    I got a new horse and I am working with bonding with him! He’s great! My other horse and I have the best out of all our horses! When she sees me she comes right to me and follows me! I love her but she is very old. She is 30 now she’s in great shape but more of a companion! She can be ridden by small kids, walk and trot! She’s also is ridden by kids with disabilities. Thank you for this video! I am definitely trying some out for my new horse!

    Here's Titleist and I's story. I've had Titleist for about five months now. He's seven, and most of his life he's been sitting in a huge pasture with about five other horses. The first day I took my truck and trailer out to the pasture, (I had just bought him and was going to pick him up.) I drove in with my trailer, expecting to get in and right out. No. That's not how it worked at all! I spent over three DAYS trying to catch the gelding! He would not let me within twenty feet of him! I had a friend who tried to help, but didn't succeed. Eventually, I went out there by myself, no other people. It took me a whole three hours maybe, the fourth day, but I did eventually get him in the trailer. Lot's of feed and coaxing! But we had done it! Titleist was brave and let me get a halter on him and lead him into the trailer. I took him back home, where is let him get used to his surroundings. For weeks, he was the most skittish horse I've ever come across. Did not liked to be touched at all! Hated humans! It took about a month for me to get to properly groom him, and many more for him to tolerate me. But six months later, Titleist and I have a bond that's so strong, it's crazy! He comes to me when I call, and he comes running to the gate when he sees my car coming up the driveway! He only tolerates me though. He won't let anyone but me near him. But the best day was when he let me ride him. I sat in the saddle for the first time and felt a bond so strong. I was so shaken up, in a good way, and literally cried. Bonding with a horse is the greatest feeling ever! Titleist and I have come so far in our journey together, and I couldn't be more proud. Titleist is a 16.5h Tennessee Walker who was abused. He was shown at a young age, but apparently wasn't "good enough" so they tossed him out to pasture for five years where he had no contact with people. That's how quick we bonded! Thanks for reading! Just thought I would share my little journey with my big boy! Loved your video! You are a great person

    I take lessons and i’m training a horse at my ranch who was originally abused. Im 14 and I completely agree! When I first started riding him he had absolutely NO trust for people. I could barely walk into his stall without him freaking out and shaking. So when I would get him I would give him lots of live and treats and lunge him in the round pen which helps LOTS and them would just sit in the middle of the round pen and let him walk around. 2 months ago when I started he would be terrified of me to even be in the round pen with him, he would gallop around and spook and only 2 months later now he wont even walk around the round pen unless I go with him. He nickers if he can’t see me and its so amazing how he could transform in such a short amount of time!

    I had one horse yet since today' two as before I ever even loaned we all start somewhere I started at a riding school after being there years I started working summers there. There was an amazing horse that I loved and we all had or ones that we'd tack and spend our free time with and she was mine. But over the years I got my own horse and spent less time at the school but then I heard they sold her because she could only be rode by the more experienced riders, and they wanted plods who could be rode by anyone but she had spirit. However today I ran my mother asking her why she sent me a text saying guess what then she told me and I nearly broke down😂. However the owner imbetween me and her time at the school screamed at her. So she now when she's brushed she thumps her legs as a warning which is a problem as we got her covered in muck and hair, it seemed she hadn't been brushed for months it was the worst I've ever seen. I stood with a metal sweat scrape for a good 10 Minutes then used a magic brush and this took around 40 minutes and all I did was her sides. So I think she remembers me but I hope she does. I'm just Bonding with her. We've decided that because random kids would run up to her and grab and brush and ride her we are going to keep it just to me riding and tacking and brushing so she knows she can relax abit but what we are thinking is putting toys in the stable to reduce her stress levels.but she is an amazing horse and hoping to ride by Saturday. But taking it slow.

    There was a crazy unpredictable chestnut mare that I was terrified of and she would not listen to me at all and she was scared of the far side of the ring where there was woods. After I finished my work I spend time with her and I did a lot of groundwork. By the time my lesson came she learned that she couldn’t trust me to get her past that corner safely. I fell in love with another horse that is not mine. Evan if that horse almost killed me.

    Hey Hannah😊 I am going to be getting a horse in the future and I'm wondering if you have any tips on fence, feed, or anything in general. Also, how many hands is blue jeans? That looks like a good size of horse for me 😀 Thank you😄😄 And I love the video 😃 it gives me a lot of things that I will probably do! ☺️

      JumpingJellybeans 11 just a tip do not get a horse based on breed or color base it on temperent does it rear or buck height can alsi be a problem but im gessing your around the age of 10_13 so i would recommenf heights 14 hh such as blue jeans -16 hh cause 17 hh can be too tall and 13 is to tiny you can not grow out of a horse like you do shose

    • @juliapicard8438
      @juliapicard8438 7 років тому +2

      JumpingJellybeans 11 I own three, it matters your height and your strength. Doesn't matter color and breed like she said. Because a Ottb can act like a qh.so have atleast five in mind and check them out

    • @jumpingjellybeans1121
      @jumpingjellybeans1121 7 років тому

      Equine Forever thank you very much😁 I was thinking around that height because my neighbors have horses and i was going to get one around their size which is around 15.2-15.3 hands. Thank you for the tips i appreciate them 😁

    • @SimplyHal27
      @SimplyHal27  7 років тому +7

      Hey! Thank you! Bluejeans is 14hh. The feed/care will depend on the horse, so it's hard to recommend feed. ♥

    • @scarlet8932
      @scarlet8932 7 років тому

      JumpingJellybeans 11 I would definitely recommend 12/8. It is not covered in sugar like sweet feed so it is better for the horses. It also has 12% protein and 8% fat which is very nutritious. And as far as supplements go, I love the smartpak Smartcombo Ultimate. It is pricey but worth it! If it is too expensive, I'd probably recommend biotin and MSM but you definitely need to ask your vet what your horse needs. Hope this helps!😄

    When I begin to lease my horse I am going to go out to the stables like 4 days a week 3 days to go hang out with the horse and have him see me as his leader and best friend forever. Next week I am taking him to go graze and just pet him and give him a few treats so he begins to see me as "She may ride me but she still loves me" and maybe ride once so we can still bond a bit on riding but I definitely want Hollywood (my horse) to respect me and love me as much as I love him when I arrive to the stable I am going to get my horse to go on a mini walk and go grazing and give them a few treats and then go ahead and brush them down really nice and pick their hooves then ride a bit and then go bareback and then go on a little walk afterwards and give him more treats going to graze just building a relationship with him 🖤

    Hi Hannah I have been watching your videos for quite a while now and I just love them!! I share|Lease a horse called Legacy she is the best horse I have ever met and have suffered laminitis twice!! I started riding her 2 years ago but only started actually sharing her this year in May!! She is not fully mine but I can still do all this stuff with her!! I’m so lucky to have her paddock right next to my house and I visit her everyday even if it is just for cuddles!! I wanted to know if you could do a video related to “overcoming the fear of horses feet!!” I know it’s kinda a weird topic but since legacys feet are healing more they are quite big and I don’t wanna seriously hurt me or my sister if she is around Legacy!! Please answer and luv your vids xxx 💗

    I did do riding lessons and still do actually but what happened was my trainer had a surprise for me so I went out saddled up Sparky (my horse) and my trainer said "we're going on a trail ride!" and I'm real exited cuz I've only been in the arena and in her paddocks, and she had been keeping this secret surprise for quite a while but, what I didn't know was she had another surprise for me... she gave me Sparky and I'm like no what no you didn't she's you're pony you said you wud never give away but she did!! I've got a question: I started leasing my mare a few months ago and we are on a time limit because of Corona. I'm supposed to just ride her, nothing else usually so I don't really know how to form a bond with her. She is a lesson horse so she is pretty grumpy and gets tired pretty easily if u try to do something simple with her. What should I do?
    (Just watched the video and I understand this is more towards owners but I'll leave the question out there! :3)

    Their are horses at the park in my town because people can keep them in a pen their but I go there regularly and they are not getting enough food or water their skinny I gave them grass and they had no water which in Texas they need water it’s hot here so I gave them food and water but I’m trying to build trust because I don’t think they like people very much. I feel so bad for them. I’m trying to help though. 😁😁❤️❤️

    I’m watching this because I have a mare that has no trust for humans because the last people that had her didn’t have time for her so she just sat in the field so I’m trying to find videos to help her trust again.

    My friend told me the other day that as soon as she gets her first horse she is going to ride it like 5 hours a day. I told her she shouldn’t even ride the horse until you are bonded and have trust. I said you should wait at least a week till you ride it.

      @Gwen 1000 its been a year since u posted this comment but just incase i'd like to say that maybe you should bring treats with you and give them to her until she is happy and runs up to you. ( But still give her treats just incase she realises she doesn't get more treats when she behaves well. )

    hey, it would mean the world if you reply,
    I got my horse a month ago, and at the start she would occasionally nip, but was still sweet. then she would get better and be an angel. now, she is trying to bite me, puts her ears back at me, and shes acting like she hates me. I don't know what to do!

      Sit tight and enjoy the horsie time you're able to have for now. The horse ownership will work itself out, just do your best in riding and one day you'll be able to spend hours on end at the stables with your new partner. When you're just taking lessons it's limited on what you can do, but with a horse of your own you can work towards whatever you want, no matter if that's liberty training and tackless trail riding, showing regularly in hunter-jumper, or upper level eventing. The day will come, just try to be patient!

      Yeaaaaaah, same. I think the best way to strive for one is just to think about the possible future whenever you’re stuck on things or everything seems to hard! Just keeping the dream and letting it fuel you to go on and get better at what you do! And eventually, if you’ve done it all right, you’ll end up with what you want later in life!
      -It does not do to simply dream. Actions must be taken to achieve them.

    Hey Hannah, I was wondering if you could do a tips video for starting a channel? I'm always super concerned about safety and privacy, and have considered starting a channel but I don't know how to keep myself safe from bad people out there. Im not sure how to talk to my parents about wanting to start a channel, Also just general tips would be great.
