@@bessemerlakeerieinhoscale6061 probably at both places same time…in Schenectady 93-97, the engineering building in back (don’t remember #) designing & analyzing 6FA & 9EC exhaust frames, 7H/9H CDC Cases…in Greenville 97-2003 (building with exercise facilities attached) 7H/9H Structures Staff Engr.
@georgiasunbelt I was a bit later - I got to Greenville in 2014, did advanced cooling for stage 1 blades, 7HA.02 was our launch platform for that tech.
@11:00 yes any time I ran bli w paragon engines they would go absolutely haywire on me I never had a bli engine that didn’t! My gp20 willl need at some point a complete rebuild Love seeing your progress
That 4-6-2 brass locomotive is gorgeous! You did a wonderful job detailing it! As far as the layout goes, I'm happy to see its skeleton since I'm planning to tackle my first HO scale layout (a 4x8, your layout is FAR bigger). I can't wait to see this layout progress! It should be useful as I begin construction, and I can't wait to see what you end up doing for electrical and layout detailing.
That's a pretty engine. WOWsound is nice, I like it for my diesels, but I have no experience with it in steam. It certainly comes out nice on the video, though.
Getting close on the mainline! That IS exciting!! That bridge will be impressive. Question: What method did you use to remove the markings off the passenger cars?
Thanks Mark. The more modern manufactures have some really great, kinda too great, methods of applying lettering so it won't come off. I tried ALL the old tricks. In the end...very...very carefully scraped it off with a small flat head screw driver, with the new decal over it, it hides any small imperfections.
Nice update. Two questions: (note, I did not look at the other videos yet) 1- you had a TCS throttle in your hand; are you using the TCS command station? 2- the Bachmann cars had 2 axle trucks. Which make you used to replace the 3 axle trucks? Thx!
Thank you. I have a UWT 100 and UWT 50 throttle, I like them both, and I've made a few converts in the club. Great throttle, with the money. I'm using a digitrax dcs240 command station. It's....ok. it feels like DOS technology and its definitely buggy. I may jump to the tcs system at some point. The bachmann cars came with the 2 axle trucks. They seemed to be produced less the 3 axle but I do see them for sale from time to time.
Pretty much the whole line. Trains originated in Greenville and went to erie, or went to Pittsburgh. There was also motorcar service Conneaut to Albion for a while, as well af the hilliard branch. The trains stopped at every single little town. If encouraged you to watch "last runs of the bessemer bullet" on UA-cam.

Thank you! I was at Greenville - advanced manufacturing works, spent time setting up cores and castings in bldg 66, Schenectady.

Thank you! I used to have a MRC prodigy express on a smaller layout, they ran bullet proof on that system. It's just the mix! So bizarre.

Starting out small is the best way to learn! This is my 5th build, build 1 was plywood on a card table.

Off hand wouls you know what the whistle in 81 is? Reminds of the locomotives they have at dollywood love that sound
With my Digitrax Zypher,each time I turn it on I check to see it's on '5 128.'It always reverts to something else.
