S23 vs S22 vs S21? Great video, i ended up getting the S23 ultra as my 21 died so far im pretty happy , i think they could make a couple updates to camera software but its pretty dang good!
I have been taking shots like this for the past couple of months using the S22 Ultra with Photoshop Express to do my editing. I have some really fantastic shoots of the moon and stars, but I did it using an exposure of only 30 seconds. I just recently got the Astrophotography app and have attempted to get some shots with the exposure set at 4 minutes. I have yet to have seen any results that didn't end up with the image being completely washed out. I'm quite familiar with photography as I used to develop film in high school and have been an amateur photographer for many years now. I first became familiar with digital photography after purchasing my first digital camera before being deployed in the Army to Iraq. I love using shadow silhouettes, like some of the pictures I took during my deployment reflect. My biggest issue is the way the stars sometimes look great while others times they come out looking like blurry dots. Nothing more frustrating then taking the time to set up a shot, getting it exactly where I want, waiting 4 minutes for the shot to be taken, only to find out the image is either too blurry or washed out that even editing can't fix it. I would love to see you do a video on how to avoid having these same problems I have had. Also, what settings like ISO, focus, and even which lenses do you feel yield the best results? Your videos have been very helpful to me.

Does the Samsung take multiple pictures when you do Astrophotography? or is that an iphone only thing? I am trying to decide which phone to get because I want to use it for this very purpose. Using the astro in expert RAW it takes multiple images. Most phones do this now for low light / astro. If you use the ProMode it will shoot a single frame though

I think something is wrong with mine. I tried taken a picture of the moon tonight and all it is a big blurry bright light... my TLC 20se has taken better moon shots. I'm so annoyed. Also, when you take a zoomed in Pic, is it suppose to randomly sway. It's almost like the lense is free floating and doesn't do it the whole time but soon as I'm focused and want to take a shot or something, it's floats/sways. Idk, i never had that happen on any other phone.. I'm also having issues with it with, say I'm reading down the comments. All of a sudden it flicks and goes back to the top of the page.. This phone is brand new. I just got it a couple days ago

hello on the Expert Raw video you advised me to stay in auto focus auto There you place yourself in auto focus 0.7 Why this backtracking on the method? For me the focus is rather sharp at just over 0.9 and between 0.8 and 0.9 it's blurry Otherwise the best for me is not even in astro, it's in expert raw and 25Mpix 8s iso 800 much better than the 4min or 10min astro mode at 12Mpix, there is much less detail and there it is wow THANKS

Nice video, but one correction: That’s not the “galactic core”. When you see the Milky Way from Earth, you’re actually facing outward. What you’re seeing is the spiral arm.
Hi there, i have never tried to do a night sky capture before. I am currently using a samsung S24 (not the ultra). Ive just downloaded the expert raw so i can try it this evening, but i wanted to know if my other setting should be on ultra wide or wide? or does it not matter? do i also need to change the speed and ev settings?
Did you get It?
I'm into long exposure street photography, love this possibility of night photography, but I'm thinking, this expert mode can be activated at day time? I mean, putting an 10 stops ND ? I'm going to upgrade my phone and I'm between the Xiaomi 12T pro and this S23... any thoughts would be appreciated very much
U can use expert mode whenever u want
@@ladislavzenk2139 thanks a lot Ladislav
What tripod do you use to shoot this?
Incredible Astro photo from a phone... just wow !!
Cheers mate, thanks for watching :)
You sir get a thumbs up just for saying "flashlight"! Fine video, regardless. Hello from California.
Ouch, this took the boot to apples butt. Even though I have the 14 Pro, I’m glad it looks like the S23 is better. I still like the app quality and OS better on Iphone, but I think Samsung is the new camera king. Iphone still has great video but no native manual controls is ridiculous.
Im always torn mate. Its a great camera for this and almost everything else too. But the iOS keeps me in the Apple camp
Can you put a link in hers for your tripod please pal, trying to find a good stand for my S23 Ultra 👌
Galaxy Samsung S23 ultra é o melhor celular do mundo
What case is that? I love it!
Can you drop the link of that case
What would be the benefit of taking a 10 minute photo verus the 4 minute? Would the photo be clearer or see more stars? Thsnk you for the video.
Absolutely nothing. Ive tried both and can see no difference.
@@ShayneMostynThank you.
Man! For night photography, i guess you haven't tried any of the Nubia Z series phones yet! I would like you to try and get one and try it. You'll be amazed. I bet the results will be like never before. Try once
...the focus tip is gold. I was wondering why i never got focus right.
On the pixel its just point and shoot. Never had one issue with focus argh.
The long wait..... Worth it
Thanks for watching you Bloody Legend!
Nice video but can't find the Expert raw camera app anywhere 🤔🤔 not on the Samsung store or play store!
Hi, thanks for the awesome video I've just bought the S23 Ultra and can't wait to try out some of your tips. Where might I find this photo on your website, I've had a look and can't find it.
Its in the reviews section mate. Cheers
I have Raw Expert installed on my new S23U, however, astrophotography is greyed in the setup menu. Any suggestions?
Clicked on the link for the site but it only gets me to the site. Cannot easily find the photos you mention. How to access them and download for pixel peeping ?
Its in the reviews section on the site
S21 also does it pretty well. You just need a right location
Hey Buddy great video, are there any phone cameras that shoot in PAL instead of NTSC?
Hey mate, you can shoot PAL on an iPhone. Not sure about older ones, but certainly the 14PM. You just need to enable it in the settings.
Can you please recommend a small phone tripod for taking these shots
Great video, will you do one showing 10 minutes?
Hi, thanks for the nice video. Do you use auto HDR in expert raw astro mode?
Nope
Hello Shayne stellar work as usual! When I visited your website I couldn’t find the image to download. Has it been deleted from your website?
Nevermind I found it :) thanks mate you’re a legend
Would it make a difference if you use a GCam on the Samsung S23 Ultra for astrophotography?
Hello sir I took a picture with a digital camera during complete darkness and when the camera was pointed at the sky and took the picture it showed intense white lights in the shape of a star
Can you explain what these lights are?
Thank you very much
Can you use the ultrawide lens for this?
Yes, but it wont be as good
hello on the Expert Raw video you advised me to stay in auto focus auto
There you place yourself in auto focus 0.7
Why this backtracking on the method?
For me the focus is rather sharp at just over 0.9
and between 0.8 and 0.9 it's blurry
Otherwise the best for me is not even in astro, it's in expert raw and 25Mpix 8s iso 800
much better than the 4min or 10min astro mode
at 12Mpix, there is much less detail
and there it is wow
THANKS
😍
Astrofotoğraf için 14 promax mi s23 ultra mı desek
So by expanding the time up from 4 minutes and beyond (IDK what the max time limit is) does it make any difference?
Yes I think so. Less noise in the end result
While taking a picture, a huge shooting star cam across my photo, however when the picture was done taking, the shooting star never showed up.
