No VR exploring video is truly complete without having Librarian pick a house to live in first.
Love the new animated intro!
Preferred cold opens more with the map ambience setting the tone. At this point they've become a kind of an intro in and of themselves, I don't see why he changed it
Damn, yesterday I was binge watching some of your Gmod exploration videos that I haven't watched and it's so nice seeing a new one already. I love your other videos but there's something so cozy and comfy about your Gmod videos.
@@FiatUno2003 yeah he’s such a good creator for just binge watching and he just has a good commendation style.
@@Birdoverlord-d4y He's the only creator that I can rewatch the older videos and still feel like I haven't watched them. I lost count of how many times I watched his rp_Asheville video.
@@FiatUno2003 yeah honestly even though I finished his series of Into the Radius I am in the process of rewatching it because of how good it is
My personal favourite and the video that got me into this channel was rp_southside, it’s sheer scale blew my mind. I didn’t really even know what gmod was before watching that. And then the voidspaces video sent me down a librarian gmod liminal space rabbit hole where I am still craving for more.
as always I get more startled by him screaming than by the "scary" thing itself lol
39:37- When the warning sign says "do not rock or tilt machine", it _means_ it!
Some of these maps are really fun to explore. I like to imagine different back stories for their existence.
39:46 come on. dont tell me you DIDNT HEAR THAT GROAN!!
@@brokenwings7802I'm pretty sure the cough was actually a real life thing
@@vikkicain5674I thought it was someone outside my house coughing at first but I went back to double check, and I assure you: it’s in-game
Maps with complex, creepy secrets under a veneer of normalcy are fantastic. I guess that's my favorite genre in general, I suppose...
Agreed. I originally didn't have any idea that the map had so many creepy secrets hidden in it (tbf I was mostly playing the day version which doesn't have the UFO and the tall man)
same. They're my favorite types of maps
I feel like they do "horror" better than most horror maps because they're usually more restrained, unexpected even
This map is one of the best, I’ve done so many movies on this map because of all the potential
Chris mentioning the wolf howling and going off the path reminded me of that red riding hood game called “The Path”. I’d love to see him give that a playthrough.
Today is my Birthday! Thank you for posting! 🎉
Have you seen Lamar lately? I hope your pet is doing well after the teleportation incident
30:15 "Why would you willingly advertise your business this way?" Well maybe because it's called Chompskis bar (I don't know if he saw the name)
51:55 thx for waking me up, genuinely woke up shaking after that scream
I think the bridge collapse is refrencing the silver bridge collapse around the time of mothman
This guy us the perfect horror protagonist that is actually smart, plus his voice is calming and even puts me to sleep sometimes
All in all, quite a map for a WoD rp session.
This new intro is simple but unique, and I love it, It's almost like I can feel the warmth come out the flame.
already loving the little animated intro, immediately gives off a cozy feeling
Librarian talking about 80s nostalgia despite never being alive for it is exactly how I feel about 90s nostalgia despite never being alive for it
Same. I was born in '98, yet I feel nostalgic as if I had once experienced the entire era.
I'm glad you did explore the steam page a bit, I'd have been real sad if you left this map without seeing any of the deeper secrets on here, even if you didn't find the bunker. Also, funny you should mention the Mt. Gordo ghost because, well...
Bro this released like the minute my friend's server switched to this map.
We need a video of you finding all the Easter eggs it would be so cool to see all the secrets that this map has
babe wa- oh right
boys, wake up, Librarian posted another gmod video
Damn, I never thought you'd do this map. I already did a Librarian esque deep exploration by myself. Very cool map.
The perfect video to watch, to end the night. The GMod videos are always my favorite! Thank you Librarian 😃
love the atmosphere. I think people could do more using this as an RP setting it just takes a lot of imagination and less built in mechanics.
You should try exploring ph_resortmadness, its a super well made map, filled to the brim with details and pure eye candy, would love too see you give it a go with VR.
Hay bales don't normally get that tall, usually only around 5 feet tall for round bales, there may be some farms that run them that large but transport would become difficult to say the least.
YES FINALLY!!!! This is my cozy and comfy map of all of GMOD! Another map I found interesting was the gm_abandonedbunker, a combine base of some sorts. It might not be your cup of tea, but it's pretty cool.
you should honestly make a tierlist for comfiest/creepiest maps
You reminded of a couple of Dean Koontz novels with your comment around 34:03. "Seize the Night" and "Fear Nothing" are the ones I'm thinking of. 😀
4:05 In fact, with the GM version, there's no interiors to explore.
I think this is going to be one of my favorite Gmod maps you have explored. (Gm_NightLight is also one of my favorites)
okay my man I am loving the new intro screen you have with the candle, very fitting for the calm yet ominous vibe you always go for with your videos and content! love the great work!
New intro is so good
There is just something truly terrifying about a vending machine randomly behind a building or warehouse that has no business being there.
Woah! That intro was sick!!!
I was waiting for him to explore this map. Finally
the intro is majestic
This is really cool. Ive came back to your channel a Long awhile after binge watching your Gmod exploration videos. Your commentary, your choice of what maps and mods you use is a genuine match made in heaven and you're the reason why I play Gmod
Love your content man, it makes me feel relaxed to watch it. Keep uo the good work
Ever since I began watching this content I've actually been excited for another upload
With regards to how people perceive different things based on preconceived notions (such as your examples with Japan and the 80s) you are absolutely right. I was inspired by multiple factors to pursue Japan, one of them being anime.
I studied abroad in Tokyo, surrounded by anime nerds among the other students studying abroad. Many of them ended up HATING it there... turns out living there is quite a bit different than how anime portrays it to be.
I ended up falling in love with it personally and upon graduation taught English there. It was a love-hate relationship until it leveled out and I liked it in the end.
Trying to get back myself, but job market kind of blows right now. Anyways, just paused your video to comment.
Im getting twin peaks vibes from this map.
Wake up Charlie, a new librarian video just dropped!
I have been watching your videos for a while love your content of Explore different buildings of games and your take on them
AWESOME INTRO WE GETTING UPGRADES.. UPGRADES
If you have the opportunity, Librarian, I would really love it if you play Night in the Woods.
0:52 Hotels named ocean-something are always have some amusement side in them. Take VTMB for example.
You know , I think you would love the setting of the darkness 1 . One of my favorite video game worlds if not my favorite , probably just as much as L4D1 .
Love your vids thoooo brooo
11:15 clockwise, huh? I guess time works differently in GMOD.
this map gives me Gemini home entertainment vibes
wow the new intro fits in perfectly id love to make one for you too but i lack the skill i have just a perfect idea maybe make a few diffrent depending on the game you play Yknow :3
I haven’t watched a vid from you in a bit and i come back and you have an INTRO now
10:53 GTA San Andreas myth hunting video when????
I would love to see him playing GTA San Andreas and exploring the woods like we did back in the day
the second you took that paper i thought about tall man and the slender ptsd hit
Oh shit TL has Caribbean roots? Dope!
theres so many secrets on this map dude
36:08 on that computer it’s talk about flying objects
I was wondering why he didn't see the text or the color of the monitor
I remember tearing up the day version of this map in a sherman.
I cant believe you went into the rooms in the tunnel, but didn't look around enough to find the entrance to the secret government conspiracy bunker.
Grew up in the 80s. I guess everybody feels like Brooks from The Shawshank Redemption up to a point: The world went and got itself in a big damn hurry.
Amazing new intro.
loving the new intro gotta say
31:49 You can't have a house at a national park, People who "live" in one don't actually
The national park goes around them and encircles the neighborhood
I have a game suggestion: The Invincible. A retro futuristic space horror game with a nice design based on a novel.
You have to return to find all the secrets!
I took a break from your channel and this video is a good first in a while
You should play SCORN. I think you'd love it. It would be great for this channel
Watching him try to figure out what tf is going on in that game would be great!
Beautiful
18:02 This, again, is why I just can't really get invested in rp maps. The lack of context, furnishing, smaller details, etc. all combine to create a blatantly artificial feeling. You enter a building and the vibe immediately vanishes when you see the empty rooms and think, "Oh, right, this is meant for roleplaying."
13:16 Rambo: First Blood and Free Willy 🤣
Shall we both walk around the wasteland together holding hands. INTO THE RADIUS 2 is out on the 24th.
Awesome videos 😌
42:40 Am I the only one who saw the lights in the firewatch tower go out as he approached?
classic urban maps
damn that intro is niice.
i played this map before but i never knew it had so much in it
Dose anyone else get my little inferno vibes from the libraryons intro ?
I love so much your vidéo ❤
Good intro.
The one other thing you can do in Gmod RP other than police or crime is being the totally legitimate and legal gun store owner.
The Librarian's eyes hurt
I usually find it unfortunate that a lot of these maps don't bother to furnish the interiors (I'm assuming there's a reason, considering there's so much detail otherwise)
But at the same time, it does give this otherworldly feeling like it's just there to trick passersby into thinking it's a populated location, but in reality, it's only there to service as a facade for something else going on
..

.
I'm pretty sure I heard you say "sheep gasoline"
movin on..
You should really try The Aquarium at some point.
4 minutes! great.
I don't know if you take suggestions but i do have noticed you have tried horror mods for Minecraft. So i was thinking you could try another one and i think you may like it! you should try out the Siren Head: The Arrival mod for 1.19.2, Hope you see this! would be cool if you tried it :D
I’m so early, I feel so special
Nice intro!
I love your vids❤
i always thought Librarian is religious.
The towns are great but the rooms are empty
I dont know if its this video but in one of ur videos the tv shows answers at the end and its the answer to the previous message know the truth on the wall near the mannequin and it also has the same symbol on it as in the tv at the end.
More voices of the void please
What I like about this "tall man" is that despite it obviously being the Slenderman, what with his body shape and pages, he is not called slenderman by the conspiracy guys, but the tall man. Having a different name for the same creature depending on the place and era is a small touch that can make a cryptid more believable
marble hornets did it 15 years ago
His original name was the tall man he's from German Folklore
@@KaosDeathLord Der Großmann is part of the fictional mythology made up around him, it's not real. Slenderman originated from the Something Awful forums as part of a contest to photoshop a paranormal looking photo.
Reminds me of how walking dead did it
@@KaosDeathLordwasn't that made up by fans?
