Thank you for playing my map! I'm glad you enjoyed the experience and I loved listening to your commentary once again, especially how accurate it is to my original thoughts. There is definitely one intended interpretation of the map, however everyone can interpret art in their own way, that's the true intention and it's nice to hear that you acknowledged that. As for the "thank you" at the end, it's actually a thanks from me. To everyone who experienced this map, a "thank you" in advance, for choosing to leave your own personal everdawn, and prosper. PS. 19:54 sounds like a distant chicken. Also this map reminds me of the my first Superliminal experience. Part mind blown away with a dash of blank minded exploration.
I find it quite amusing how pretty much right before the end of the map, you missed a Philip Jeffery that was there on the mountain path with you that you would've noticed had you looked away from the door in the rock face.
Not even halfway done with watching this but WOW this is well done. If the creator of the map sees this, you did amazing. And i love your commentary and way of handling the map Librarian! Gonna continue watching now.
It is nice to see the influence you have on this game, and helping it grow or evolve in other ways in stark contrast to the brainrot content that is really popular on the internet. Of course it's not like we didn't have goofy or dumb gmod memes in my time, and it's still similar in a lot of ways. It's very nice see these maps that are basically art pieces made to explore and discover. It's strange to think that more than half of the gmod community wasn't even born yet by the time me and my friends stopped playing it and all my favorite servers shut down. I never imagined it would get to the point that it has, considering how niche it was at a time I thought was the peak.
Wow! This is so clever! I love how the developer has sparked your memories to create your own personal interpretation of what’s happening. It reminds me of the opening narration of the old kid’s show Monkey: “Tathagatha Buddha said, with our thoughts we make the world”.
I've had my own Everdawn, a few times, and it's.. truly so personal. It's bittersweet.. but it's so much more than that. It's something I think most people need to 'have', to experience. Thank you Shady for the beautiful experience, Thank you, The Librarian, and thank you, Philip Jeffery.
I know it would be hard to figure out a good way to do this, but I think you would really enjoy Radiohead's Kid A Mnesia exhibition. It's a game that's essentially a virtual museum exhibition for their albums Kid A and Amnesiac. obviously it has copyrighted music but i'm sure there's _some_ way to play it, make a video of it, and post it without having to take it down. just food for though :)
I'm so envious that you can smooth walk in VR without starting to feel miserable and having tremors after 30 minutes. Darwin: what's your favorite colour?

Sometimes getting a new youtube account is a game changer. I know I started this one when it came out but in the flood of films youtube pummels me with this got lost. So glad Ive been able to finish it. Ya know, I actually just _listen_ to most of your content as I’m at work when I “watch.” The way you narrate makes this work. I glance at the screen from time to time for context but mainly it is your voice setting the atmosphere. So thanks for the way you do your content. Really enjoy it. And this one really made me with I had time to make my own gmod map!
Much of this map reminded me of The Beginner's Guide. Especially the part where you came out onto the small stage and directly read the text right in front of you to the one lone chair.
i was solo exploring this world before watching as i do whenever you upload. and that scare at 21:37 got me SO GOOD. I didn’t see the scare you had before, so i honestly wasn’t sure if i was gonna see an entity or not. i was like 40 mins deep just chilling, then BOOM, he shows up. it killed me man. this map creator is in a league of their own. every.. single… map. has been SO good. i can’t wait to see what he makes next.
Thanks for the gameplay. This game reminds me of the mod for Ultimate Doom, under the GZDoom port, called "The Thing you can't Defeat". This is the 1st episode of DOOM 1 / Ultimate DOOM, where as you progress it starts to get weirder and weirder, including the sounds and music, until in the end everything is distorted to darkness. The mod is about what the protagonist (DoomGuy) would look like if he had a neurodegenerative disease or dementia...
The best way I could describe this map would be "perfectly wrong." Its like jumbling 4 jigsaw puzzles of similar size, the pieces all fit together, but its still, simply, *wrong.*

I believe they will someday come up with a great 3D, maybe even without the cumberson head gear. If they want people to feel immersed in their product, they need to imitate smell, taste, touch, etc.. Right now it's only sight and hearing.
I envy Phillip Jeffries. Dude's successful. he's got many big melons in his giant mansion. So many art galleries, bedrooms, private pools, own metro line and even a piece of outer space. He must live his life to the fullest. True sigma with a mind as solid as concrete. I've only got two melons at home and live in an old solid brick house that looks like Windows95 3D maze. But three cats instead of two, so my place is 3x better.
