & left the wrapper. I was very close to a Vet trip & monitored him closely. Happy ending, his stool was quite runny for awhile (🤢🤢), but he was fine. I've also heard that Chocolate is Fatal for dogs. My personal opinion is comparative to those having Peanut/Nut allergies - Children, as well as, adults. Not Everyone is allergic to Peanuts/Nuts, & some outgrow it. Therefore, I believe; not ALL dogs have a reaction/toxicity
as a result of consuming certain foods. I've done research & have discovered different opinions/answers. On the average a 40 # dog would have to eat/consume/ingest ONE CUP of Onions. That being a Toxic Dose, it COULD POTENTIALLY be harmful. My dogs average between 60 - 100 #'s. If I can eat it, they eat it 😂😂. If it's frozen Grapes (I LuvLuvLuv them😋), yes, they indulge in 2 or 3. I have heard dogs can't have grapes 😞.
Anything in moderation, all across the board; has served us Over The Top 🥰🥰.

Your videos are artwork and your recipes are fabulous. I love this soup but even though I trained as a plant-based chef, I keep imagining it with cubes of old fashioned ham. Either way, wonderful and nutritious. I’ll let you know if I try the carnivore’s version.
