  • Joakim Noah reminisces about the Derrick Rose Bulls and how injuries stopped them. The early 2010s Bulls had the MVP Derrick Rose, an All-Defense caliber Joakim Noah, a gritty Carlos Boozer, a dangerous Loul Deng and they were never healthy enough to make that leap into the Finals.

    It hurts. All they needed was a secondary scorer to Rose and in a few years Butler would develop into just that but by then it was too late. But even with a shell of D-rose they nearly went up 3-1 on the Cavs. A healthy Rose, Butler, Noah, and Pau Gasol would have been a hell of a team to contend with.

      Bulls should’ve won that series and played the warriors in the finals. Blatt called a timeout they didn’t have and lebron are the games winner because of that. That 2015 bulls was our best chance, we were so we’ll rounded. Jimmy and rose backcourt with pau and Gasol twin tower front court, and add a streaky mike dunleavy at the 3 with a decent bench. We got robbed

    • @Xrayballer88
      @Xrayballer88 4 роки тому +35

      @Robert Phillips Warriors wouldn't have "destroyed" the Bulls in the '15 finals. That series goes at least six games like it did with the Cavs missing two of their top three players that series. The Bulls played the Warriors well during the W's early dynasty years, primarily because the Bulls had Noah and Gasol. The Warriors' main weakness was size, which is why many of their early dynasty losses came against teams that had a Gasol.

    I loved that team man, but we all know Booze was a huge liability and the weak link in thibs system. Yeah he could give you decent offense and some rebounds but that team was one of the best ever defensively but sometimes the team defense would break down due to boozes poor rotation and defensive court vision. Again I loved at times but Rose had to save that team offensively so many times. I always felt they should’ve put Taj in the starting lineup back when Booze was the starter. But he cost them alot of money so I guess there was some pressure playing him🤷‍♂️

    • @micaheldey1981
      @micaheldey1981 4 роки тому +8

      Presto all facts. Boozer was the weak link. Rose was over used and Kover never hit shots in the playoffs when needed. Taj should have started imo, but the team needed another capable ball handler in the starting lineup the most. That’s why the Heat could trap Rose and not pay. Truth is BG and Rose were a nightmare together. Too bad they couldn’t keep him.

    • @micaheldey1981
      @micaheldey1981 4 роки тому

      Customer Service they paid Deng. I love Deng but Jimmy would have been a good replacement in time. After they let BG go they never could never find a adequate guard next to him. They had great chemistry, we saw how they pushed Boston. No doubling Rose without paying with BG.

Celtics 2009 playoffs game 6 when Noah had that fast break dunk in triple OT, and I’ll say this as someone that had been at probably 150 Bulls games and another 100+ Blackhawks game, that was the loudest I ever heard the UC.
