Into the light is full on recycle... We paid for the majority of that content long ago. All the effort was switching the "On" box. Everything else was meant for 30th anniversary type of paid DLC. (Just compare the similarities) They even held on the UI rework for almost a year just to sell it in FS, there were leaks of the rework long ago. Clear proof they do not care about player convenience in the slightest while withholding such an important QoL feature.
As someone who started in vanilla D1. There is nothing that will stop me from from playing Final Shape. Even if it’s horrible, I’m seeing this decade through to the end

Lightfall was hot garbage. Burnt out and felt like there was nothing to do. They have to make the biggest comeback for me to want to actually join the game again
You can keep that filth with you. Gambit is my most disliked game mode, and that’s saying something considering the suffering that must occasionally occur in Trials
I sympathize with the honest motivations behind this video, but it's just over for me. I just can't do it anymore man. The second I see the orbit screen I become preemptively exhausted. It's not just that Lightfall sucked, but that Bungie consistently over the years couldn't stop dropping the ball more often than not. One step forward, Two steps back, monkey's paw and all that. I can't do it anymore, I don't trust them at all.
Stopped playing about a year after forsaken came out. I just feel like there’s so much lore I haven’t seen, so much gear has come and gone that I don’t even know about.
Maybe ill just wait till the end of final shape when everything is handed out for free again lol. The most fun Ive had in destiny is coming back after long stretches and having tons of quests/content to do
This is what I was thinking like if they just have all the shi I paid for for free then I’m finna just wait till they do that shi again like if they end up giving shi away why have us pay for it at all I get it it’s to support them to make more but if that money is like a. Donation to help fund more shi then why don’t they just ask for those instead of giving content for free after people spent money on it idk I’m happy bungie is giving shi out for free they rack up so much money of the expensive ass expansions so I’m glad that bungie is finnaly releasing some shi to less fortunate people
I’m honestly not going to preorder the Final Shape, due to getting burned by Bungie far too many times. I’ll be standing by the sidelines and see how the community reacts after a day or two.
I hope you really do consider it after a couple of days. In a similar case with Helldivers 2, one of my friends said they weren’t picking it up yet. They said because, “I don’t know, I’m still suspicious about it.” After WEEKS, when the PSN account linking happened, they took that as their moment to say I told you so.
I think the best way to sum everything up with destiny is. If you're a vanilla destiny player, it just doesn't hit like it used to. No matter what even with the new weapons, the new content, it does not hit like it used to
Gonna be honest I think it’s hitting pretty good, maybe not AS good as D1 but all my highschool mates from years ago are all jumping on again and it’s good to have that connection and start jumping into dungeons
so real, as a seasoned veteran who made content for years and still think Destiny will forever be my favorite video game I want to care about the game so bad but I just don’t.
I’m coming back after leaving at D1 because I was upset that all my times and time counted for nothing when getting D2, and honestly I’m having fun, glad I missed the last 9 years of betrayal even though I have no idea why people are mad.
@@7eamGhastbro came back at the worst time. 1.PVP has been dead for years 2.Raids have become very easy 3.The story makes no sense anymore 4.Bungie has no plans to bring back vaulted expansions.
I have put A LOT of time (and money) into this game. It is definitely the game I have played the most in the past five years. But, I simply have no motivation to play this game anymore. Since the last season of Witch Queen, I have not touched this game much at all. I don't know if anyone feels the same way, but despite all my friends asking me to come back, I simply cannot bring myself to despite how much my friends tell me that I should.
Its called burnout, and im surprised how many d2 players feel and and have no idea what it means, if you do to much of ANYTHING daily (like thousands of hours) relatively consistently, its pretty common to just burnout and lose motivation for years, usually it fades, but again, it can take years, while it happens a lot in video games, it can also happen with jobs or sometimes longer shows. The only time I've seen this not happen is with autistic people (like me) hyperfixating on something for 12 years, but that gives a whole new type of endless dopamine and doesn't really count. Anyways, it happens to almost everyone, don't be harsh on urself abt it.
I stopped playing due to having a life reasons, and missed some seasonal ornaments that will never come back. Ornaments I'd be willing to grind for and pay for if I had the chance mind you.
The thing about live service games is that the devs never intend to make a good game, it needs to be flawed so they have to apply updates every now and then for it to be live service, same thing why no one creates light bulbs that last 200 years
The new (or long time returning) player experience is the worst out of any game I have ever played. As a new player, you will never know wtf you're supposed to be doing, what content is important, what content doesn't matter. Some quests are overtuned into the extreme (Nord.Ovrd.Avalon) and more tedious than anything you'll ever do, and some are laughably easy even though they require the exact same gearscore. At one point the game just threw a bunch of 1810 gear at me for no reason, yet my drops and vendor rewards continued to drop well below my GS level. Navigating the world is an absolute slog of loading screens, and there is so much feature creep into the game it's unreal. At one point I had 5 pages of quests. All from seemingly different DLC or expansions, and no idea what to do to get to "relevant" content. Oh and item diversity? I somehow got an exotic scorch hand cannon that exploded on kill and would wipe out screens of enemies. From the moment I logged on. That outperformed any other gun I got on my journey to 1810+ GS. It was a primary weapon and nothing came close. I was doing Vanguards or Nightfalls with people with a guardian rank of 10 and outperforming them (scoring 2x higher) because of this stupid weapon that required zero skill. But then in Gambit when we were invaded, I would land three consecutive headshots on the opposing guardian, do zero damage and get one tapped. There was no rhyme or reason to it. I also tried doing a 50 wave onslaught that was "recommended 1600 GS" and was getting one shot by everything towards the end at over 1800 GS. I think they'll get some returning players as they always do, but then quickly fall off as they always do because the game is borderline unplayable for new players right now; it's an unintuitive mess.
Hm, seems like you needed a guide, the weapon you had called sunshot is mainly for pve, in pvp its not recommended. weapons are tuned for pve and pvp respectively so it did not perform as well the quest issue is definitely a thing and getting under 1810 stuff is due to 1810 being pinacle, and 1800 is soft cap, the resson its ranked 1600 rec is because it levels everyone up to 1800, they state this ingame as well, also vangaurd or nightfalls is easy to carry in because alot of people are garbage or dont know what to do or are doing bounties FInally the super hard content you said is because you didn't have a build crafted and it is an exotic mission, not an average mission, average activities are always going to be easy because you over power them and content that require you to select difficulty or different maps are usually the harder activities. New player experience is bad, however you really will need a guide, ask any content creators discord or even use the new fireteam finder system **IN HIGHER ACTIVITIES YOU WANT THESE** You should always use some kind of resistant mod or surges on armor along with siphon, since you use sunshot definitely try solar siphon, idk you're class, but if hunter use solar or void with one fragment to make firesprites to heal or use healing nades, or void for invis and devour, if warlock same with with solar but use well of radiance, and finally titan some mix between thundercrash and or behemoth for some fun, use recouperation if health is an issue and if not use scav or surges, since you have sunshot i recommend a linear or rocket as a heavy but it is up to you
@VengefulLuna12 thanks for the reply. I dont understand half of what you said but I'll look into it - but this kind of goes back to my point of how bad the new player experience is. If you have to look up guides because the game is so unintuitive, they need to fix that like immediately.
@@VodkaphileTTG i do agree with that, they definitely need to fix it and I could have explained better, i can understand your point and definitely agree with you
I know this is a week ago, but Sunshot is my primary going into the final shape, the weapon is so damn good (does lock in my exotic slot but watching the chaff melt around me and then back around the corner in firey explosions is unparallel) also with my exotic helm causing restoration on solar kills I cause explosions while also healing myself
Yeah, I'm one of those old school Destiny players who watches most of your D2 content even though I have not dived in for...geeze, damn near two years. Just got tired of the grind with a busy life. Never stopped enjoying certain aspects of the game despite all the negativity. Been having fun catching up on titles I ignored. But absolutely planned to get back in for The Final Shape. Good to hear the grind to get level up ready will be seriously reduced! Thanks!
Took a 5 month break, came back for onslaught. Fun pve game mode, enjoying them and the guns. Gonna hold off on the finale shape and see how they cooked.
My only issue with the power floor is that the numbers are way to high and would confuse new players. If it was reset to 0-100 there would be zero gameplay difference and would help newer players understand easier
I respect your opinion, but it is just not financially responsible for me and many others to spend $120 for something that i need to continuously do year round to justify the cost. And even something like just baseline Final Shape and whatever season it comes with is still just... not worth it, unless they just go above and beyond or something. I'd love to keep playing, but for something that is higher than like 40-50, much less double/triple that amount, I just cannot justify purchasing. Not only that, but I've come be more skeptical since Lightfall dropped. So if the Final Shape is TRULY incredible, I would need to see it to believe it. Granted, the free content is amazing, and I - quite frankly - suspect that the Devs pushed to make that happen, despite their higher-ups needing some... convincing. As such, despite the fact the I actually DID get Lightfall and played it like a madman when it came out, I have to step away from the game by the time The Final Shape comes out. Thanks for the vid tho.
Why $120? If you are on PS, everything except Final Shape is free (legacy pack for a month, Lightfall on PS+ for may) If you actually want to purchase the Legacy collection, its discounted to $12 on PSN too. If you are on PC, you can also wait for the inevitable discounts that they always do that should match or improve those PSN prices. For all intents and purposes, you can get everything before Final Shape eitjer for free or for around $20-25 And Final Shape you can also just wait for it to drop a bit in price if you dont care about buying day 1
@@Estarvia That is very true! however, there's not really a point to grinding those free activities that will inevitably get very boring without some form of final shape based content to have access to. that's kinda what i had in the back of mind while i was typing that i guess. As for the drop in price on PC... If that happens soon enough, I hope it's significant enough for me to be willing to play once more, without feeling stressed out and needing to get my money's worth.
I completely agree the fact that it’s all times events and I’d something comes up in life you’ve just wasted your money they’ll prolly never be a way to go back and do them just like so many things in the game and I think that what pisses me off the most half of the shi I bought has been scrapped and the story’s don’t even exist now so it’s like I wasted my money on previous releases like if you pay for somthing you should be able to access it forever and always because you invested in it but I feel like a lot of ppl have gotten away from remembering that with the live service game play model but I feel it’s robbery if they are taking your money for something you have some months If that some weeks to finish I feel like a lot of what destiny is now is just money they release things like this to get ppl to come back and have them give them money and then they release okie shi Bv you’ve already paid for it all the things that bungie has done to me from sunseting to storys that I paid for being removed to now that I’m back in the for the final shape I have no real way of catching up because I missed the when everything was free so idk to me everything bungie has done has proved my point that this game isn’t worth it money wise time wise it will be fun and it will be exciting but after you’ll never get to enjoy it again so it’ll only be those emotions once if that
I can't do it this time. I've come and gone twice and this time I don't trust them. I just think the game needs more than they can give for me to return. Hope you guys have fun.
Fat chance. I've been burned too many times at this point. I get the sentiment, I truly do because I'm one of those guys who quit ages ago but still keeps up with the game's news because deep down there is a part of Destiny that I still love. I'll choose to wait a month after launch because time and time again Bungie has shown that they place a lower level of care and attention to the parts of the game that I do care about (story + PVP) despite promising the moon and under-delivering every time. I don't mind waiting for the dust to settle even if it means missing out on the current content they're offering because I don't want to get burned again.
Destiny 2 has turned into the video game equivalent of the "there's too much fucking shit on me" scene from I Think You Should Leave. I played D1 and then D2 non-stop up until about two years ago, and since then I've tried a handful of times to come back to D2 and... it's just too much. When the game has become overwhelming to return to after a long break even for someone who had thousands of hours played, that seems like a major problem. And power level isn't even the reason for it. When you stop playing, you lose that momentum of being up to date with everything and understanding every aspect of the game. I miss my time with Destiny and would love to be able to jump back in for a bit here and there, but it's become too tedious and annoying. Maybe if vault space wasn't limited I wouldn't feel so much anxiety logging back in to a full vault and not knowing what to do with it because I don't know what the fuck anything is anymore so I just run around the tower for a few minutes and then log out.
Yes! I need that gear video. I’ve been f2p on Destiny 2 for a while now, and with bungie giving us all of the seasonal activities, and 3 expansions, it’s kind of a lot being thrown at me at 1 time. A guide would be a great help.
Unfortunately the 100 person clan I was in doesn't care at all anymore. For many reasons and not too many new players will come in at all especially for the end. The episodes won't do a thing for the game or community. So I think perhaps 50% of players who left will come back for a bit then that's it. Honestly I'm a Day 1 D1 player and have stayed and even I don't care anymore. Even what kept me here for so long used to be "the feel of weapons". And there is still some of that but I recently tried new CoD and though I'm not saying it's a better game but TBH most of those guns feel a lot better than 90% of D2 guns. I love the feedback I get from them. It is what it is D2 and Destiny I believe is doing it's swan song and 6 weeks after the release the game will just slowly bleed out. Of course I could be wrong but not counting on it. Unless D3 shows up
@@sublimetoast1441 the only real drawback is you lose some money, but if the expansion turns out to be really good and you enjoy the game again, then you get a huge benefit
Please reserve this kind of comments for AFTER release. The only one that should be trying to lure players with nostalgia for the final is Bungie as they are the ones selling the game
Too many layers now. I don’t have that much time to dedicate to gaming. Not enough to get a good weapon. Have to level it up and now you’ve got deep sight and resonance, and it goes on at higher tiers. There’s just too much to keep up with.
The only thing bungie can do to reignite my hype is to actually release a banger 10/10 dlc. It doesn't matter how many trailers, twabs, vidocs they make, i refuse to get hyped over that shit anymore. Yes, The final shape looks pretty good, but Lightfall also looked good.
I appreciate your honesty with the game, I stopped playing myself after the 3rd season last year. I am only coming back mainly because Im a D1 beta vet and I want to at least be there at the end to see how it goes.
It's crazy how active my friends list has become again since Into the Light dropped. I already knew I wanted these extra few months before Final Shape to get some stuff finished, but I was not expecting Bungie to cook so well.
The player count on Steam is WAY up. From January to March the average player count each month didn't go above 39 thousand. Not great numbers. Then Into the Light hits and the player count almost doubles, the average amount of players in April was 60 thousand. I'd imagine similar gains happened on other platforms too.
they had to though fs woulda bombed bad and with how low the pop was 3 to 6 months ago it woulda been the lowest selling dlc ever .believe me there doing it out of neccesity it aint for us and out of kindess .they looked at the numbers had the whole team on call for a week and brain stormed
With 974.4 hrs on record, I just can't do it... I wanted to love Destiny, but the constantly shifting power level, RNG FOMO, removal of content, and the neutering of all the gear that I had accumulated, left such a bad taste in my mouth, that when I last reinstalled Destiny, I just couldn't do it. Every time I sat down and tried to play, I kept asking my self what's the point. Every thing that I do is just going to be made worthless next time they release an update.
Thats why I returned to Destiny 1 where I still have things to do and to complete the last DLC. Nowadays, its so much a better and fuller game than Destiny 2. Maybe you can enjoy that game.
also for anyone that doesn't have the season pass but all the season pass are now available for all players so you can jump to the game with a hell of a lot of contents for a months until it goes away
Also just a heads up ps plus free games for may included lightfall so if your on PlayStation you can play every dlc up to the final shape for free right now.
I have a hard time paying that much money for an extremely old game. I'm considering just waiting for Bungie's next game. There are games with way better engines and less malicious businesses tactic.
HEY!!! This is the Bungie cycle! Theyve done it since Day 1. Promise>Fail>Adjust>Redeem and back around again. It is annoying and that is why we should NOT come back. Need to break the cycle.
Yeah, unfortunately, I'd recommend simply playing the free to play version and skipping the rest for the majority of players. Bungie has still not introduced matchmaking to all their activities like they promised, and most of the best stuff ,including the new class item, which is gated to having another player do the activity with you. Bungie will never learn until Sony starts threatening to take over. 🙄
Sorry but no thanks, love your content but I’m just so apathetic towards Destiny 2 that I’m just waiting for you to find another game that you love and can make content for on a regular basis. Truly can’t wait for lightning to strike and see you delve into something new ❤
Returning players and new players are gonna be completely different experiences. Bungie still seems to have missed the memo on how to make a tutorial and the only way to really get decent at the game in this stage is to delve into the community outside the game itself, learn the lingo and find out basic mechanics the game never even hints at. Those returning left for a reason, and to each their own, but i know for a fact a lot left because they were sick of being spammed with advertizing for ingame purchases that ultimately give you mid performance and play experience, then later finding out the one bit of content that wasnt pushed gives pay-to-win tier loot that is now meta. Bungie cant really add anything to the game that will change that because its a result of the corporate business model. Also the fact that they dumped the first two years of content in the trash despite selling nostalgia... theres really only one way to fix that mistake.

I don’t think I will come back. With Lightfall they completely lost my trust, It was nothing more than a scam. In Addition destiny lacks of innovations for years now. Yeah Prismatic seems nice but it’s nothing revolutionary and I think that’s what the game desperately needs.
Haven’t played in years, but I always kept up with the game news and lore through UA-cam. My bro and I are gonna be playing final shape. Been a Destiny fan day 1, I’m gonna see it through to the end.
The game director did say that there's more planned for the future after the final shape, which they will reveal to us when the time comes so I guess we just gotta wait and see
New player here, dragged into it by a friend. Guides on what content from the free expansions are universally worthwhile to do would be really helpful! My friend is a long time player but we've been a little overwhelmed as to what to do because there are so many options. I also have really limited playtime so I have to pick and choose what's worth it and what isn't.
I've been playing Destiny since beta D1. I played until Beyond Light, and I completely checked out after that. I'm still very skeptical and doubt I'll be coming back, but I'll at least pay attention at launch. If Final Shape is everything Bungie says it'll be, I might consider coming back
Same with the quit date for me, majorly for me it was FOMO that got me to check out because I wasn't able to get any of the paid stuff that I liked playing and with all the meta stuff(the stuff I would sometimes need to play the game period) got combined with ADHD and it became burnout central.
Same for me played since D1 beta (and D2 beta) and have bought every dlc up to current point. I'm done with buying bungies shit however I still will continue to play until what I've paid for is used up. They are excellent in the marketing department and lazy/scum/greedy (we don't want to overdeliver to get our customers used to good stuff" GDC summit 2022) in the delivery department. That's also not adding the facts of them injecting identity politics and me getting completey sick and intolerant of that BS. I'll wait and see how things play out while playing but they aren't getting any more money from me after everything bungie has done to fuck over it's loyal customers especially those that have been with them since the original Xbox Halo days.
I just can’t get excited about it. It’s not exciting. I’m gonna come back to play this one, but I’m not expecting anything amazing. After so many years of disappointment, they stopped surprising every time they hit a new low and tried forcing something that not only didn’t fit but was irrelevant to the story. Like if they brought back Cayde-6 as a black girl, I would feel absolutely nothing.
I’ll let byf decipher the ending for me. I love the story of destiny and lightfall was complete garbage toast. I loved Destiny from the day it came out. The Taken King is still the absolute best dlc to have ever been made. I obviously preordered D2 and was beyond displeased with vanilla D2, then the curse of Osiris and shadowkeep sent me overboard. I quit until Witch Queen because the free content added was awesome and after paying for awhile I purchased and enjoyed the Witch Queen and thought lightfall looked good. Never been screwed on dlc that bad. They bit me 4 too many times and I’m not made of money. I still care so I won’t stop watching you and byf though
the thing that scares me is, as someone with 1700+ hours across my xbox and steam, I dont know if I even want to get TFS, I'm a massive lore guy, I loved witch queen, forsaken, even shadowkeep but less so, and even with prismatic looking pretty cool, I'm of the mindset that prismatic wont matter a smidge if I get bored of the new content in 4 hours, I'll likely do 3 legendary runs, get prismatic, do some of the new content for a few hours after and be done. unless TFS is REALLY DAMN FUCKING GOOD, like 5x better than forsaken, I aint getting it, which I almost feel like....bad for saying, I have this much time in this game, have all these memories, have made these friends, but I dont even know if it'll be worth getting the big saga closing DLC? I just dont know man...
imo returning and paying 60-100 dollars for a new dlc just for a 6 hour story campaign is not worth it unless you have friends who are consistent and are able to do 6 player activities maybe yes.
I don't know, man. Fallout 4 is banging right now, especially with that recent next-gen update. I will wait from reviews first after being burned after Lightfall.
Imagine they keep Onslaught but make it one of the main game modes! I think if they make it infinite waves, but with a leaderboard, it would be pretty fun to grind out to be on that leaderboard
Id really consider it but i never realized how much destiny takes dedication until i got a back condition (destiny is 50% to blame due to the insane amount of time it requires) and when i pkayed other games it really shiwed me how much destiny is just unhealthly built ,not to mention i dont have the money especially with inflation and my countries restrictions on dollars then there is just the poeple ive met on this game are just borderline mentally unhealthy and it clicked that i was too. As much i commend them for somewhat fixing alot ,its too late and the damage has been done on my end. With that said ,i appreciate your coverage of the season FOP ❤

You can keep that filth with you. Gambit is my most disliked game mode, and that’s saying something considering the suffering that must occasionally occur in Trials
We want to keep new people in the game, not show them why to hate the game even more.
This is why you treat gambit like the crucible
*I hate everyone and everything and I’m gonna make you understand why*
Lol I'm coming back after 2 years and I always liked gambit to an extent. No idea how anything is anymore but I'll be in there somewhere.
Omg, the evolution of the Elmo thumbnails. For years just the basic template, but now we have the Witness. Excellent job.
I refuse to pre-order or purchase until they prove it to me. I don't care what anyone says, I won't fall into the hype anymore.

No matter what even with the new weapons, the new content, it does not hit like it used to
Pretty much summed up my situ. I wanna return for tfs just to end the journey.
But is it because I want to...or need to, yknow
Same to both of these comments. It also just feels so old, and tbh, I’m not the same naive teenager I was when vanilla D1 released.
Gonna be honest I think it’s hitting pretty good, maybe not AS good as D1 but all my highschool mates from years ago are all jumping on again and it’s good to have that connection and start jumping into dungeons

@@Flaming-wings Maybe, but i'm having fun in my free time in PVP.
I’ve been playing destiny since alpha beta in D1. I quit. Not returning.
@@EepyGirlLavaexactly i could play bg3 and witcher 3 for thousands of hrs and still grow to hate it if i dont take breaks

Last thing I expected from this video was a drake diss 💀
And yet here I am so burned out on the game that I literally haven't even attempted Onslaught mode. I'm sick of the FOMO grind to hell and back.
I stopped playing due to having a life reasons, and missed some seasonal ornaments that will never come back. Ornaments I'd be willing to grind for and pay for if I had the chance mind you.
Drake’s even catching strays from Destiny content creators 😂
This video convinced me to come back after a long hiatus. I haven't played since Monday.
This is actually infuriating. Bungie could have done a lot of these changes before now.
Yeah im over this game
The thing about live service games is that the devs never intend to make a good game, it needs to be flawed so they have to apply updates every now and then for it to be live service, same thing why no one creates light bulbs that last 200 years
I’ll come back after final shape release and after raid releases along with more reviews
He didn’t deny getting tugged under the desk by bungie
I seriously dont know if I can handle one more return to Destiny. But I'll be watching your videos, maybe they'll tell me
The new (or long time returning) player experience is the worst out of any game I have ever played.
Hm, seems like you needed a guide, the weapon you had called sunshot is mainly for pve, in pvp its not recommended.
weapons are tuned for pve and pvp respectively so it did not perform as well the quest issue is definitely a thing and getting under 1810 stuff is due to 1810 being pinacle, and 1800 is soft cap, the resson its ranked 1600 rec is because it levels everyone up to 1800, they state this ingame as well, also vangaurd or nightfalls is easy to carry in because alot of people are garbage or dont know what to do or are doing bounties
FInally the super hard content you said is because you didn't have a build crafted and it is an exotic mission, not an average mission, average activities are always going to be easy because you over power them and content that require you to select difficulty or different maps are usually the harder activities.
New player experience is bad, however you really will need a guide, ask any content creators discord or even use the new fireteam finder system
**IN HIGHER ACTIVITIES YOU WANT THESE**
You should always use some kind of resistant mod or surges on armor along with siphon, since you use sunshot definitely try solar siphon, idk you're class, but if hunter use solar or void with one fragment to make firesprites to heal or use healing nades, or void for invis and devour, if warlock same with with solar but use well of radiance, and finally titan some mix between thundercrash and or behemoth for some fun, use recouperation if health is an issue and if not use scav or surges, since you have sunshot i recommend a linear or rocket as a heavy but it is up to you
@VengefulLuna12 thanks for the reply.
But with older players it feels as if your progress was reset, that’s why they don’t do that
I respect your opinion, but it is just not financially responsible for me and many others to spend $120 for something that i need to continuously do year round to justify the cost.
Why $120? If you are on PS, everything except Final Shape is free (legacy pack for a month, Lightfall on PS+ for may)
If you actually want to purchase the Legacy collection, its discounted to $12 on PSN too.
If you are on PC, you can also wait for the inevitable discounts that they always do that should match or improve those PSN prices.
For all intents and purposes, you can get everything before Final Shape eitjer for free or for around $20-25
And Final Shape you can also just wait for it to drop a bit in price if you dont care about buying day 1
@@Estarvia That is very true! however, there's not really a point to grinding those free activities that will inevitably get very boring without some form of final shape based content to have access to. that's kinda what i had in the back of mind while i was typing that i guess.
As for the drop in price on PC... If that happens soon enough, I hope it's significant enough for me to be willing to play once more, without feeling stressed out and needing to get my money's worth.
I completely agree the fact that it’s all times events and I’d something comes up in life you’ve just wasted your money they’ll prolly never be a way to go back and do them just like so many things in the game and I think that what pisses me off the most half of the shi I bought has been scrapped and the story’s don’t even exist now so it’s like I wasted my money on previous releases like if you pay for somthing you should be able to access it forever and always because you invested in it but I feel like a lot of ppl have gotten away from remembering that with the live service game play model but I feel it’s robbery if they are taking your money for something you have some months If that some weeks to finish I feel like a lot of what destiny is now is just money they release things like this to get ppl to come back and have them give them money and then they release okie shi Bv you’ve already paid for it all the things that bungie has done to me from sunseting to storys that I paid for being removed to now that I’m back in the for the final shape I have no real way of catching up because I missed the when everything was free so idk to me everything bungie has done has proved my point that this game isn’t worth it money wise time wise it will be fun and it will be exciting but after you’ll never get to enjoy it again so it’ll only be those emotions once if that
the fact that you have to "beg" people to even come back says more than I even need to know about final shape. thanks.

I’m trying to come back. The expansions becoming available again have helped
Unless D3 shows up
Whether or not Bungie lands, I think if you ever enjoyed the series, you should play Final Shape
This is exactly what they are banking on. Whether it's to exploit sales or warranted hype, only time will tell.
I'll be there. 2 years out (since witch queen) but I'll see it through. Played since og D1. Guess I gotta see it end.
@@andruuu4649 nah bro, you’re wrong about that. If people enjoy the game, they’re gonna talk about it and encourage others to play it. Pretty simple

Stopped playing before lightfall came out. The grind ain't worth it nor the money.
Nice try… not today.

Into the light has breathed a lot of life back in the game for sure
they had to though fs woulda bombed bad and with how low the pop was 3 to 6 months ago it woulda been the lowest selling dlc ever .believe me there doing it out of neccesity it aint for us and out of kindess .they looked at the numbers had the whole team on call for a week and brain stormed
I would really enjoy a video on what gear to look out for! I just hopped back in for the first time in a while, feels like there’s so much I’m missing
@@qui-gonsgin8747 I'd consider giving it a shot, but D1 is not available on PC.

I love the little witness in the thumbnail lol. There's no better time to jump back in the game like now. I'm seeing the saga to the end.
also for anyone that doesn't have the season pass but all the season pass are now available for all players so you can jump to the game with a hell of a lot of contents for a months until it goes away
This has been the most popular D2 has been in my friend group since we weekly raided Leviathan. Bungie is cooking and we’re here for it!
It's just too damn expensive to play D2 these days and it's still just not solo friendly enough for me to care anymore either.
Idk, I think I’ll wait until after the launch to play again

In Addition destiny lacks of innovations for years now. Yeah Prismatic seems nice but it’s nothing revolutionary and I think that’s what the game desperately needs.

New player here, dragged into it by a friend. Guides on what content from the free expansions are universally worthwhile to do would be really helpful! Stay the hell away from this game.

Only addicts who can't quit are left.
I've been playing Destiny since beta D1. I played until Beyond Light, and I completely checked out after that. I'm still very skeptical and doubt I'll be coming back, but I'll at least pay attention at launch. If Final Shape is everything Bungie says it'll be, I might consider coming back
Don’t bungie treats us like dogshit and doesn’t deserve your trust.
I'll play the free campaigns and that's it. I simply have no time to play the game as frequently anymore.
Destiny is like Hotel California... or Heroin. Nobody needs to return because nobody can ever really leave.
This video conviced me to play, havent played since 2020, started in house of wolves nothing is gonna stop me from playing the end of destiny
I was already looking forward to Final Shape and am getting ready to dive back in hard, but that thumbnail alone would've pulled me back in rofl
After lightfall I won’t return unless I get a refund, bungie bit me too many times…. and definitely not because I’m busy playing Helldivers😂
Once they stop charging more than your average full game for a DLC I'll come back (I know that's never going to happen)
I hope the money was good Fallout 👀

the thing that scares me is, as someone with 1700+ hours across my xbox and steam, I dont know if I even want to get TFS, I'm a massive lore guy, I loved witch queen, forsaken, even shadowkeep but less so, and even with prismatic looking pretty cool, I'm of the mindset that prismatic wont matter a smidge if I get bored of the new content in 4 hours, I'll likely do 3 legendary runs, get prismatic, do some of the new content for a few hours after and be done. unless TFS is REALLY DAMN FUCKING GOOD, like 5x better than forsaken, I aint getting it, which I almost feel like....bad for saying, I have this much time in this game, have all these memories, have made these friends, but I dont even know if it'll be worth getting the big saga closing DLC? I just dont know man...
imo returning and paying 60-100 dollars for a new dlc just for a 6 hour story campaign is not worth it unless you have friends who are consistent and are able to do 6 player activities maybe yes.
Im already back papa Fallout ❤
Too any people lookin for red borders. You probs want to focus on s23 and then s20. 21/22 weapons are kinda mid
Let it go...
I don't know, man. Fallout 4 is banging right now, especially with that recent next-gen update. I will wait from reviews first after being burned after Lightfall.
Bungie should have called it: Into the reused content.
Imagine they keep Onslaught but make it one of the main game modes! I think if they make it infinite waves, but with a leaderboard, it would be pretty fun to grind out to be on that leaderboard
"Yo dude you should totally start smoking again its like really cool now"
100% true
Get rid of fomo.
Got back into it for the 3 free campaign. So glad i did. Im hooked again.
